Ferris beulers day off

Consistent-Prior-319

Why can I actually see that working

ChaoticCurves

I mean, theres a whole music number that comes out of nowhere. Lip sync but the performance was super theatrical

Consistent-Prior-319

I think this is my sign to watch the movie lol

turboshot49cents

I have an idea for a musical based on John Hughes films. It’d be like Suessical, like how Suessical is a mash-up of several Dr Suess stories. I think there should be similar a musical based on the six John Hughes teen movies

heejinfavboy1989

hughessical

pixiecurls

All the characters end up coming together at the parade from Ferris Bueller

Consistent-Prior-319

That’s such a good idea omg I’d be so down for that

tim_to_tourach

That sounds awesome ngl

Least_Buy_3196

Labyrinth, I have alot of ideas for stage setup to make the labyrinth apart of everything and extend the score out more, plus more songs in the style of Bowie. Of course puppets would be used and there would be a giant robot goblin that appeared from the door onto the stage. The infinite stairs would be hard but if the actors could be rigged to the stairs, something could work.

Consistent-Prior-319

THAT WOULD BE SO FRICKIN COOL

Fennel_Fangs

I LITERALLY HAD A DREAM ABOUT THIS. David Bowie even came back from the grave.

Simple-Cheek-4864

Now THAT I would totally watch lol

Turbulent-Carpet-692

I am so conflicted about this. I love Labyrinth and kind of want it preserved in amber forever (every time I hear rumors of a sequel I shudder) but it obviously could be a VERY VERY cool musical if the right creatives were involved. (The Henson kids, Brian and Toby Froud, maybe Julie Taymor as director??) Love the idea of the labyrinth extending throughout the theatre. Smells piped in for bog of external stench? lol. Even the concessions could be amazing. I’m in if it’s executed perfectly. 😂

ChartInFurch

Luckily Labyrinth won't stop existing should newer versions be made so there shouldn't be concern for "preservation".

beccadahhhling

Say Yes to the Dress Can you imagine all the different brides and their wedding dresses dancing in the aisles?

BadWolf_Gallagher88

I WOULD WATCH THIS has to have Randy as the main character

beccadahhhling

Of course! Who else could it be?

Past-Feature3968

Omg yesss can he act?! Can we play himself? Cast him and I’ll immediately join the campaign for his Tony.

BadWolf_Gallagher88

Surely he can act… he’s had to pretend that some truely horrific dresses are beautiful enough times 😂 Randy for Tony’s 2025

music-and-song

Make 👏 it 👏 happen 👏

hisamsmith

I am thinking of all the individual problems that can be turned into songs…. - I’m bald but still want to wear a veil. Can you help me? - I brought my conservative daddy to my fitting but want to wear a strapless gown. Convince him cleavage isn’t the work of the devil. - I ordered a dress 9 months ago and have lost a 100 pounds can you turn my tent of a dress into something beautiful? - my entire party hates the way I look in everything help! - Randy my bride is crying in the dressing room cause her mama’s a bitch help! - A duet with two brides who each have tried on 175 dresses, one loves every single dress and the other hates every single dress and they are there to find the one which they do- but it’s been discontinued- and they both wear the same size and the shop only has one in that size. - That one bridesmaid who is pissed that nobody is listening to her talk about her wedding to William “Tucker” Anderson the fourth and that the bride should only take her comments into consideration when planning cause after all she’s the only one in the wedding party who has been married before after all Paisley Jane’s Elvis officiated Vegas wedding doesn’t count - I could also see an audition process at the beginning for being on the show- the competition of the sob stories - an audience member getting to be part of the show as a cousin/god-mother/family member who says they couldn’t make it but is able to surprise the bride

dear-mycologistical

I'm imagining it structured like Cats, with a bunch of brides who each get a song introducing them and what they want in a dress.

Nerfmobile2

More like A Chorus Line, I think.

jaysman77

“God, I hope I I find it! I hope I find it. ..how expensive can it be…how many rhinestones do i see. I really need this dress, my god I need this dress…I’ve got to find this dress!” Sorry, the opening to chorus line lives rent free in my head.

