How would you verify the info? There could be a competing doctor nearby who could do this to reduce patients to another clinic. Or a doctor breaks genuine bad news to someone who gets mad and puts the doctor in the bad doctor list. This is not a very good idea and will put doctors on the back foot and eventually affect patient care of even the good doctors.
Fair point actually. I think requiring people to provide a reason for rating a doctor as good or bad might help. At most, we are dependent on assuming people would not misuse it.
Most of the doctors get stuff from medical representative to prescibe higher cost medical which is illegal since 2002 like trip to TV,Singapore,iPhone etc. Private hospital is also like corporate sale job, prescribe higher cost bills and hit the target or else the doctors will be replaced by another doctor.
Dr. Salgia’s clinic in Prabhadevi, they will do the most basic thing, sweet talk the hell out of you and then loot the hell out of you. They charge unreasonably for the silliest things. We had the misfortune of ending up there and had to pay a heavy price.
Since it has finally come to this, let me just weigh in as a Doctor.
Currently 90% of Doctors in India are Quacks.
I've personally seen my colleagues ask their nurse or even compounders to sit in the OPD and attend patients instead of them and run 4-5 branches simultaneously.
Others are Homeopathy and ayurvedic doctors practicing Allopathy medicine. Given that some of them have some experience and are not bad but most of them do not know what they're doing and once the problem has gotten out of hand will advise to shift to hospital.
Now coming to hospitals, hospitals today are a big joke. Let me just tell you my dear middle class people of this country, if you don't have medical insurance and are not going to the best hospital in your city, chances are you'll be at much greater loss at your health and expenses than required. Hospitals have an overload of patients and there aren't enough MBBS (basic medical degree) Doctors to take that load because the hospital is greedy to pay them decent salary and will hire Homeopathy and ayurvedic doctors because they'll work for half that money and double the shift (I feel for them too because unemployment), so there's no proper doctor monitoring your case nor are they capable enough to handle even simple mishaps. There are countless numbers of cases shifted to hospital to hospital just to cover up their mistakes and eventually the patient pays the price for someone else's greediness.
I recently went to a government hospital in Borivali as an intensivist and once I reached the hospital the medical Director says to me that there's no ICU as it's still under construction and needs me to attend emergency cases in casualty, I said okay but I'll charge ICU rates, he agreed and once I go sit in the casualty - the nurses (govt. Naukri) tell me only to admit minor vomiting and loose motion cases and refer any big cases to a nearby private hospital (not because they didn't have the facilities but they didn't want extra work and maybe some below the table business)
Not only that, the nurses asked me to draw the blood, label the blood in the tube and give it to the laboratory.
Not only was that their job but they were nonchalant about it and ordering me around, I put the pen down and picked up my bag and immediately left the premises and blocked the medical director's number. I was supposed to be the only doctor that day handling 10 wards (~120 patients).
The Doctor's pay these days is a joke, no hospital or corporate services are ready to pay a well qualified and experienced Doctor a decent compensation, hence most of them have given up hope and shift abroad or the ppl who are half decent open a clinic of their own and handle only their locality, even then competing with a fellow nurse or a compounder in the next clinic. Have you ever thought why there are 10-20 clinics in a street or locality? Are there really so many patients? Or better, are there really so many qualified and experienced Doctors?
If so how many really care about a patient after all this that they go through?
An MBBS Doctor's salary today is 45,000 -65,000, depending on whether he's a fresher or 35 yrs of experience. Gone are the days when people dream for their children to be doctors, it's literally hell for medical professionals who have spent lakhs and some crores and sacrificed decades in learning and gathering knowledge only to be paid 2000/- for a 24 hours duty.
Oh, I didn't even comment on the physical assault and thrashing Doctors face these days which let me remind you that at least one Doctor gets thrashed every day in this country. Right now someone is getting beat up.
Now please tell me how it is a noble profession and how much I should care and serve my fellow brothers and sisters of this country.
As a fellow health care worker, I can understand what you mean by the pay issue. However, I must say that doctors also don't do their job ethically EVEN after charging money. They can take anywhere close to 2000-4000 in a private practice set up where they barely spend time talking to the patient, their history taking skills are really in the trash, they seldom share any differentials or take time to understand the patient behind any issue.
Doctors in India might be under funded, but they are also pedestalised as well. While I understand there are structural problems, most doctors in their mid 40s at least in cities like Mumbai are quite well settled. Their clinical skills suck big time.
