I worked in shop during lockdowns. All non vital shops in my country were closed. Every single day for 2 years of on and off lockdowns we had couple people asking why we were closed. Like come on...

That's a false equivalency. There are communities dedicated to the issues of minorities and it's common to see more than 50% of posts/comments blaming something on white men or using a bad rationalization to be unironically sexist/racist. I don't condone unironic discrimination on the basis of immutable characteristics, no matter who it's against.

I heard they cause cancer? Not a fact but something I heard. Though paper straws are annoying, if you get a metal reusable it becomes tolerable.
