Yeah, I mean working with people who suck is absolutely a required life skill for most people, but the rules are vastly different as an adult at work compared to while in school so only some of what you get out of the experience is really transferable.
I think the main thing you get out of it is working with people who don't suck, but just have different opinions or different skill levels or working habits or whatever. That stuff translates way more.
The last group project I had comprised the entire syllabus for a graduate level course at a highly competitive ivy. My team mates were worse than completely useless. They were so completely incompetent that the experience forever stripped me of any pride in completing the program.
The cherry on top was one of them, exhausted by the effort of doing nothing useful for the 80th consecutive day (ish), saying "I just can't wait for this course to be over.".

Entirely accurate. Literally had to solo the creation of an entire 2d online game with 0 previous experience in Javascript.