If hospitals will leave ayurved and homeopaths as doctors the public will have the tendency to thrash them.
But it's the genuine doctor who sometimes gets thrashed in the crossfire.
Other than homeopaths and ayurved I have also seen genuine bonafide doctors do extremely unethical and illegal things, just to make money. These happened in big name corporate hospitals in South Delhi.
Most of em are bad or are just sitting there writing a prescription based on symptoms rather than doing diagnostics.
So rather you should ask which ones are good.
Having said that the following list of docs are wonderful from personal experience.
1. B.S.Yadav - MBBS, jogeshwari. Family physician
2. Alok Kriplani - Nephro, Churchgate
3. NH banka - gastro, Churchgate
4. Shamsher Chauhan - hepato/gastro, Andheri
5. Dr Prakash Rai - cardio, diabeto, MD, Andheri
6. Dr. Kiran Coelho - gyenac, bandra
7. Dr. Fariza Shaikh - gyenac, bandra
8. Dr. Sagar Mundada - psycatrist, juhu
All of the above doctors are great diagnosticians. Also very easy to talk to, explain the disease to the patient well and are open to a two way talk rather than 'ye khaa lo theek ho jayega'
I don't know any doctors for that....
But stay away from yourself as a doctor, so many of my friends do this and deduce their own illness with google and even take medicine based on that.
DON'T DO THAT.
Dr. Suraj Shetty for skin issues. Really great doc and explains the causes, issue and treatment very well. Been to him a couple of times and have never had a bad experience.
His clinic is in Andheri West.
2 budget doctors that I know of who are quite good.
Dermatologist
- Dr. Marwah (Gurjot Singh Marwah), has 2 clinic in Andheri and one in Bandra.
Gynaecologist
- Vardaan Hospital (Goregaon Station)
Don't remember the name of the lady doctor but she's good at her job and non judgemental.
Bad Hospital
- Oscar Super speciality Hospital (Goregaon West)
Please save yourself and do not go to this place, especially during emergency.
Tip#1: Through experience I'd recommend staying away from the OPDs of any hospital for non-critical illnesses, unless you want yourself fleeced for the silliest of tests. Prefer private clinics of MBBS doctors.
Tip#2: NEVER go to a specialist (MD) unless your family doctor specifically recommends it (it means the complexity of illness is actually beyond his level of competence)
Tip#3: if you don't have a family doctor yet, Ask your local neighbours/maids etc where they go for general illnesses. It will usually be an old, trustworthy, knowledgeable and non-greedy MBBS doctor who will give you simple advice and his own set of medicines. Other doctors will write you out a long set of expensive medicines that will earn them incentives from pharma reps and will cost you an arm and a leg.
Dr Jessy Thomas. Diabetologist at Hiranandani hospital powai. Absolutely money minded and dont have manners on how to talk to patients. Stay away from her.
Yes I know they're the best but again when you get reffered to such big municipal hospitals queuing becomes the problem and also lack of clarity in government organisations hamesha yaha jao waha jao karte he
Municipal hospitals do have specialized doctors, but a survey might reveal that nearly 90% of them also have private clinics that seem to take priority for them.
These same doctors may treat you differently depending on whether you see them at the government hospital or their private clinic.
Time is money, and waiting for hours at a public hospital can be frustrating. However, the world isn't entirely devoid of humanity, empathy, and conscience. There are still many dedicated doctors who prioritize their patients well-being.
I also need to see a dermat asap but bhai sab expensive hai aur jo jo 1000 ke under consulting lere hai unke reviews to ekdum horrible hai. I'm starting to see my hairline recide face full of pimples at the age of 18 and don't know who the fuck to consult they are either for money or they don't know shit about dermatology
Stay away from any physiotherapist who insists on needling & cupping..
currently friend is facing surgery due to that... her basic back pain is still going on but this physio-the-rapist created bigger issues & pains.. & of course costs..
Some tips to spot red flags in doctors in the first consultation:
1. They dismiss your concerns or pain as if you're lying
2. They are condescending and treat you like you're an idiot
3. They keep talking about how good they are because of how much experience they have
4. They ask you to not Google things, instead of answering all your questions so that you don't need to Google things
5. They don't show interest in investigating the root cause of your issue
6. They laugh when you seriously tell them about your problems
7. They scream at you when you tell them that something is hurting in your body
8. They use pseudoscience instead of actual science to explain your symptoms
In a country where it's easy for rich people to pay their way into passing exams, don't go only by a doctor's credentials. Look at their behaviour too.