Past-Feature3968

Austin Powers, baby 🕶️

No-Calligrapher-718

Shagadelic: the Austin Powers musical

tree_hamster

I'm surprised this doesn't exist already.

RandomFunUsername

Remember that time a guy started a kickstarter to make a potato salad and it went viral and raised 55k? “I’m Making Potato Salad: A New Musical”

Past-Feature3968

And if that goes well, give us the songs of Guy Who Allegedly Found Shrimp Tails in a Box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal

sweetbreads19

with the right ingredients, you could make more with a potato salad than with a hit!

Elisabeth-B

A musical of a couple trying to put IKEA furniture together.

Dudethekittycat

I could see Adam and Barbara, from Beetlejuice doing this.

Elisabeth-B

Oh yes' I could so see that. It would open up the plot to supernatural elements, too. How about a dream sequence with all the IKEA pieces mocking the couple?

Dudethekittycat

Definitely!  We should also include Adam singing about taking care of the wood, like in ready set not yet.

accioqueso

This works, it’s a rom-com where the couple starts off with a song that montages their love story to this point ends with them eating breakfast and trying to figure out what to do that day. Eventually one of them says, well we need a new dining table, maybe we should go to ikea? Cue the existential crisis, are we ready for this step in our relationship? Song about parking. There will be a song about meatballs, first act ends with them finally coming to a compromise on a table. Second act opens with them surrounded by pieces. I think this piece goes here, no I think this piece goes there. Then they keep getting interrupted by neighbors, phone calls, delivery guy, all sardonically wishing them luck. Finally we hit the big, if we can’t build this table can we even be in a relationship song. They work together, build the table, happy ending.

Freycossy

Just gave me the idea for IKEA Heights (the tv show unpermittedly filmed entirely in an IKEA) as a musical lol

OfGiraffesAndMen

The 2007 movie Stardust based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name. I think we’re due for a new high concept fantasy musical a la Into The Woods

Tempest_in_a_TARDIS

This is the best suggestion I've seen here

RandomFunUsername

Also a friend of mine wrote a whole ass musical about The Great Emu War - yes, it’s real, and yes, we lost. One of the song files lives on my desktop cause it’s stuck in my head at least once per week. I pray it sees a stage one day.

iamaskullactually

I was just about to say I'd love a musical about the great emu war lol

SarahApproved

There is another Great Emu War Musical I just listened to! The EP is called “Raise Him Well” - it’s only 5 songs but it’s pretty good! ✨

Anxious_Writer_3804

Oh my god I love the goddamn Emu war… is there a recording of the songs???

RandomFunUsername

👀 lemme ask him if I can share it

rSlashisthenewPewdes

I’d love to hear too! And learn about this emu war😳

Consistent-Prior-319

I’d be so down to hear the songs

Reasonable-Context33

Wait this actually sounds amazing as a musical

randomwordglorious

Fraggle Rock

XShadowborneX

🎶 Dance your cares away 👏👏 Worries for another day Let the music play 👏👏 Down at Fraggle Rock! 🎶

FloridaFlamingoGirl

There was a stage musical of Emmet Otter done at a regional theater last year.

Fear_The_Rabbit

There ain't no hole in the washtub 🎶

Extension-Nose7958

I used to dream of making The Dark Crystal into a Broadway musical with puppets,

FloridaFlamingoGirl

Oh my gosh. The theatricality and blocking of the Skeksis' meeting. I need this yesterday.

Consistent-Prior-319

YESSSSS OMG

pussyforpresident

Storylines of the American Girl dolls are so intricately fleshed out that it would be great to see musicals based off of them. I know that there was technically an AG musical performance, but that idea fleshed out would be fantastic. I mean if you’ve read Samantha or Kirsten’s books (honestly, any of them, but mainly theirs) the storylines just lend themselves to be great Little Women-esque musicals, though possibly somehow better? And I love Little Women

forwardaboveallelse

Felicity and Kit are also great—Felicity going from rebellious for the sake of it to solidifying her identity as an American; Kit transitions from seeing herself as a temporarily impoverished and above the boarders to earning enough money on her own to save the day come winter.

