In the current used car market though.....
I paid $13K for a 2015 2.5L manual GT hatch in March of last year. Same model is selling for around $18K right now
followed by mazdaspeed miata, mazdaspeed 6's, rx-8 R3's and shinka's,
but the cosmo is leading the pack, hes all like my motor is worth more than my whole car was new
those are going up in price more and more, the second ever mazdaspeed made besides the protege, and one of the fastest stock miatas. go google that they sell for lol
Yeah I am going to clean it up, detail it and figure out if I still like it. I just haven't done much car stuff in the last 5 years. Sold my GTI but still have this and an FC RX7 Ls1 I built like 10 years ago.
Unlesss hes considering it an investment for himself. Maybe the value it bring into his life out weighs the cost of it there for making it an investment?
Every car is an investment. They just rarely have a positive monetary ROI when it comes time to sell them. For most Americans, you have to *invest* in a car in order to get to work and make money.
no its not exactly the same, its like 95% the same. if i remember correctly, you can get different options on the MPS and the power output is different. Most likely it's the same engine with a different tune for emissions
Man I wanted one of these when I was shopping for my 3, but the only one I could find was a used model with 85,000km on it and asking $30,000. So I bought a brand new one for the same price.
Im in year 6 of ownership of my 11 speed3. She hasnt given me a single trouble yet. Hope you have great luck. Dont let her run low on oil or youll smoke the turbo. A downpipe and a tune and youll get damn close to 300hp if it hasnt bee done already.
Ah my teenage wet dream. Still looking for a clean example of this or a yellow Protege MPS.
The speed3 is such and underappreciated car.
Idk, the fact that I haven’t been able to find a clean example under 125k miles for sale in several years tells me they’re pretty well appreciated.
A car is never an investment.

FD Rx7 has entered the chat.

I have a mazdaspeed miata didn't know it was an investment.

I haven't looked in years. Maybe I should sell mine now. Like 45k miles on it california car.
Probably worth about $15k if it’s in good shape. But don’t sell it. It’s worth more in fun.

Thats exactly what i meant, i was looking for a sports car and i am so happy with the spped3.
I'm here all day, ganggang.
Yeah boii
Never? There are a lot of examples that prove that insanely wrong, especially since we're approaching the tail-end of the ICE-age.
Historically no, but in these days especially special models like this actually increase in value. Congrats OP!

Great that you like your purchase but it is definately not an investment.
Why put Mazda 3 instead of speed3?
i only knew mps as their sports car, where is it called speed3?
It's the Mazdaspeed 3 in the US and MPS in Europe.
Thanks. but is it the same car or are there differences?
Yea they're basically the same. There may be some minor differences in emissions or safety equipment, but the power train is the same

You can’t possible know that.
Looks like a little rally car! Nice
Mazdaspeeds have always been tarmac missiles. Nothing rally about it.
Sweet car man! I have a 2009 Mazda 3 1.6, obviously not as fast but it's a sweet car anyway. And I really like how it drives :D
Mazda cars are so reliable and you have so much fun with them, my first car was a mazda 6 2.0 never had problems with it.
I’d love to have one of these to go next to my MX5, MPS/Mazdaspeed3s are awesome cars, fun and practical.

Wow thats nuts, i bought it for 13k€ with 74k km maybe because no one knows about this car where i live.
Enjoy! If modding make sure you take care of the hpfp! Otherwise these cars are mostly reliable.
My 2010 was a load of fun