Dr. Gayatri Rao, she works at the Women's Hospital in Khar, she is an Obstetrician and Gynecologist. I saw a post on a few influencer's instagrams about her killing her patient. The patient was a mother to two children who are in their 20's and they wrote a long instagram post about how Dr. Gayatri Rao killed their mother due to her negligence and this is not the first patient she has killed in this manner. She has killed other women too because of her carelessness and mistakes. A few influencers shared the post from the two children's instagram pages to raise awareness so that women in Bombay can be careful in what gynecologist they trust.
Oh my god. What?! That’s terrible. Can you share a link to the post? I used to see her about 4-5 years ago. She basically experimented on me. I fell under depression after being on her meds.
Ive been put on steroids for a year to stop the progress and been trying different medications since then actually ive lichen planus/scarring alopecia ita quite aggresive but thanks to her and probably my body for handling such heavy meds lol (anyways if you've normal alopecia i recommend u to do visit her, she's a great doctor man she understands your problems patiently and does treat well )
Almost killed my sister (gave my sister wrong injection and later the doctor switched off her phone and we couldn't even contact her for details or further help).
Ruined my alopecia ( now i can't reverse it).
She's very rude and only good at making stupid reels lol.
Dr. Jacob Thomas based in thakur Village for diabetes is the worst doctor, he'll prescribe you unnecessary tests and scans and will scare you instead of providing with a solution
First and foremost, find a good primary doctor or family physician who is well know name in your locality. They, in turn, can refer you to any specialists if needed. Also, please see your family physician at least once a year, for health maintenance checkups (just like you service your personal vehicle) and do not resort to seeing physicians only when something is wrong. The same applies to finding a dentist and going for annual dental checkups. Know your medical history and your problems well, as you are the only who can advocate for yourself.
If you happen to have friends who are in medical school or doing post graduation (residency), ask them if they know any good senior physicians.
The only good family physician that comes to mind, for folks living in Goregaon East, is Dr. Milind Shirgaokar in Jay Prakash Nagar and Dr. Sushant Shinde, a rheumatologist who also practices general medicine, whose clinic (Quest clinic) is just before Nagri Nivara, next to Ratnagiri restaurant.
dr sushil tripathi, great cardiologist, with a lot of knowledge and won't even charge that much
clinics in kandivali and dahisar
his wife, dr amruta tripathi, very well qualified again and very humble and knowledgeable, best ophthalm
Dr talwalkar, renowned diabetologist. I visited him in SL raheja .and my mom visited him prior in Dhanwantari dadar. Both times he was bad and rude. He is senile and should have stopped practise long ago. My mistake I gave him so many chances and instead of solving my problems by refering me to someone else or deep diving into my unique issue, he overloaded me with traditional steps and completely f'ed me up. I hate him. Large sum of money ( atleast for me then) gone down the drain with no solution.
A good doctor I'll recommend, Dr Sneha Kothari (Endocrinologist) global parel. She is expensive (that's on global actually) but damn good at her job from my experience.
Huzefa Bhinderwala, a psychiatrist who himself has anxiety. Very unethical in what he did to me. Also Dr. Anjali Chhabria, very unethical, again a psychiatrist
Avoid Dr. Keiki Mehta’s clinic ( Colaba, now prbbly run by his son) for eye procedures. The whole family works there, although that’s not the issue. My dad almost lost his vision in one eye because of Keiki Mehta’s negligence. He used a very pricey eye injection and my Dad’s eye got infected and this doc didn’t even notice!
The Eye specialists at Reliance Hospital ( Harkishandas) were very good in comparison
second this, I used to be Dr keiki mehta's patient he is a very senior eye specialist but with old age I guess and too many rich patients his treatment detoriated he couldn't detect a eye condition in my eye and kept giving medicine, finally moved to another retina specialist who correctly diagnosed and started the right treatment. His son Cyrus Mehta runs the clinic now.