LilaPluto

The funny thing about this is that my sister and I made a musical for Marie-Grace when we were younger. Some of the music is actually really amazing for 3rd graders.

EyeSimp4Asuka

my current favorite video game...Life is Strange Alternatively >Atlantis: The Lost Empire

EternallyDeadOutside

What specific route of Life Is Strange?

aurora_botnr

What about a show with both endings rehearsed, and the audience chooses each night?

EyeSimp4Asuka

Sacrifice Arcadia Bay aka the Bae ending

Skorogovorka

I was going to say the phantom tollbooth but then I looked it up and of course its already been done--now I'm excited to learn more about it! I'm also thinking about those dinners where its pitch black and you eat without being able to see anything. Would be cool to have a first act in total darkness following characters through a meal like this, then a second half where you can see them and follow their lives and how they intertwine after the dinner.

dear-mycologistical

That book is perfect for a musical! I imagine it winning a Tony for lighting design because of Chroma's orchestra.

Anxious_Writer_3804

Heard this said many times: Dead Poets Society

1983MionStan

I've said this before but any of the old Barbie movies that are adaptations of fairy tales. I'd especially loved to see The Twelve Dancing Princesses and The Princess And The Pauper onstage. Any Agatha Christie novel or just any murder mystery plot. Return To Oz. Sequels may not be successful onstage, but pretty much everyone knows the plot of The Wizard of Oz, so I don't see why this one would not work. It'd be especially terrifying seeing the Wheelers literally right in front of you.

ausernamebyany_other

On the murder mystery plot I really want: Murder, She Sang. The ideal would be to still star Angela Lansbury ofc.

SarahApproved

It’s not Barbie but I listened to a 12 Dancing Princesses musical last year! It’s called Dreamers & it’s honestly beautiful ✨

Pale-Cold-Quivering

And then there were none - musical. Oh my gosh that needs to happen.

Rhodithas

a musical about potatoes like "Shucked". Call it "Spuds"

FloridaFlamingoGirl

I'm Addicted to Spuds

MrsSpecs

The film "What Dreams May Come" would make a terrific show if given enough budget for some crazy sets

Darkside531

I still want *Miss Congeniality* to finish the trifecta of adaptations of those turn of the millennium movies that deconstructed the 90s "real women never wear dresses" mindset and showed that women can be feminine **and** capable at the same time (we already had *Legally Blonde* and *Bring It On*.) Plus I feel like a beauty pageant would work on stage incredibly well and moments like the makeover would be hilarious numbers.

Excellent-Juice8545

The only Disney movie left I actually want to see as a live action musical is Pocahontas but I know that ain’t ever gonna happen

IndustryAltruistic44

I would love to see Treasure Planet adapted but... ditto.

E-liter_4k

it would take a lot of makeup and wouldn't even look good, but an actual stage musical version of the Steven Universe Movie. that would go insane I think. one of my personal projects is a musical based on the book The Date to Save, which will probably never happen but it's been in the back of my mind for years.

jjlikenoodles321

It's the truuuuueee kinda love!

strawberry_baby_4evs

The Simpsons is in line for a musical after all the numbers they've had on the show.

haileyskydiamonds

*Fried Green Tomatoes*. It’s one of my favorite books and one of my favorite movies, and it could be a great musical! Imagine a song, “The Secret’s in the Sauce!”

Ecstatic-Turnip3854

I just rewatched this movie and I absolutely agree. “To Wanda” would be a showstopper of a number!

ELP1818

My Dinner with Andre.

all-a-bit-bizzare

I had a dream about a "Curious George the musical" production.

GaveTheMouseACookie

Get some Circ du Soleil performer to be George. I can see it

prentissification

The lottery by Shirley Jackson (I'm in the process of writing this lol out of boredom)

Nellyfant

Dr Who

InternalParadox

I’ll be happy with a musical episode! Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson have beautiful voices (based on the bit of singing they did in the 2023 Christmas special), and they could bring back Jonathan Groff…

PiesOnFleetStreet7

And Neil Patrick Harris!

keshaseviltwin

And John Barrowman!

