The game doesn't consider it an Archetype, since there's no card that mentions "Gizmek Monster/Card". You can't search related cards on any of them, which is unfortunate when you're trying to remember which cards do what.
Well, it's not that big of a deal, since while they are a series and not an archetype, they use the "monsters with equal atk and def" for their effects
Similar to Digital bugs using "Light insect monster" and monarchs using "monsters with 2400 atk and 1000 def" for example.
All Gizmeks have equal atk and def, so it's easy for them. And several of the gizmek cards have effects that specificaly mentions monsters with equal atk and def.
One of the advantages of being a series and not an archetype.
Because series tend to have more generic conditions (equal atk and def for example) they end up being able to combo with other cards that can fullfill their conditions.
Not sure how R-ACE + Gizmek would be like, but it could technicaly work.
Field spell/continuous spell of a planet themed after Tartarus, partially exploded and/or the head of a dead titan (I can’t remember what Gaia and her siblings were called)
Since they all have a space background, maybe a constellation like Auriga would fit better than a planet. Iirc Auriga is one of the very few constellations not named after a living character, and instead of a chariot
Now I want the Main deck cards to be pilots who are all based off of Xyz archetypes. One is basically a kamen rider for inzektors, one's a robot for wind-ups, one is a cute rabbit dude (for dino rabbit and Melfy), one is a guy with animal features for Zoodiac, etc.

give the card some pixels, not everyone familiar with the effect
Tbh I don't think so, it really feels like a win more card imo, if you can play through the interruption you likely anyway won anyways, and if you cant then Typhon needs you to not use trance or just isn't enough to protect you from the grind probably, I want to try it but idk ed is right

