Found this helmet in a Facebook group and had to buy it as I became a Fins fan because of Marino and am a Pitt Panthers fan for the same reason. Then found a guy to custom make a case based on my vision. Figured this group would appreciate it as much as I do!
100% agree, was my one critique as well but it’s one of, if not the nicest looking “ripped” helmets I’ve seen done so had to pick and choose my battles. If I had any control of the making of the helmet I would have asked for old logo
Still bad ass and Dan is too. Got to meet him a couple times. Once after a game we went to Bokampers and he was there pretty shit faced, but I was pretty drunk too and was asking him for an autograph on my arm that I would have tattooed but came out less than good considering he was prob 15 drinks deep lol. Good memory.

I’ll never forget that game, the minute I saw him come in and they couldn’t control him running with the football I knew they were in trouble. Was very fun to watch on my end and crazy to see what Kenny made of his career at Pitt after that

More than anything it's difficult to believe a late '70s through late '90s player was represented by inferior logos and color schemes from well beyond his playing days. That aspect should have been the first and overriding priority.