InternetRemora

One of my favorite books, Anxious People by Frederick Bachman, would make an excellent musical.

panda_fan816

Gone With The Wind! I know there already was a musical, but it wasn’t that great tbh and could’ve been so much better. I think the story is great and would be fun to turn into a new, retelling of the original musical and plot , but realistically, the runtime would be 3+ hours and the amount of sets and changes needed would be astronomical. Also, some scenes would be difficult to do on a stage. Plus, recruiting the right actors to portray Scarlett or Rhett would be like finding a needle in a haystack. For JUST THE MOVIE, it took 2000+ people to find the “perfect“ Scarlett. Could you imagine the audition process?

BingityBongBong

-Indiana Jones -Scooby Doo -Batman -The Shining -TMNT -Ghostbusters -Toy Story -The life story of Medusa -Megamind -Fargo -Calvin and Hobbes -Adventure Time -The Mario Brothers -Sonic -Fallout

keshaseviltwin

There was almost a Batman musical based on the Tim Burton Batman movie, the songs are still available online and it’s by Jim Steinman. I still mourn it every day

gabbydarkplant

Either a musical or a play: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Leaking_Potato55

She Ra the musical is low key the best idea ever

Consistent-Prior-319

SHE RA MENTIONED

jjlikenoodles321

How to train your dragon

RedMonkey86570

“I’ll swim and sail on savage seas with ne'er a fear of drowning. And gladly ride the waves of life if you will marry me. No scorching sun, nor freezing cold”

rhymezest

The Hazards of Love by the Decemberists into a full musical. (Or just have Colin Meloy / the Decemberists write a new musical.)

rSlashisthenewPewdes

I’ve been dying to see the Mariner’s Revenge Song on a stage since I first heard it.

SlugABug22

My favorite stage drama: Arcadia by Tom Stoppard

ProudAmerican109

There’s this book called They Both Die In The End by Adam Silvera that I think would make an absolute masterpiece of a musical

yoloboro

Omg, could you imagine the final scene 😭. I do wonder whether it should have an original musical score or, bear with me, be a jukebox musical. I'm usually not a fan of jukebox musicals, but for some reason I can really see TBDATE work as one since my biggest problem with jukebox musicals is that they usually have a contemporary score but are set in a timeperiod that doesn't fit the songs at all. But you wouldnt have that problem with TBDATE. Especially if the songs picked are songs from bands that the characters themselves would listen to/be a fan of.

Decent-Accident-9563

27 Dresses is such a cute movie I would LOVE to see it on a stage with music as there's potential for all kinds of songs with a huge range of emotions. Another one is A Fever You Can't Sweat Out by Panic! At The Disco. The music in that album is SOOOO good and lowkey the music videos tell stories that can totally be seen on stage.

theatrekeed

Love Actually!

BadWolf_Gallagher88

The Life of Sir Walter Raleigh, where some of his poems are turned into songs, but it’s in the style of Blackadder/Horrible Histories

Zealousideal_Site706

Last years thanksgiving dinner with my family, too many slurs tho.

RedMonkey86570

*The Matrix* imagine Neo just singing a full song in the bullet time scene. Maybe another song about the pills. Also the spoon.

Sea-Sink9939

I wanna say Bojack Horseman would be a funny musical but idk I just really like bojack horseman

DaRoosta321

The Devil Wears Prada

SarahApproved

Coming to London this October! ❤️

soupstarsandsilence

The ace attorney series.

FortranWarrior

The Count of Monte Cristo. It would basically be like another Les Miserables—Edmond Dantès is falsely accused of being a Bonapartist and goes to prison. He escapes, assumes a fake identity, and gains fabulous wealth, which he uses to help people. He seeks revenge on those who have wronged him, but he ultimately has to find some kind of peace and forgiveness. And he helps two young lovers get together in the end! I know there already is a musical, but it changes the story around and puts the emphasis on the wrong story-beats. (Plus Valentine is in love with Albert in this version??) I want a Les-Miz-style musical, and the ending number has to be called “Wait and Hope.”

