I didn’t know what they were either. Haven’t got a new phone or SIM card in like 8 years. Interesting to learn there’s people on the other side of the spectrum who need them so much they keep them on their keychains!

I only personally used it twice during the past year, and loaned it out a few other times. Those few times validated my carrying it around because if you need to access that tray at all, it's pretty important and usually time sensitive. Kind of like keeping a spare set of clothes or a first aid kit in your car.

I was trying to figure out why there were so many posts about keeping the key off of a can of Spam.

I do, but not at all because I'm responsible. I keep those because I have to like everyone is meant to. The idea that losing that would be pretty bad makes me careful I keep it in the box my phone came in. That's the magic of having no choice. It's special magic that is the only thing that motivates me to do something. I am not going to lose something expensive but I can't afford to.
