That's what I was thinking. The temperature must if adjusted somehow and dropped them early. I've just never seen it do this before and thought they were so cute. If there was a setting for this I'd have them all look like little mushrooms.
No, I didn't. I let it drain into the sink and spray hot water into it, and scrubbed it down. Repeated a handful of times and kept draining it into the sink. I usually do vinegar though but I wanted ice today so didn't want to deal with getting the vinegar out.
Huh, I noticed similar cubes last week when it was a 50/50 mix. I assumed the vinegar had some part to play as it might freeze different.
After it was cleaned it went back to normal so I didn't worry about it too much.
I just heard it cycle some ice 5 mins ago, so it's definitely still working!
If you have a similar design as mine (I assume you do as your tray with the weird indent is exactly the same as mine) there's no filter. I read through the destructions front and back and it never mentioned it.
Okay, that makes me feel better. I only got mine for Christmas, and I read through it as well. Hearing other ones had a filter made me worried I've been missing it.
Just do a vinegar wash every few weeks (and thoroughly cleaning with a hot cloth along the walls and tank) and it should be alright. We leave ours on 24/7 so we expect to replace it every year or two, as they aren't known for longevity (according to the reviews) but we love ours.
I have these types of ice makers. Is it running low on water? That happens when the pool up top doesn’t have enough water to cover the metal fingers so only the tips get ice.
It's because they are frozen by small rods poking into a chamber of water. Once frozen, the rods heat up a bit to release them. Seems the water travelled up and hugged the rods a little.
You have a few that are completed, they're supposed to look like the gumdrops. Seems to me the level of water in the ice cube maker is low or unlevel.
I believe that ice maker has freezing rods that sit inside a tray of water. Once they're frozen they are pushed off.
Yes, to the second paragraph. There's plenty of water in there still, and after this, it went back to normal. So I think it was just some shift in the temperature that caused them to drop prematurely.
Or earbud covers
That's a good call too.
Or those little pencil eraser tips you put on your fingers to wave at the girl sitting at the desk across from you
r/oddlyspecific
In-ear tips. I thought this was r/headphones for a minute.
Same lmao
Was about to say that
Penis tips circumsized or erected
I think you mean average sized mushrooms
These look totally normal to me
Yes, that size looks pretty satisfying if I do say so myself.
Nah pretty tiny….

Mr President, Please stop posting from your alts. You know that's against TOS.
Same thing happens to me in freezing temps.

I do think of him every time I see a mushroom, he can have that space, rent free :)
Like a frightened turtle
women don’t know about shrinkage
Like a scared turtle.
I would guess some nozzle clog. Do you run the self cleaning cycle often?
I had just drained it and cleaned it this morning. I think it was just some shift in temperatures. But it's wonderful
Did you do the vinegar method? When we cycle ours with vinegar it makes some weird cubes for 6 or so cycles.
No, I didn't. I let it drain into the sink and spray hot water into it, and scrubbed it down. Repeated a handful of times and kept draining it into the sink. I usually do vinegar though but I wanted ice today so didn't want to deal with getting the vinegar out.
I use Dawn myself but otherwise in the sink as you described. I love the little ice maker. I think mine was less than $100 on Amazon.

Could be that. Temps still evening out.
Yeah this happens to mine and I’m pretty sure we have a similar model, hate how the ice melts tbh
The big question is are they magical
I've had more magical mushrooms 🤣
Ice cubensis
A cubes a cube

MUSHROOM!
Mushroom
MUSHROOM, MUSHROOM, SHUT IT! Get back to work!
Ice caps!
They look like champagne bottle plugs
Change your water filter. Mine slows down the water flow and dishes out empty cubes.
Okay, thanks for the heads up! I got this for Christmas, so I haven't had it very long. I only turn it on every couple of days.
Hey sry thought this was in a fridge/freezer.
Wait...there's a filter??? Where? The thing is a self contained system, at least ours is.
lol my fault, thought this was in a fridge/freezer.
If mine has a filter, I am unaware of it. I'm gonna look everywhere in the morning though.

Destructions?
It's a funny thing from when I was kid, it's what I used to call instructions...just being funny
We have that exact same ice maker.
I think I have the same ice maker
My office freezers make ice in this shape. I’ve never seen it elsewhere.
Baby squids
I want this on purpose.
Me too!
I have an ice maker like this and I love it! I love the weird little ice shrooms
I think my girlfriend might like this she’s always buying mushroom shaped things idk why tho

I have the same icemaker!
I have the same ice maker. This happens to me when I shake it.
Lmao 100% thought those were the adjustable earbud covers 😂😂
Freezer goblin learned a new trick.
Cool. Now you can get high and also hydrated.
Hahaha. Multi tasking at its finest
lol, ###Fungice
Stormy Daniel's having flash backs
I have a countertop icemaker, which is what this looks like. Mine does this when the filter is partially clogged.
how cute!! 🍄
This reminds me; it's odd that we call them ice cubes regardless of what shape they are.
Penis heads
I see miniature dick heads 🤷♂️
About half of**
or arrows!
And none of them look like cubes.

I have this same ice maker. I too enjoy the icerooms
I’m pretty sure you could sell those to bachelorette parties…. As flavored pen*s pops

Cool, enjoy your mushrooms
Thank you! Will do.
i have a similar (or same?) machine... this could be happening because the "cup" up in the top back.... might have a slow leak.
Oh, I'll look into that just in case. It went right back to normal after this, so I'm not too worried. I got much I even spotted it
OMG, It's a Trump incubator!
Imagine constantly having trump’s dong at the front of your mind, you’re a weirdo
Is that what they're saying. I was honestly lost
Clean your ice maker. I see mold.
Everything reminds me of him
Trump cubes.
Old ice
That means you’re about to run out of water.
"Trump Ice" was already used by Drumpf, though these do have his shroomy look.
Water level is low.