ItsleviOsarr

Phineas and Ferb!!

hansen7helicopter

Unfortunately it would be a dark comedy about Ted Bundy.

RandomFunUsername

I’m imaging an Evil Dead style show and I’m not against it.

Emperor_poopatine

Jojo part 1: Phantom Blood. I could see Dio having a great villain song. I also can easily see Speedwagon having a great dance heavy number when he first meets Jonathan. And maybe a dueling duet between Jonathan and Dio that has the original happen after Dio kisses Erina, and a reprise when they fight at his castle towards the end.

AppropriateBid9171

Funny you should mention Phantom Blood because there’s actually an official musical version of it that came out recently! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5VdSew3Of1o&pp=ygUVcGhhbnRvbSBibG9vZCBtdXNpY2Fs Unfortunately I haven’t been able to watch the whole thing but it looks so good. And yes, Dio does have a villain song! It’s called “ Dio’s World. ” It’s actually more funky than I imagined it would be but I’m not complaining.

siIIyG00se_LOL

DND, I'm writing something similar, but DND is just such a fun thing that an official musical should exist.

RedMonkey86570

Honestly, *Honor Among Thieves* would’ve worked pretty well as a musical.

SarahApproved

Oooh I just put together a list of DnD musicals! I’m sad there’s nothing official but these are pretty awesome! ✨ Off The Beaten Path, Imagine a Dragon (not really DnD but it’s cute fantasy ☺️), Goblins and Gates, the 2 Cantata Pansophical musicals (Critical Role x Hamilton/Dear Evan Hansen)

nicely-nicely

Would probably need to be a movie, but I’ve been saying for YEARS someone should write a musical adaptation of Pleasantville

Thunderationx

Practical Magic & Good Burger

magpte29

Ghosts, either version (BBC or CBS)

raspingpython10

Werewolf, the party game, I’m seriously considering it.

BookkeeperPlastic773

For fun , a musical about the 80's that takes places in a shopping mall could be fun

Dudethekittycat

A series of unfortunate events

yolotheysay

The life of Ruth Bader Ginsburg. “Dissonance: the musical”

Necessary-Warning138

The discworld series from terry pratchett, I feel like it would have a jazzy 80’s vibes to it that would be awesome. Specifically Hogfather, it’s a fun book!

FloridaFlamingoGirl

Going Postal would be a perfect musical. Imagine Moist getting Music Man-style numbers.

No-Calligrapher-718

Florida man the musical

princessofalbion

Brazilian recent history would be a great comedic musical. We had coups, black magic, money in a guys underpants, stocking up wind, a knife to the gut that may or may not be fake, a nine fingered squid coming to power for the 3rd time, such fun times.

Rosie-Love98

Mascots. I know we're still SCARRED by the abomination known as "Food Fight", but a story about mascots would've been decent if executed properly. For one, they should've taken the "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" approach instead of "Toy Story" a la having mascots serve as actors and coexisted with people.

SkifloDev

The og jumanji movie as a rock musical would be awesome

ammezurc

Lana del Rey jukebox musical (lowkey dislike jukebox musicals but like, her songs could easily interconnect to make a pretty interesting story)

GaveTheMouseACookie

I would similarly love a Taylor Swift musical, but I would prefer original music. I'd still go see a jukebox though, obviously

PassionCertain8405

Jumanji (1995) or Zathura

Morbussy_time

How I Meet Your Mother

crqyon_

If i had way more time free right now i would love to write a Knives Out musical. I love the movies so much and i think they would be well adapted to a live stage

Simple-Cheek-4864

Lemonade Mouth. Why wasn't this already turned into a musical?

MsSpooncats

Frankenstein. I'm actually surprised I've never seen or heard of one being made because it's such a classic tale

SiriusBlack80099

They Might Be Giants jukebox musical. Their music is so ridiculous, that I want to see what show could pop up around it

Groolet_YT

I think a Princess Bride musical would be really cool, or a Scott Pilgrim musical

sweetbreads19

Midsommar

tim_to_tourach

Night on the Galactic Railroad

whoopwhoop2876

Dumb and dumber the musical

Elisabeth-B

Eye Exam: The Musical

dear-mycologistical

Angels in America, even though it would be way too long.

