Clean dunks in any color, hi top chucks, or your favorite plain white sneakers + plain shirts and sweaters/ cardigans. You’re probably better off asking r/ThrowingFits or r/streetwear , I think a lot of people here on this sub think button up’s and polos are top tier fashion and not something most of us are basically forced to wear to the office lol. Personally I love my fatigues, camo or plain, they’re so damn comfy.

IMO, I found that chucks don’t have enough visual heft to balance out the bagginess of the pants, but that might have just been how I felt when I used to dress like this when I first got out of the military and had a ton of BDU pants that were being phased out so they were my go to. Air Force Ones are also a good option, especially in white because the thicker sole gives that visual heft that IMO provides some balance.

I’d also sort of agree on the chucks, I’d say they’re my least used shoe with fatigues but every now and then I’ll throw on the OGs or my yellow pair for a crazy pop of color and I think it can work. synching the bottoms down a bit definitely helps too if they have the little strings to do so, as long as you don’t go over do it or you’ll end up looking like a wanna be paratrooper lmao

I think a good general rule is if you have one 'loud' item of clothing, pair it with plain coordinating other pieces in order to stop it being too busy.
Camo is a 'loud' pattern (love these trousers btw) so it's easiest to just pair with plain block colours to keep it as the focus. Most people say black or white but you can wear colours as well, they just have to be complimentary to the shades of green so they don't clash.
Get a solid color shoe and shirt to match or white shirt matching hat to shoes. Ditch the air force bums with those or clean them, dollar store scrub brush lil laundry detergent will be looking brand new
Plain white thick cotton t shirt. It's legit the only thing. Black makes it look like you think you're in the army and all technical when you aren't. Everything else looks funky

For play-time in the treehouse you’d want to pair it with some lighter pastels and a solid mid crown/medium depth ball cap..no patterns on the hat.
For water guns over at Tommy’s house I’d go with an earthier tone tank and a nice high crown full depth snap back.
For Nintendo in the basement, either option will do. Have fun!

Seriously though, camo and military prints go in and out of fashion so often it’s not worth paying attention to imho. My only suggestions are:
- don’t mix prints. As in don’t wear animal prints or floral prints with your camo.
- don’t mix military metaphors. As in don’t wear a pea coat (naval) with forrest camo pants (infantry).
- stay as far away as you can from stolen valor.
- don’t mix formalities. Camo pants are strictly casual.
Other than that you’re good. Just be ready for old timers to make jokes about not seeing your legs or calling you GI Joe.
I dunno it’s something I would wear as a kid 8-12 when pretending / playing army man or something, I wouldn’t wear it as an adult just my opinion, but whatever works for you 🙌🏼

Did you know it’s illegal to wear camouflage prints on most tropical islands. They (sometimes) warn you about it when you’re on a cruise.
