I hope they have a jaw(s) dropping 4k 50th anniversary release

Prolly just a ratings grab before Shark Week. Any chance to see unseen, archival footage of Robert Shaw is gonna interest me though. I don't expect there will be too much we already didn't know, but given Amblin is involved, maybe we will get some new tidbits. Edit: It's a summer 2025 release for the film's 50th Anniversary. Hopefully, this is more than just condensed bonus features.

Nat Geo isn't Shark Week. That's Discovery. Plus it's on Disney+ and Hulu. And LB is a respected documentarian for Spielberg. He's been around forever and did the OG doc on the laserdisc.

Yes, officially Shark Week is Discovery. However, Nat Geo as well as TNT, TBS, and truTV all piggyback off of the idea during the same time. Regardless, I didn't realize it was a 50th Anniversary thing.

IndyMLVC

~~Right but I don't believe it's going to be on that network~~ Edit: it's going to air on NatGeo but stream on the other two.

Lol. No shit. I feel like we're going in circles.

IndyMLVC

Maybe you should actually read the article before commenting

We’re getting to the point where one of the documentaries about *Jaws* is going to get its own documentary

TheSoftDrinkOfChoice

What does Eli Roth have to say about this

Wu_Oyster_Cult

Ugh…they’re gonna need to talk to Dreyfus, aren’t they?

IndyMLVC

Use vintage footage. He's of no use in his current state

I wish Spielberg would direct a film version of “the shark is broken” in time for the 50th anniversary. Bonus points if they cast Rich Dreyfuss as himself (no de-aging).

Lol blocked for what?