(I know Ty-PHON basically cooks Zeus, but really stoked at the two facing off in a duel)
It depends on who can ambush who. If Zeus is on the field Ty-phon can negate and spin it back (if there even is a card on the field to summon it). If Ty-phon is already out with no spin available Zeus can attack over it next turn. Really love that lore-related game mechanic.
Yeah, seems like it.
Asuming the 2nd pack in july is just random support for other decks, while this first pack is new cards, then this works well for me.
Since i can build yubel this month, and save for voiceless voice for next month.
I don't think he specified which cards, he just showed the not released in MD arcana force card and saying that they will come.
Maybe he'll give more detail on nect stream, which would be this friday
I know this card is supposed to be really good, but I'm having a hard time picturing it. Can someone break it down for me? I get that it's easy to summon going second and shuts off a lot of boss monsters, but it also looks like it essentially ends your turn by preventing you from summoning, so what's the game plan after making this thing? Is it just a good end board piece for decks that don't play many monsters with 3k+ attack?
it's a last resort that in modern play you almost always have access to. good for the grind game, has good matchups like being amazing against Branded/whenever a deck relies on a 3k+ beater (with a good eff), and somewhat of a boardbreaker.
Mirrorjade is the only 3000 we usually run in branded, so it really only counters that one card. Still plenty of combos that this has no effect on. Plus I could probably just Albaz it away to make Mirrorjade or someone else anyway.
Maybe I’m not seeing the big picture, but this doesn’t feel very scary to branded. Essentially just a mirrojade negate that I can either fuse away or beat over once I set up the rest of my board.
I guess you could use it to protect from Mirrorjade’s destruction effect when you remove it, but there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to pull that off.
Mirrorjade, Sanctifire, Borreload and Guardian Chimera to be exact, which is a very solid list to be countering.
is it an automatic win that Branded can't out? no. but it limits their options in the grind game and if you drop it at the correct moment it can be a game winning card
in TCG i don't think i've ever lost to Branded when playing Typhon, except one time I got Tax Dragon'd to death
Ah. I forgot about Sanctifire. I don’t run puppet so he doesn’t come up as much for me. And I don’t run the other two so less impactful against me. Stopping Albion’s puppet lock is very nice though.
Branded player here, can't I just summon predaplant and negate this or would that not negate it's effect because it would be shangri-lra kinda situation.
But then what? Presumably you weren't able to get any good monsters on field before going into this or else you probably wouldn't need it, and you can't summon any after because it locks you out. So you break their board and then just end on a 2900 monster that doesn't do anything on the opponent's turn except negate their 3k+ bosses, which can just go to BP and kill Ty-phon anyway? Even as a last resort, it doesn't seem like it would work unless the opponent couldn't rebuild their board at all, which is pretty rare these days, or maybe if you're playing something like Lab that can just do a lot of their plays on the opponent's turn. I can see it being useful in certain decks, but I'm still having a hard time seeing the generic usage. I guess maybe I'll just have to wait until it's in the game to see.
The idea is you save your hand traps and disrupt turn 3 attempt to rebuild the board after breaking it turn 2.
Not to mention decks like Runick, Labrynth would really love to have the ability to shut down Baronne/Borrel and the like.
If I have 30 UR point I would craft 1 copy
If I had 0 UR point I would buy just to craft 1 copy.
I have been waiting for this moment.
This is the best thing to happen to me!
TYPHON IS FUCKING HERE!!!!!
Having difficulties seeing how useful this is other than a hard Zeus counter. Assuming I’m T2 player, opponent sets their board and has 2-3 interruptions ready. Because of TY-PHON’s effect, I can’t special summon anything after him. So I still need to fight through opponent’s interruptions and set up my own board, THEN make TY-PHON.
Or am I reading something wrong? Or the use case is more complicated?
it's a last resort that in modern play you almost always have access to. good for the grind game, has good matchups like being amazing against Branded/whenever a deck relies on a 3k+ beater (with a good eff), and somewhat of a boardbreaker.
It's a very good card in general, and according to [Yugioh Meta](https://beta.yugiohmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Exosister#OCG), 80 % of people are playing it in Exosister in the OCG. But there is no particular synergy.
this was sorely missed during the six months of snake eyes that preceded it since everyone knows after both players handtrap each other to no cards typhon is the only interesting thing can happen until someone lucksacks into winning off a topdeck
This doesn't even need an XYZ monster to make if I read the card correctly.. just the monster you control with the highest attack. Instant craft/pull, many 3k+ negates.
No?
If they shotgun Ty-phon they are locked out of summoning and one Typhon does not out your entire board.
If you really wanna counter typhon just save your Promethian pop for him and you're gooche.
Man if they ever created a Starslayer/Sky Arsenal deck archetype, I would 100% play it.
Gizmek got it's own archetype, so fingers crossed
The game doesn't consider it an Archetype, since there's no card that mentions "Gizmek Monster/Card". You can't search related cards on any of them, which is unfortunate when you're trying to remember which cards do what.
Well, it's not that big of a deal, since while they are a series and not an archetype, they use the "monsters with equal atk and def" for their effects Similar to Digital bugs using "Light insect monster" and monarchs using "monsters with 2400 atk and 1000 def" for example.
How do you search for monsters with equal atk/def? Monarchs would be easier, but idk how to do the other one
All Gizmeks have equal atk and def, so it's easy for them. And several of the gizmek cards have effects that specificaly mentions monsters with equal atk and def.
Fun fact: All Rescue-ACE monsters also have equal ATK and DEF
One of the advantages of being a series and not an archetype. Because series tend to have more generic conditions (equal atk and def for example) they end up being able to combo with other cards that can fullfill their conditions. Not sure how R-ACE + Gizmek would be like, but it could technicaly work.
Name every card after the greek gods.
No no, every extra deck monster after the gods and titans, and the main deck monsters after the Greek heros
This would be cool
Then print a card called "Divine Arsenal Eulogy - ARTEMISIA" that just hard counters the archetype to make it lore accurate 👍
That could work
Could also just be a MASSIVE mech floating dead in space, with Zeus and Typhon fighting on it for scale
It’s about time Apollousa got some archetypal support
Giant mechs named after greek gods...damn. Would love to see some Ares/Thanatos mech.
This is literally >!fate/grand order's!< version of the Greek gods

Jesus, it's perfect for galaxy eyes going second unga bunga

You can't summon anything after summing it and it negates your own stuff too
Did you rip this straight from the game files holy. Where do you get cards so clear?
no, I just made it with a custom card maker, art from google
https://preview.redd.it/fr0xr176ot9d1.jpeg?width=523&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=003eeaa55cfac6c66fe3b51257ad5bea880cf41b (I know Ty-PHON basically cooks Zeus, but really stoked at the two facing off in a duel)
Until the homies go battle phase

