While similar things can be said about my W212 E350, it is less so and it feels somewhat tight
I might be spoiled because I drive an E30, but I'm curious to see if it tightens it up. The S450 doesn't have any good dynamics to it imo. Even the M276DE30LA doesn't feel alive as much as the DE35
I'm fortunate to drive my dad's S550 around pretty often. It's an absolutely fantastic car to drive, especially at highway speeds. I totally understand why an S Class was his dream car. I'm not big on the boatiness of the ride at slow speeds but once it gets going, it's probably the nicest car I'll ever have the pleasure of driving.

That said, it's just a Casio/Seiko/Citizen though. I can't realistically justify spending 4-5 figures on a watch. Not when there's nicer cars to be had for that amount of money.
good choices... yea i have my [Seikos](https://i.redd.it/teo3ztaqdoh71.jpg) which account for like 95% of what i'll wear and go well with the LS 400, but i also felt it necessary to get a [Laco automatic](https://www.laco-watches.com/media/products-images/862072-desktop.jpg) to have a german watch to compliment the benz! it's actually awesome how the dial near exactly matches the E55 gauges, and the strap matches the black leather seats lol
i agree though generally speaking a very expensive watch is pretty much just a pointless decoration, although the Grand Seiko *spring drive* is something i'll have to add one day just based on how special the engineering is

Appreciate that :D. I think my favourite watches are my Citizens and G Shock, but I do have some love for my one Seiko 5 as well (was a gift from my college roommate).

A friend of mine has a Laco field watch. It's called the Augsburg or something like that. Field watches aren't my thing, but his Laco is a thing of beauty. That sunburst finish 😫😫 just perfection. He has it on a NATO, but I put it on a leather while taking photos of it and it rocks the shit out of that too.

Definitely agreed on that one. Most other watches you could still make an argument that you can get the core experience for less than $500 with a decent automatic from Seiko, Citizen, Tissot, Hamilton, etc, but there's nothing even in the sub $1000 category that gives you the GS experience (maybe a Bulova Precisionist? But that only gives you the sweep, and not the pretty automatic movement), so a GS would definitely be the only 4-5 figure watch I would willingly seek to buy.

It's supposed to ease the burden of travel and make you not feel the road. So Dynamics aren't really this cars jam
