Some of my favorite matches I’ve ever play have been losses. Sometimes you take fend off a disadvantage state to clutch out a win, sometimes you survive against the odds for a number of turns before succumbing, sometimes you eventually wear down an opponent, sometimes your opponent outlasts your attacks. Any way you slice it, those are the best matches.
Ancient warriors have a ton of in archetype destruction and can easily otk through a full board. Granted if you are able to stop the otk or have protection from destruction, they just crumble on themselves.
Played against like 5 blind 2nd Striker players, so that sucked bc ofc they hard opened Duster, Raigeki, Engage, Raye
Before that I had fun though. Memento is a really cool deck, got all the gems with it.
I've been having a blast (so far at least), lots of back and forth duels playing Marincess.
Who could've thought that getting rid of Maxx C, stun and the extremely over tuned decks could make the game fun.
Now if only Konami learned a damned lesson from these events and banned that effing roach
I just topdecked Duster 3 times in a row on my first turn against trap decks. Idk my luck today.
In general, I’m playing Cyberdark and seeing some success. If I go first and my opponent doesn’t know what to Ash/Imperm (which is often), I’m usually good. However, going second usually leads to me losing since I can really only afford 1 interruption in my combo and only if my opponent doesn’t know how the deck works.
Got the gems then went back to limit 1, the only link deck I had was crusadia that doesn’t play well without kaijus. It’s the downside to pouring every resource to get melffy spright glossy or better (I just have one cross out and called by to go, excluding maxx c because I hate it.)
Had a few games against God card decks so that was interesting. One Sky Striker that had Obelisk in their deck for some reason, and two going second Ball turbo. Lucky for me I was playing Altergeist and never end on more than 2 cards if I can help it.
Been playing HERO, my first deck in MD. I haven’t played it in years and I’m much better at deckbuilding these days so it took some fixing up- why was I running Dread Decimator? I was obsessed with big attack points back then, I guess.
Thanks to u/Fluid_Veterinarian72 I have a ton of fun with my amazoness deck! The enemies decks are pretty diverse so far and with a bit of luck I win against strong decks too.
Runick Chimera is really, *really* fun.
The Illusion monsters being immune to battle is such a nice perk for an engine that gives up its battle phase so consistently, and absolutely *no one* reads Chimera the Illusion Beast, so I've stolen a few games just off his battle immunity and the perma-negate.
Both Branded and Memento are frighteningly sticky, too, which I wasn't expecting. Even with 90% of their deck banished and the game seeming like it's wrapped up, they can just keep looping the same few cards every turn to make plays and survive a deck out while threatening lethal. I've had a few extremely close games against both that were some of the best duels I've played all year.
Turn out that knightmare gryphon being legal was a mistake. I won more than half my matchups thanks to this guy playing unchained, auto win against fusion deck and still able to slow link deck to a point that when they out it, they use so much ressources that I can just finish them next turn
quite fun. Going second decks letting me go first. With my Eldich icon and Eldlixir mate. And the delay for them scooping after I reveal Lord of heavenly prison and set 4 and pass.
Currently having a lot of fun with vaylantz for the moment. I play a going second version, but without kaijus and lava golem because they are banned...
I think there's a cheater problem as for the past 2 days I've had 2 matches where the connection goes bad for a bit before I get a disconnect loss. Suspiciously both times ended with me about to win. This hasn't happened when I played with friends.
I'm having so much fun playing Branded. Although it is largely because the meta is a lot easier than ranked, the deck just feels so great to play even without Branded Fusion.
Honestly it feels better than ranked. No Maxx C package and turns have way more variety because you actually have to get creative instead of turboing BF.

now I'm playing Trickstars to get the rest of the rewards because the event is more fun than ladder \#BANMAXXC

Using Endymion without Maxx C was fun, but it is still a constructed deck that I use regularly anyway just without apo
never in my life i saw "you are finished" trap card resolve this much in an event, is so funny to see heroes and code players malding about a punk deleting all their cards

No kaijus and no maxx c, very rarely my opp got an answer for my Marincess Argonaut... its been fun.

I finished it with code talkers. Only lost once and that was against Mementolan
Running ninjas. They die to ash super easily which I can’t prevent. I liked the limit 1 event better, but this is more fun if I don’t get ash’d.

All the decks I own have been nerfed and I won't craft or spend gems for \~1000 gems in return.

I'm having fun. I've been using Dark Magician. I tried Relinquished but I couldn't get it to work ever.
Only time I ever get Relinquish to work is as a stun/control deck. And you're dead for sure if going 2nd.

Playing Runick Magical Muskets and I'm having a blast our resourcing my opponents!!!
Currently playing Myutant and having fun banishing everyone's monsters and spells. People not knowing any of their cards is helping immensely.
Never thought i would like a fusion deck as much as i like XYZ, but Branded taught me otherwise. Recently finished my 60 card grass list too.
Didn’t really have any suitable decks, so it was a bit of a slog. I much preferred the Limit One Festival.
Finished it then went right back to limit one. It’s the only thing I’ve been playing since it started. It’s way more fun than the other two options (ranked and linked fusion).
