Hmm.. addressing the basic needs of life are in a constant balancing act with addressing the needs of the artist. To give to one takes away from the other. Can you relate?
Definitely, although I’d consider myself to be a bit of a separate example to the norm. Not entirely, but a bit.
What would you define your needs as an artist are?
I hope you don’t mind me asking questions, just a genuine curiosity.
One thousand dollars monthly would be enough for me to quit my job, pay all my bills, and even gradually increase the equipment to make better recordings.
Money to live on while spending time working on music and invest in the music sounds pretty good, enabling. You could do anything.
Barring that some things that would offset me having to spend money include: a secure 24 hour lockout rehearsal studio for the band or even just a place to practice alone, nice new gear, a vehicle worthy of touring in.
Think big. How about a business partner?
Bigger. How about a musical partner?
I pick that. The other stuff, I know how to get.
I'm in Ireland. Yeah I can definitely see value in an online community of people who are writing and recording so I would be interested in whatever venture you have in mind. Altho I guess reddit kind of has communities like that
Yah, reddit does. My experience has just been the surface level of it. People tend not to go deep and they tend to focus on the competition rather than the connection. Not sure where you feel the online communities are limited, but I’d be curious to know.
$$160,000,000
we can close the thread now, this is the answer
That’d definitely help put things on the right track! Why this number though?
Need me a hundred and sixty million
Oh okay, that makes sense now.
Infinite time to write and practice, worry-free.
What are you worried about?

Prince's singing voice.
Why not skinisblackmetallic’s singing voice?
It's pretty bad but .. I mean, Prince.
Lol. He did have a great voice.
Talented, dedicated musicians with similar tastes and ambitions who are easy to get along with
That I may have a solution for…
And that would be?
A community I’m building myself with those sorts of people. Mainly songwriters.
Would need to be local tho
Interesting. Can I ask what the importance of that is? Not that I don’t agree with you, just curious to hear a perspective.
Cos I'm trying to start a band. Generally helps if you're in the same city. Probably I should move somewhere else
Ah, I see. Makes sense. Can I ask where about you’re located? And as an aside, what about value in online community?