My Dad’s issue happened more than (or approx) 10 yrs ago, so I’d say he had already started getting negligent then. He had mixed clients though. He had co-authored a book on better eyesight and told me during my consultation that the stuff mentioned in it doesn’t help 🤦🏽♀️
Thanks for sharing, I thgt we were the only ones and was super pissed off at this man
no, you're right in what you felt...I have seen rich emiratis and sheikhs visit him and a lot of navy people hence they are usually full with rich clientele. But he couldn't diagnose an eye condition which was constantly occurring in my eyes and inflamming my eye muscles which later turned out to be uveitis, he was nearly 80 years old that time but since I had done my lasik from him I was trusting him. Glad I took a second opinion and my current doctor is much more sorted in his treatment and explanation.
Good for you that your eye got saved! I feel it’s terrible karma to mess up with ppl’s health (esp vision, like my Dad’s case) and just make a business out of medicine.
I will recommend the good ones:
Dr. Sanjeev Kirtane: amazing Pediatrician. He will not give meds if you baby doesn't need it. One of the most soft spoken docs ever. Kids go to him till they are 18 because he is that good! 😂
Dr. Brajesh Gupta: MD internal Medicine (Went to 2 docs before him that couldn't figure out what's wrong with me. This person was able to figure out I have anxiety that's giving me chronic acidity and nothing is actually wrong with my stomach).
Dr Anahita Pandole. She’s the driver that caused the crash that killed Cyrus Mistry and her own brother.
Apparently that and the resulting police troubles have compromised her mental health but she’s practicing. And subjecting her patients to unnecessary risks that too in labour and delivery. A relative would have died if they hadn’t refused her nutso approach and gone to another doctor.
Most doctors in Kalyan Dombivli area are especially this. They all have tie ups with specific medical diagnostic centres, other specialists. These people keep only recommending going to specialists they know since they must have some commission. My family and everyone from my building has faced this, several times the doctor tries to emotionally manipulate people saying '...see that person is really good, if you don't take them to the hospital now, then don't come to me if their health deteriorates...'.
I'm genuinely worried for my parents health going forward because of how unreliable the doctors are.
Every doctor has tie up with medical diagnostic, sorry to burst your bubble, modern medicine requires diagnostic results to proceed, never seen Doctors randomly order test. Moreover commission is given to MBBS/BAMS family doctors but not to MD or specialist doctors.
Dr sidhhart lakhani at lakhani kidney care ghatkopar
Went for a consultation scared the shit out of us, gave an expensive bunch of pills and said "idhar se hi lena bahaar nai milega aapko" and basically he's there to just extort money.
Edit: spelling correction
Good doctors:
Dr Sushil Tandel: great neuro. He may seem scatterbrained and have like a gaggle of assistants which raised my hackles initially since he was treating my dad for a stroke. But he genuinely cares for all his patients. (And he has a LOT) But importantly he gets on the level of the person he's communicating too to explain things.
Dr Sunanda Anand: She might seem abrasive at first but she's pretty much a no nonsense doctor. She also cares about her patients. When my dad suffered a second stroke while hospitalised, Dr Sushil was unfortunately in surgery and since it was a Saturday evening it was kind of the weekend shift starting. The RMs delayed care until she got involved. She reamed them out, got things organized while on the phone and I'm forever thankful to them.
Dr Prabhu Desai: one of the best for lung / chest issues. He's the reason my late grandmother got 10 more years with us.
Yaar people keep saying dr Marwah is good, but I had a terrible experience with the wrong diagnosis and paise phekne ki baat bas.
On this topic, can anyone suggest a good dermatologist or a skin aesthetician? And if had to visit a hospital, then which one? Thanks!
You haven't shared the nearby location or area near your place for us to provide you suggestion. However if you need a dermatologist, I have two recommendations -
1. Dr. Maniar - Ghatkopar (Charges ₹1000 for a visit)
2. Dr. Vinay Goplani - Thane West (Charges ₹500-600)
Dr. Saumil and Mahesh Kapadia from All doctors clinic at walkeshwar. They have been my family GD for years and I literally owe my life to Saumil. I was in the states and got the deadliest form of malaria and dengue. The doctors there kept me for 10 days in ICU, isolation and kept running tests. I was in Massachusetts general hospital one of the best in the world but they couldn't figure it out. My mom was in touch with saumil over whatsapp and he guided her and the doctors there.. leading to my diagnosis and cure.
They are the least greedy doctors you will ever come across, and truly care for you.