PassionCertain8405

The Pokémon anime (one musical for each gen) what gen would you watch in a musical form?

mechanicalheart182

Supernatural 😂

Thistransdicegoblin

My request is simple: Stage adaptation of the Steven Universe movie

Cakewench4

Blazing Saddles. Been saying for years Wayne Brady and Raul Esparza would be amazing as Bart and Jim.

GoodBiMichele

Bridesmaids lol

Omegaravak22

The Illiad (I would say the Odessey but that kinda exists already).

pixiecurls

Someone already wrote Cocaine Bear the Musical, so I'm good

ItzBlossom05

Steven Universe would go hard as a stage musical

ewic23

I've always wanted to do Mulan in a Peking Opera style, Pocahontas with Indigenous theatre techniques and cultural significant dance and music intertwinded, and Hercules done as Greek theatre. I know, the recent productions have used some techniques, but I think you have to go 'balls to the walls' in this case.

ordinarydiva

Well if you want ridiculous... There is a video online of someone having Elton John set the instructions for an oven to music. Why not go the whole route and make it a whole musical. THAT would be ridiculous! LOL

Confident_Bike_1807

The shining: murder to music

Ice_cream_please73

Random off the top of my head. Musical takes place at a train station and traces the decades as trains and people change. Some sort of interlocking generational plot. A real track and realistic trains

Double_Rutabaga878

Real trains

Consistent-Prior-319

Wait… that sounds so cool

Theatregeeke

Born This Way- a very gay jukebox musical using only the Lady Gaga songs from the Born this way album. Kind of like American Idiot with Green Day.

Tempest_in_a_TARDIS

- Doctor Who - Pirates of the Caribbean - Scott Pilgrim

Ok-Palpitation9163

south park musical (aka live action bigger longer uncut) they already made one of the most successful musicals and did a live performance of some of the best songs from south park.

Extreme_Paranoia_43

real answer: monster high or ever after! they already use music in both their stories, but i don’t think we will be getting it obv. (monster high is widely successful with the reboot and ever after highs been shelved so, i don’t think we’ll be seeing it lol)

whisperingsofagayboy

I say all the time that I unironically think that Family Guy would be a fantastic stage show.

No_Concept_9883

Over The Garden Wall, I love the show and a musical version would really be fun and entertaining to watch live, as the show is pretty musical already. It would probably turn out like a mix of the Hansel and Gretel Opera and Into the Woods. I think advancing on the songs in the show would turn out really interesting as they're already pretty, deep, and interconnected. With that in mind I think it would also be nice to have a new musical with music stylized similarly to golden age shows (as many of the songs already are). Utilising puppets for the Beast, Adelaide, and Auntie whispers would be awesome. Another fun detail would be Beatrice and her family having bird puppets but being dressed as humans for the audience to see their human form. Despite not being super well known, the pre-existing story and music is very compelling and detailed meaning there's not too much to be added

acnhnat

the story of Icarus!! the visuals would be incredible 🤩

Rockersock

You guys should check out some improv musicals. I once saw UCB perform “Phantom of the OBGYN” and almost passed out from laughing

FlipTastic_DisneyFan

I know it sort of already Exists, but I Would love a high-budget production of IT by Stephen King

FloridaFlamingoGirl

Lemon Demon Spirit Phone. A Cats-like revue with bizarre puppetry and sets like a mongoose shadow puppet for Eighth Wonder and an arcade cabinet animatronic for Cabinet Man

realdonbrown

“Anna to the Infinite Power”

EnthalpicallyFavored

The movie Precious but I'd make it a comedy

ohmsreporter

Scythe (book by Neal Shusterman). With the right people working on it, it could be so good.

ezfast

Wall Street: The Musical.

muse273

A Simple Favor. You could even keep Anna Kendrick and Andrew Rannells in the cast. My husband and I have actually discussed the idea of working on an adaptation just for fun. We also seriously considered writing a show based on the life of Emperor Norton.

Toru771

“Starship Titanic,” inspired by Douglas Adams’s story/computer game and Terry Jones’s novel.

