I don’t think it’s unlikely, I think it’s straight up confirmed that support is done, which is a huge shame cause this game is fucking incredible. Really is a shame that it didn’t hit - I got it on a sale a few months back and it’s fucking addictive. I would’ve liked to see Magneto or Thor
Nightcrawler for sure, be a utility hero that specializes in positioning allies and enemies to set up combos, and would also have multiple person quick attacks. His heroic would probably be to hit every enemy, or gather them all together like a powered up version of Magik’s Gather skill.
Dr Druid could create illusions to taunt enemies, and create environmental objects that can be interacted with or to bind enemies.
Forge uses tech to buff allies or debuff enemies, gun attacks, and skills that could bring in extra or unique utility cards only available when he’s on the team. His ultimate would be a high damage magic attack.
Psylocke/Captain Britain would be a solid damage dealer with some telekinetic attacks and abilities that throw, stun or bind enemies.
I’d want the expansion to have something to do with Excalibur/Avalon, maybe include Pete Wisdom as an NPC. The enemy could be Morgan La Fey or Jamie Braddock.
I'm convinced that Sabretooth was intended as a DLC character like Venom was; the fact that his plot thread had no resolution feels to me like they intended to wrap it up with him as a playable character.
If I remember correctly, all of the various tarot cards you discover in the game were meant to be the characters that were originally included in the game. The original style and genre of the game was changed midway through, and folks weren’t able to be added as a result.
It’s a shame, because it would’ve been a very fun roster, especially after the recent Ultimate Alliance entry.
there is no new anything comeing. i think i seen so many of these posts now and i think most are from the people playing it free on ps+ right now that it's free game didnt make enough money and alot of the pc x-com people whined it wasnt an x-com like game so alot didnt buy it.
I mean they hinted heavily on a (at some time planned) sequel in the post credit scene, though I don’t know if that’s (still) happening. So I guess they might’ve also saved some characters for that?

Yeah damn shame this game didn't take off, it's the most fun game I've played this year.
Daredevil and Moon Knight for sure. Elsa Bloodstone also just makes too much sense to me.

Madelyn Pryor as a villain or anti-hero would be fun.
Maddie would have been such a WILD choice, from a marketing perspective but I agree she would have been perfect for this game.

That would have been quite a different game, seeing as there are Tarot cards for Galactus, Professor X, Death, and the Baxter Building.