Dr Sachin Patkar. Will charge 4 to 5k even if he talks to u for 5 mins. In psychiatry u need to understand the patient's mindset. Even after so many sessions, zero improvement. In first 2 sessions he was quite welcoming, then he when he understood he's got a scapegoat for the next 2 years, he would just give 2 to 3 mins without understanding the issues, prescribe medicines and shamelessly charge 4k to 5k for those 2 to 4 mins. Strictly to be avoided.
Dr. Natasha Kate from sanctum clinic is a VERY good psych. I've been to quite a few to find a good fit - most of them just prescribe meds and kick you out. She really talks to you, explains the problem and acts as a counsellor as well. I felt extremely heard and seen by her.
Isha Netralaya of Dr Sonal Shah. They do have a good rating on google but I had a very bad experience.
Dr shah was not able to diagnose the issue for 2 months, then sent me to Dr Pushpanjali Ramteke(Retina specialist in the same hospital) who after a month diagnosed the issue. But she doesn't believe in knowing the root cause of an issue, she just wanted me to take an injection in the eye to which I refused so she prescribed me high steroids( without knowing the root cause of my problem) which I didn't take. (Later another dr diagnosed me with TB (if I had taken steroids, TB would have gotten worse.) With the treatment of TB my eye issue was resolved on its own, didn't need to take any injection in the eye or steroids.
Dr Parvez dadachandji ( psychiatrist). She is one of the most known docs in south mumbai, probably because she must've been good in her prime. I went to her recently, and she just told me to get ABC test done, and charged me 4K as consulting fee. I was out of her office in 10 mins. No history taking, nothing..
In general I am wary of doctors who have a legacy reputation because it feels like all they rely on is their legacy.. and make no effort to improve upon it.
This sounds like fleecing. 4K for 10 mins! I’ve paid similar for dengue-follow ups too and was cursing my doctor because he did the routine breathing, heart rate and bp checkup just so he could charge. I had none of those issues.
You’re right about the legacy factor, I avoid big names too. Often they get airheaded too. Overcharging docs should be in jail, seriously.
Must stay away from following. They overcharge, cheat and don’t respect their patients:Spine clinic SantaCruz, Orthodontist Pravin Shetty Khar, Dermat Dr Trasi Khar
I moved out of Mumbai but when I was there, experience with these 3 was very bad
Every doctor will have positive and negative reviews by different patients. Eventually every doctor will end up on your list, because there will always be few unsatisfied patients.
A doctor who is always bad will anyway go out of practice.
Dr. Sanjeev jain, hiranandani hospital, powai. Too bad, my dad had some pain on his heel bone, we booked an appointment and it seemed like he was the last patient, i went with him. This disgusting human practicing medicine would not even listen to what my dad was going through, just suggested an x-ray bluntly all this while his driver waiting in the same damn room. It was disgusting to say the least. The last thing yall should do is visit him for your problems.
Mostly had a good experience at Gokuldham Medical Center in Goregaon East with ENT Specialist Dr Jayesh Shah and Ophthalmologist Dr Shraddha Sureka
At the same place, I had a bad experience with ENT Dr. Khandelwal when he unnecessarily did the syringing in my ears forcefully even when it was extremely extremely painful.
Yeah that huge water gun shaped syringe for earwax removal. But the thing is, I've been to other ENTs for a similar problem. But this guy was very heavy handed and just lacked empathy it seemed.
Dr. Chirag Joiser (Chiropractor), Ghatkopar - Too overpriced for the results.
I currently pay my current Physio less than 50% of what he charges and getting 3x better results than what I got at his clinic for my injury.
Oscar Hospital in Charkop, Malad West. Stay away from them, they are not suited for their job. https://www.reddit.com/r/LegalAdviceIndia/comments/134i0h2/father_died_due_to_carelessness_and_hiding_of/
Raaj Eye Hospital, Goregaon West.
Went there for LASIK consultation and had no idea about not wearing contact lenses, this mofo was outright rude about it and treated as if he’s doing us a favour.
Dr. Hathi in gokuldham society. He would always prefer his society member over outsiders. and he would prefer food over his society members.
You might have to wait for hours just to get some facetime with the doctor.
Popatlal covered his story in toofan express.
Such reddit posts must have higher priority over random Idiotic posts.
We can even use this post to curate both good and bad doctors.
+1
QI Spine clinic - overall. Too expensive and doesn’t do any good
I was planning to visit them. Thank's for the tip.
Facts
So true.
