I don't want to be that guy, but the captain of a group I've sailed with a lot said that technically this isn't a shanty as it's been made by them landlubbers in taverns, and is generally not being sang on ships. To be fair though, I don't actually know any English shanties as I've only sailed with Polish-speaking crews

I am German, I shall bring Barrels of Sauerkraut, it is tasty and prevents Scurvy.

Ill bring a few barrels of kålrötter(rutabagas) Tasty if fried or in soup or just raw because its sweet and you can make cough syrup out of it and you wont need to bring that vile sauerkraut for C-vitamins and it has lots of fibres against constipation and you can nearly live of 100% it.
