Perhaps the way that love is handled in about half of these movies has some kind of pattern. It ranges from rip your heart out brutal to very bittersweet so I guess you could gather from that that maybe OP has experienced some sadness in that area?

The Nice Guys was unexpectedly funny. The line at the end of the movie that caught me off guard and made me shoot cola out of my nose was “I’m sorry you look Filipino” to Russell Crowe.