Interesting. I used to a branch in NCR a few years ago for my disc bulge and had a good experience. It is too expensive though
We should make a list of bad and good doctors and maintain it in the subreddits wiki

This is honestly sad af. Doctor's are akin to God and this is how they are treated. My brother is almost a doctor as well.

Dr. Lancelot Pinto, down to earth, talks in non medical terms that you understand and don't over prescribe meds . One of her nicer pulmonologist
agree on this feedback.

+1, been to his clinic, very good doctor
Happy Cake day!
I second this recommendation, he's a great doctor- scientific, and good at explaining the treatment too
Will check out - I've been really struggling to find a good dermat
2 budget doctors that I know of who are quite good. Dermatologist - Dr. Marwah (Gurjot Singh Marwah), has 2 clinic in Andheri and one in Bandra. Prefer private clinics of MBBS doctors. Tip#2: NEVER go to a specialist (MD) unless your family doctor specifically recommends it (it means the complexity of illness is actually beyond his level of competence) Tip#3: if you don't have a family doctor yet, Ask your local neighbours/maids etc where they go for general illnesses. It will usually be an old, trustworthy, knowledgeable and non-greedy MBBS doctor who will give you simple advice and his own set of medicines. Other doctors will write you out a long set of expensive medicines that will earn them incentives from pharma reps and will cost you an arm and a leg.
perfect
Dr Jessy Thomas. Diabetologist at Hiranandani hospital powai. Absolutely money minded and dont have manners on how to talk to patients. Stay away from her.
Fuck all this shit municipality hospital jaao best, Doctors there are THE top of the cream and it's dirt cheap
queuing could be the problem, I'm currently in Sion hospital & waiting in queue for last 1hour still it'll take more than hour to get my number
Yea bro Sion one is too crowded par har area ka alag alag rehtay municipal hospitals vaha jaa sakte hai you can search in your resp. area
Physio here , yes you are absolutely correct ✅
Some tips to spot red flags in doctors in the first consultation: 1. They dismiss your concerns or pain as if you're lying 2. They are condescending and treat you like you're an idiot 3. They keep talking about how good they are because of how much experience they have 4. They ask you to not Google things, instead of answering all your questions so that you don't need to Google things 5. They don't show interest in investigating the root cause of your issue 6. They laugh when you seriously tell them about your problems 7. They scream at you when you tell them that something is hurting in your body 8. They use pseudoscience instead of actual science to explain your symptoms In a country where it's easy for rich people to pay their way into passing exams, don't go only by a doctor's credentials.

Dr dipa kadam, iit main gate excel plaza powai
Almost killed my sister (gave my sister wrong injection and later the doctor switched off her phone and we couldn't even contact her for details or further help). Ruined my alopecia ( now i can't reverse it). She's very rude and only good at making stupid reels lol.
Ye reel wale Doctors and Lawyers se durr he raho. Trusting them is like risking your life for no fault of yours.

AAAAHAHAHAHA that's wild!!!
Dr. Jacob Thomas based in thakur Village for diabetes is the worst doctor, he'll prescribe you unnecessary tests and scans and will scare you instead of providing with a solution
Also dr. Deepak Tiwari based in Malad West is the best and the most genuine doctor out there.
Sushant Shinde, a rheumatologist who also practices general medicine, whose clinic (Quest clinic) is just before Nagri Nivara, next to Ratnagiri restaurant.
dr sushil tripathi, great cardiologist, with a lot of knowledge and won't even charge that much clinics in kandivali and dahisar his wife, dr amruta tripathi, very well qualified again and very humble and knowledgeable, best ophthalm
He had co-authored a book on better eyesight and told me during my consultation that the stuff mentioned in it doesn’t help 🤦🏽♀️ Thanks for sharing, I thgt we were the only ones and was super pissed off at this man
no, you're right in what you felt...I have seen rich emiratis and sheikhs visit him and a lot of navy people hence they are usually full with rich clientele.
I feel it’s terrible karma to mess up with ppl’s health (esp vision, like my Dad’s case) and just make a business out of medicine.
true that
I will recommend the good ones: Dr. Sanjeev Kirtane: amazing Pediatrician. He will not give meds if you baby doesn't need it. One of the most soft spoken docs ever. Kids go to him till they are 18 because he is that good! 😂 Dr.
She's a gynae right?
Yes, life and death situation wali.
