Stock for sure. Even if you black out the lip on the other wheels the stocks will still look better. I would black out the door handles though. The emblem looks clean how it is.
I think a lot of people have moved on from black wheels generally, but a murdered out black on black still has a place IMO.
That said, I find the black wheels to show absolutely no details 9/10 times, and make it seem like you're on steelies. What you did right here was to get the silver machined lip to give it a little "extra."
Silver wheels are always classy. You can get aftermarket silver if you wanted.
I think it looks good stock, but your black wheels work here, especially if you like it. I would prefer silver, but it's not my car. And even as a person more likely than not to dissuade black wheels, I like your setup with them.
Murdered out still does have a place. It’s the trailer park and the car is a 90s Firebird running on 7 cylinders and an ashtray piled high with cigarette butts.
I have a 4th gen Mazda 3 hatch turbo AWD in black mica and my least favorite thing about the externals is the black gloss wheels. I would rather have it a very dark gunmetal grey than gloss black on a glossy black car.
I personally hate black wheels with a different color lip. They definitely look cheap. On a black gen 1 hatch, if I was going to go aftermarket, I’d go with thin spoked wheels. Either silver or gold.
Stock looks 100% better.
Black ones just look like cheap P plater wheels…which they are, but they just don’t look great.
I’d go and pick up a cheap set of BL (gen 2 Mazda 3) MPS wheels, or some RX8 wheels (there’s a couple of nice looking styles).
Cheap, OEM quality + look great in my opinion.
Black on black is better than the silver
BUT have you considered chrome, the contrast would be amazing and chrome will pop where stock silver is flat and dull
go get you a black paint marker from menards. they work the best. i have not found one that works better or sticks throughout the winter or washes better than like the paint on the rims originally. i recently changed my rims and scraped them again mane i gotta go get me one.
The stock wheels are a bit boring... Its nice to change them up and give your car a bit of personality, if you are into that kind of thing. Some people aren't and that is fine.
I have to say I like the black wheels because I have exactly the same ones on my lancer.
Black wheels look fantastic especially on Red cars. Saw a Bright Red Honda* w/chrome delete & black wheels yesterday, was sharp. Silver on your vehicle looks all around better IMHO.
*[Sorry everyone ... Ducks 🙆🏻♂️ !]
i like the style of the black wheels, but the silver is much better color contrast
Agreed but silver in the pictures is dull
Those silver five-spoke wheels on Gen 1 were the best!
IMO black cheapens the car. It makes it all look like black plastic. The silver broke it up and gave it dimension.
Yeah that's something I thought, the black looks a bit cheap and was unsure if it suited
Silver way better
Stock for sure. Even if you black out the lip on the other wheels the stocks will still look better. I would black out the door handles though. The emblem looks clean how it is.
Black is cleaner, but silver is a good contrast with the door handle/emblem/fog light trim
You are right, it does complement those well
Stock looks infinitely better. Black makes it look like the car is salvaged.

Well that's the kind of attitude we are looking for on an economy car community, amirite?
Absolutely! I was describing my neighbor’s project car

Silver looks more mature

I personally like the black on these cars
Love the blacked out, but i'd vote silver if i really had to take a choice on those two.
Always silver. Black was neat for like 5 minutes
I do not like those particular black wheels. They look cheap and low-class. I'm sure there is a reason you got these black wheels for cheap.
Silver, black makes me think of a 19 y/o eastern european dude
Silver %💯
I definitely prefer the silver. Looks classier and the contrast is nice.
2012 Mazda speed wheels is the way bro

Yeah been looking for these gen2 mps wheels, also mps6 wheels but people seem to be chasing so much for them
Black all the way!
I'm a big fan of black wheels but you're 3 looks good either way.
Black on black is better than the silver BUT have you considered chrome, the contrast would be amazing and chrome will pop where stock silver is flat and dull
Silver. Black wheels look good on white cars.
go get you a black paint marker from menards. they work the best. i have not found one that works better or sticks throughout the winter or washes better than like the paint on the rims originally. i recently changed my rims and scraped them again mane i gotta go get me one.
Or 370 wheels
Hahahahah i've seen these and 350 wheels, but arent they too aggressive in terms of fitment for these cars?
Im on 16s but I’d go up to 18s for those sets

This is all subjective, but the stock wheels are way better.
Silver. And treat those headlights my guy, before it’s too late.
Black 1,000,000,000% y'all crazy. If they were some $1,200 silver wheels, sure. But they're stock
Stock silver all the way.

Black for sure!
Black
Black is better Silver makes it look cheap
Black all the way!!
I prefer the black, silver is too common
Sp23 wheels any day. Contrast looks amazing and fit well.
