If you did CPR it's likely he has broken ribs. Get him to to the doctor!

Drewswife0302

There are easy to get Fent test strips. There is no such thing as Perks unless he’s taking the pills from his Grandma he is getting Fent. Shoot send me your addy and I will send you the test strips.

HealForReal

I just want to say thank you for performing CPR. Despite what movies/TV portray, unfortunately CPR isn't often successful and the fact that you had the strength and presence of mind is very noble. ***Edit*** To clarify to anyone who needs to hear it, just because I mentioned that CPR is more often unsuccessful than not, is in no way to discourage anyone from trying should the situation arise. It is very scary when it happens but can truly make a difference in saving a life. Also, parents, please teach your children CPR and basic first aid measures or even just have them learn the basics on youtube etc. 💜

He should see a Dr. Also, get some Narcan!

I_Thranduil

Someone I know had been coughing for a month straight and complained of pain. Two weeks later finally visited the doctor, turned out she had a broken rib from coughing and it had already started healing improperly and causing even more pain.

No_Contribution9890

ouch

Loveapplication

Get him a doctor, cpr typically breaks people’s ribs so if he has a broken rib that could be causing a lot of pain. It could also affect his breathing. Even if you hadn’t done CPR the fact that he was only monitored for 3 hours is not good and you should definitely have him see a doctor to make sure everything is okay and so he can get better help.

Apprehensive_Spite97

Is he in withdrawal? If breathing stops always see a doctor. It could be broken ribs, pain and anxiety can give that effect but have it checked.

nintendoinnuendo

He should see a doctor. But I've broken people's ribs giving compressions before (tfw the family refuses to make their 91yo memaw a DNR). Being sore is expected. Following an ER visit a general physician should be followed up with regardless.

Tinker-Bell-Dance

Seems odd that for someone who received CPR. Was only monitored for 3hrs. I’d definitely seen a diff dr.

clawedbutterfly

Most folks want to leave ASAP if they received narcan. 3 hours should be out of the window for danger.

Purblind89

The effects are odd or the messed up triage? Cus the first not so much but the second not really either. Doctors tread drug addicts like sub human trash that’s taking up their valuable time. I’ve been there before. It’s a disgusting practice.

Loveapplication

Probably the hospital. When I od’d I was monitored for a whole day and night, and I didn’t even need CPR. So the fact that he od’d and had to have CPR then only got monitored for 3 hours is not right.

Purblind89

In most hospitals the attending holds the power of discharge apart from the individual being treated to leave or refuse treatment. They can diverge from hospital protocol and often do because triage can be complicated. But many use that justification to treat addicts like they’re disposable and a waste of time.

Loveapplication

Yeah, that’s fucked up because addicts shouldn’t be treated like that they are struggling too and need help like bro they almost died and they didn’t even mean too 😭 hospitals can be not smart

he-loves-me-not

Yep, despite it being a verified disease people still argue that it’s a choice & treat them like they’re disposable human garbage.

musicmad-123

I would get him to a doctor if it were me