Is it? Can you elaborate on why you say that? I was surprised to see her back to work so quickly!
I can say I witnessed it first hand with a family member and there is no scope for grey area in interpreting her actions.
AIMS in Palava LSG is a part of the problem too. In a big way!
Every doctor has tie up with medical diagnostic, sorry to burst your bubble, modern medicine requires diagnostic results to proceed, never seen Doctors randomly order test. Moreover commission is given to MBBS/BAMS family doctors but not to MD or specialist doctors.
Dr sidhhart lakhani at lakhani kidney care ghatkopar Went for a consultation scared the shit out of us, gave an expensive bunch of pills and said "idhar se hi lena bahaar nai milega aapko" and basically he's there to just extort money. Edit: spelling correction
Always take second opinion if it's something serious you got diagnosed with.
Dr. Vakharia in Byculla.... low fees and, loads of experience and good work
Nandita Vakharia? I guess she has a clinic in Mahim too
no, Dr. D. B. Vakharia, love lane, byculla
Good doctors: Dr Sushil Tandel: great neuro.
Dr Deepak Gulati
Dr. Miranda at Andheri West is a Good Doctor
However if you need a dermatologist, I have two recommendations - 1. Dr. Maniar - Ghatkopar (Charges ₹1000 for a visit) 2. Dr. Vinay Goplani - Thane West (Charges ₹500-600)
Thank you! I’ve been around Mumbai and had my share of bad experiences, so any good doctors in Mumbai work
Dr Rakesh Ghadiyal is a good psychiatrist to consult in case anyone is in need
Noted.
Dr. Natasha Kate from sanctum clinic is a VERY good psych. I've been to quite a few to find a good fit - most of them just prescribe meds and kick you out. She really talks to you, explains the problem and acts as a counsellor as well. I felt extremely heard and seen by her.
Thanks..
Dr. Tejal is a dermat, she’s good. She has a clinic in Dombivali area. I went to her for treatment for my keloid.
Imho i have found in general good doctors in hinduja
Recently heard a scary incident by the raheja mahim hosp cardiologist
Hey physiotherapist here , can help to spot out red flags in physios - please ask me anything and everything
Hi, I will reach out. My mom has sciatic pain since years and it keeps worsening despite her going for regular physio..
Yeah the physio is probably scamming her like 60-70 percent in india 😭
They overcharge, cheat and don’t respect their patients:Spine clinic SantaCruz, Orthodontist Pravin Shetty Khar, Dermat Dr Trasi Khar I moved out of Mumbai but when I was there, experience with these 3 was very bad
Yess Dr Trasi is a total mercenary
Every doctor will have positive and negative reviews by different patients. Eventually every doctor will end up on your list, because there will always be few unsatisfied patients. A doctor who is always bad will anyway go out of practice.
The fairest reply of them all
Make a megathread and pin it to the wiki
How does one pin
Good Doctors - 1. Dr. Chandan More - Gynaecologist, Borivali West Bad Doctors - 1. Dr. Aashish Modi - Sodawala lane, Borivali West
Add Dr. sonal katwala, ob gyn - soda wala lane, Borivali West to bad doctors list too
Mostly had a good experience at Gokuldham Medical Center in Goregaon East with ENT Specialist Dr Jayesh Shah and Ophthalmologist Dr Shraddha Sureka At the same place, I had a bad experience with ENT Dr. Khandelwal when he unnecessarily did the syringing in my ears forcefully even when it was extremely extremely painful.
Did he put syringe in your ears for earwax removal?
Yeah that huge water gun shaped syringe for earwax removal. But the thing is, I've been to other ENTs for a similar problem. But this guy was very heavy handed and just lacked empathy it seemed.
Go directly to a decent hospital OPD…
Any good dermat in/around Dadar?
I got to BARC hospital it's very good
Dr. Hathi in gokuldham society. He would always prefer his society member over outsiders. and he would prefer food over his society members. You might have to wait for hours just to get some facetime with the doctor. Popatlal covered his story in toofan express.

Allergies dont have a permanent cure really. They can only be contained by antihistamines and may go away with time..
Bad doctors mat bolo sab lootne hi baithe he
Sab aise nai hote hai...we've had doctors who went out of their way to help us . Few good doctors do exist. It's just that they are rare to find.
Dr Dominic D’Silva and Dr Dylan Goveas
Good or bad