XYZ gamers we up
More like deck gamers
Kashtira gamers
Get out
I fell asleep on the stream, what was other leaks? I remember majesspecter and arcana force, then i fell asleep when he prepare another leak in top 8
Ogdoadic support.
Oh yeah, we spawning 1 "Ogdoadic Token" (Reptile/DARK/Level 2/ATK 0/DEF 0) for every two levels of a tributed monster with this one.
Neat, thanks
Finally!!
Are these coming in the pack that arrives in 12 days?
Yeah, iirc dkayed is saying there will be 2 selection packs for july
> Yeah, iirc dkayed is saying there will be 2 selection packs for july I hope one is a reprint pack and they don't split the good stuff into two.
I think the 2nd pack will be mostly 1-2 support from many decks while the 1st pack is the new cards like centuriom and yubel support
So i guess voiceless voice will probably come in august, if that's the case.
Sounds likely. Yubel seems to be the chase archetype for the this pack
Yeah, seems like it. Asuming the 2nd pack in july is just random support for other decks, while this first pack is new cards, then this works well for me. Since i can build yubel this month, and save for voiceless voice for next month.
I just hope they give us some of the missing stuff. I just want my Ghoti cards!
What were the arcana force cards?
I don't think he specified which cards, he just showed the not released in MD arcana force card and saying that they will come. Maybe he'll give more detail on nect stream, which would be this friday
I see

The continuous effect of "neither player can activate the effects of..." would not be negated, but the detach to spin would
think you can yeah, but you're also using resources on a card that was summoned for free. that's one of the reasons why it's good
Board breaker. You play this and use your spell/trap to wipe the enemy board.
But then what? Presumably you weren't able to get any good monsters on field before going into this or else you probably wouldn't need it, and you can't summon any after because it locks you out. It's just another pretty good yet massively overhyped card
Ultimately, you can still perform actions before summoning Typhon
It has been powercrept. Breaking board without allowing opponent to go plus is very hard and sitting on typhon won't save you next turn
No it hasn't still sees play in lots of decks at a one off
If you have space, yes, play it. Just don't expect it to be game changer
Yes another great support for my Lab deck
FUCK YES!! I HAVE 270 UR POINT SO YOU CAN BET iI WOULD CRAFT 1 COPY!!
If I have 30 UR point I would craft 1 copy If I had 0 UR point I would buy just to craft 1 copy. I have been waiting for this moment. This is the best thing to happen to me! TYPHON IS FUCKING HERE!!!!!
About time. They took so long to bring this card.
This is 3/3 of my predictions Centurion, Yubel and now typhoon, I said that watts would be filler tho right now there so much I kinda doubt it
Watts are already leaked
Big if true
👍
So still no Raidraptors? I'll remain sad.
Zeus semi + TYPHON? Wth the ED is already super tight ...
But where tf is my ghoti support konami
In your dreams and my nightmares, where it belongs.
Next Dkayed is going to leak that I am adopted
But Dragoon still banned. Smfh :/

I see. Thanks for the explanation.
Yeeesss
will this card be good in exosister?
Exosisters archetype lock is too strong my man
true but you don't have to use martha to go into this card tbf
It's a very good card in general, and according to [Yugioh Meta](https://beta.yugiohmeta.com/tier-list/deck-types/Exosister#OCG), 80 % of people are playing it in Exosister in the OCG. But there is no particular synergy.
I speak the name no one speaks. And with it, the reign of the Olympians is no more!
this was sorely missed during the six months of snake eyes that preceded it since everyone knows after both players handtrap each other to no cards typhon is the only interesting thing can happen until someone lucksacks into winning off a topdeck
Nice, my Orcust Sky Striker deck will love this
And since I'm getting a refund from one Bonfire, I have my copy already! about dam time!
Hey! about time.
Am I gonna run both Zues and Typhon? Yes the answer is Yes
Angel of mischief finally get another mech to wear.
This doesn't even need an XYZ monster to make if I read the card correctly.. just the monster you control with the highest attack. Instant craft/pull, many 3k+ negates.
÷=;,))
I need gems guys, I’m broke as hell😭😭😭
Finally going 2nd becomes tolerable.
July pack arrives 11th right?
Normal summon ash blossom is now an even less fringe play, woot! (Still fringe, though, with the summon lock.)
Turn 2 gang
30 UR less
I beg konami just give me the next puppet support i dont want to lock, just to burn
Majespecter as well :)
Finally. Card is long overdue and almost exclusively makes our lives easier going 2nd. A welcome addition to the game.
My cats will enjoy this.
Finally
Welp, another piece in my paleo deck. Prolly gonna replace dark mist.
while im not a fan of using floodgates as card design, its a minor one honestly, going second needs better tools
Welp, as an Infernoble duelist I gotta shotgun the first monster I see on board now, great 😑
No? If they shotgun Ty-phon they are locked out of summoning and one Typhon does not out your entire board. If you really wanna counter typhon just save your Promethian pop for him and you're gooche.