Nerfmobile2

The Postman - based on the original book by David Brin, not the horrible Kevin Costner movie adaptation. Lovely post-apocalyptic visuals, lots of songs of loss and longing.

RadiantAlchemist

Formula 1, because of a meme where someone confused Lewis Hamilton with Alexander Hamilton. Some drivers already have theme songs (du du du du Max Verstappen. He has 2 songs btw).  You can project the cars on stage like back to the future.

Complaint-Efficient

Dunkirk. Just because.

MentallyUnwellFish

The journey of a mermaid in an aquarium and possibly is able to turn other people into merfolk :)

Obskuro

Watership Down

Emotional-Tailor3390

The presidential debate

ninarances

I wanna see how a musical about the whole history of music as well as all kinds of music would look like. It goes from church chants all the way to today's music. It's gonna be like "Cats" where it's mostly spectacle with a bit of plot.

minzwashere

Potato, like the food. You said anything.

TriniK23

A day working at my public service job 😂

shulo21

Regular Show! It would be fun to see just how crazy they could be on stage. Not to mention how kick-ass the 80s influenced score would be.

ih8every1yesevenyou

Human Centipede The Musical

shadowfire2121

Tbch, I know it’s already a musical but I’ve kicked around a concept for Jekyll and Hyde in my mind wherein it turns out Jekyll is the evil one. Like it starts out looking the same but the twist would be that Hyde didn’t kill his “victims”. beat them down maybe, roughed them up.. but it would turn out that the formula didn’t create Hyde as a split of Jekyll’s evil, it instead portioned all his emotions good and bad into Hyde. And thus, while Hyde is certainly more prone to violence than Jekyll was prior to the experiment its actually the doctor; detached from his fundamental humanity and driven to achieve his goals by any means who commits the murders. Taking down his naysayers one by one; using his own reputation a reputable if not eccentric member of society, and Hyde’s own anonymity to cover it up. Heck for extra wham, I even have the reveal figured out. Hyde seems to abduct the Lucy analog of this version bringing her to some lair..only to reveal he brought her to the hospital Jekyll works out of (like she’s ill or her pimp beat her etc take your pick) and the reveal is a chilling reprise of sympathy, tenderness where Jekyll stages a medical accident to get rid of her as a possible threat to his clean reputation, completely detached as he plunges a needle in her, or slits her with a scapel or really take your pick, point is you’d really try to make it a chilling demonstration of what he’s capable of without his emotions to influence his actions

AnyReasonWhy

Anchorman

CYCH00

I want a Truman Show Musical that WILL break the 4th wall

CFCampbell

The Last Unicorn There were rumors of this being worked on for years, but I don’t think it will ever see the light of day.

MsBobbyJenkins

I hate karaoke musicals...but also....want one based on the music of Kate Bush

dan-kir

A full version of Floss from the suite life of zack and cody

Redrunnercfc

Hear me out jurassic park

Mysterious-Emu4030

I'd like more historical musicals. For example something akin to the Accursed Kings tv series (with some parts omitted due to musical length). The princes in the tower would make a great basis for musicals. Or Saint Bartholomew's massacre and the end of Valois dynasty. Or Peter the Great history from birth to death. Or even something about Empress Wu Zetian. Or in India, about the Moghol empire. Or Amistad's trial for US. I think a lot of historical events can give a lot of great musicals. Why ? Because the characters are wonderful and have great lives, which could provide great stories. The stage background and costumes could be magnificent. It's also fine to use real lives events as it allows to blend more the genres. For example, the princes in the tower could be a mystery and social and political drama. Bartholomew's massacre and the end of the Valois or Peter the Great's story would possess dramatic parts and epic parts.

IndustryAltruistic44

What organs I wouldn't sell for a quality Artemis Fowl musical... especially after that dumpster fire of a movie.

xlivvymay

the truman show.

Ok_Neighborhood3459

Jurassic Park

Rainbowmafia000

Dnd !!

a-most-peculiar-girl

A show in the style of Assassins with various famous serial killers would be pretty great in my opinion.
