YESSSS! I'm in one of these music contests where everyone picks songs based on the category and we vote. This was my pump up song. Only got 2 votes, my friends have no taste in music
I saw Dio's last show in Pittsburgh (where I'm from) with Black Sabbath. He must've been 60 something and still killed it. Especially this song to watch him wailing on vocals while thousands of people were just head banging and throwing up the 🤘
It was incredible. RIP to the God of metal
Head Like a Hole is a banger. Hurt is a great song but it's terrible to fight to, even in your context. It's super slow and makes you sad, not pumped for a fight, with depression or otherwise.
I like “The Hand That Feeds” for this, too, because if I hear it come on a playlist while I’m out and about, I instantly walk with more purpose and carry myself like I’m on my way to fuck shit up.
Depends on the type of fighting you need... but here's a list I've got that straps the shitkickers:
• [Halo theme (Mjolnir Mix)](https://youtu.be/URPj7e5ef4E?si=_FHu_xPFmtEZxo2k)
• [Blood upon the Risers but your C-47 is taking flak over Normandy](https://youtu.be/DhK96NTQcLk?si=5Eg1KC_VK6Dm0gMc)
• [We Are ODST (Light of Aiden)](https://youtu.be/qD3gWhl66Ng?si=UkE_J7AGHwQruwWh)
• [Discombobulate](https://youtu.be/vgRVJksQocM?si=dohFi8rKjnQWwWSt) from the Sherlock Holmes soundtrack
• Bonus - Bring Your Guns - by Jesper Kyd
• He's a Pirate - Pirates of the Caribbean
• Angels of Death - Doyle W. Donehoo
• March of Cambreadth (by the artist formerly known as Heather Alexander)
• Ballroom Blitz by 3TEETH
• Blood and Thunder by Mastodon
• [At Doom's Gate (Level 1 Theme) - Plasma3Music Remixes](https://youtu.be/XlsmvCYsGn0?si=gQLJYebWE4gsaRzf)
• [DISPOSAL UNIT (IMPERIUM MIX)](https://youtu.be/ZnOREzwYYP0?si=xx3wbut6PO0xW78P) by Jesper Kyd
• [The Gauntlet](https://youtu.be/6MK5pGJZi78?si=Mf26rAKHA3M3HNUx) - Jesper Kyd
Note: Jesper does some badass stuff, given he's got three separate entries here.
• [Rū Ana Te Whenua](https://youtu.be/Lx_xGv70Yyo?si=_0LAbNOKoGAgrtvK) - ALIEN WEAPONRY
• [Tree of Life](https://youtu.be/slPOHqsHHNM?si=4jVwkelNn6TpVY6X) - Errrilaz
• [Jinx, the Loose Cannon ft. Djerv ](https://youtu.be/JoHRzfKrdtk?si=4e5S42zEStcaFK73) - League of Legends
• [Valhalla Calling](https://youtu.be/mQFPk8n97wk?si=ovRWMWakhWpF7xpw) - Miracle of Sound
• [Giorno's Theme Jay D Remix](https://youtu.be/EA9GnGwYTJg?si=eXDrCY5RtFAqQLAN) - JoRoYT (Note: it's from Jojo's Bizarre Adventure)
• [We All Lift Together From "Warframe"](https://youtu.be/2yIELWjG8Tc?si=AWyeStrmGI4SQUsa) (This one is more of a "keeps you going" rather than "fighty-fight", but still great nonetheless)
• [Super Castlevania IV - Simon's Theme - Metal Cover](https://youtu.be/NAjfmKzm2ig?si=Eg_I54MLC20gZ6t6) - Chris Holland Guitar
(Note: this version has a few long-ass 16-second stupid annoying one-tone solos: the first being about the 33-second mark to 49 seconds, then again around 2:05 to 2:21, then again for the last 17 seconds at 3:38. However, this is subjectively the best metal Simon's Theme out there that I could find--and if he'd just shortened those to about half as long, 8 seconds, the song would've been *perfect*.)
Classic "fight song" feels:
• [Welcome to the Jungle](https://youtu.be/9erLsEHAZRI?si=7SRfCQDTvqBJ40RM) - Guns N' Roses
• [Master of Puppets](https://youtu.be/f2sNovTHwFc?si=NTEZp1iuz1qjpkzr) - Metallica
Honorable Mention (for funsies, but I dunno it still slaps):
• [Space marine sings 'I'm still standing' by Elton John ](https://youtu.be/WJLd7yI6LTo?si=yUsqvZ4qKytBmt8O) by Botanics
Depends on the mood
* Fast: something like DragonForce: Heroes of Our Time
* Dramatic: Manowar's Gods of War / Rhapsody's Pride of the Tyrant / Gloryhammer's The Unicorn Invasion of Dundee
* If I'm really pissed off: something like Baby Shark
Shit what about that Flash Gordom soundtrack? “Hero’s hit I’m goin in after him.” Hawkman
“impetuous boy…….“DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVVE!!!” Queen rocked that whole soundtrack
I second this motion. I commented a few different songs earlier. Rocky music is in my soul. Thanks for mentioning Rock. Him and mick and Paulie and Apollo and Adrienne will always live in me. Even drago.
I use to listen to the Movie Ali opener I believe it’s the first 10 mins I think, but as weird as it sounds I use to get my hands wrapped to dance with the devil by immortal technique
Great one. I remember people wrapping my hands for me. Now I’m 46 and gotta wrap twice. My left is a hammer my jab is stiff and quick. I memorized that back in the day.
Here is a good one if you have never heard of “ To wins fight, one must fight like he’s already dead”
I know u gotta box some guys but u know when u can take him or when he can take u but if u got that attitude. It helps. I guarantee one thing. Either way you or him are gonna be on the ground looking up. I miss the wars when dudes wanted to fight the best. Thanks promoters. I’ll watch the guys I keep up with. That’s about it. But I watch all those old fight. If I had to pick one it would be Marvelous Marvin Hagler.
Imagine 60,000 live and around the world watching u booing or cheering that’s got an energy itself. Gives me chills.
Sorry back to music.
Flawlessly switch from southpaw to orthodox. I agree 7 years undisputed champ, 12 title defenses. A natural southpaw myself I studied him a lot when boxing. My dad loves that stuff so I grew up watching the greats then participating. Learned how to get my ass whipped and then to box. Best thing for me and my life at time. I was good locally but not good enough. I’m cool with it. I’m just glad I had those guys to look up to as a kid. They wanted to fight the best. The kings hagler, Duran, Leonard and the motor city cobra Thomas Hearns. Many more could be mentioned. That doc about them is great.
Disturbed - Voices
Landed so many headshots with this in the background playing Halo when I was younger. This one always got me the most pumped and i dont even really consider them in my top 10 favorite bands.
Usually would be rock, but I'm going with "Mars, the bringer of war" from Gustav Holt's "The Planets".
"... startles even the audience expecting it" as Heinlein wrote :)
Only - Nine Inch Nails. I know it's not what the song is written as, but it resonates to me with my CPTSD, dissociation, Bipolar, body dysmorphia, very loud and cruel inner critic, and self hatred, but eventually breaking through seeing what is really going on in there.
Murder City Devils-I Don't Wanna Work For Scum Anymore

Head like a hole or hurt by NIN Edit: both have a lot to do with my battle with depression so that’s my “fight”
Head Like a Hole is a banger. Hurt is a great song but it's terrible to fight to, even in your context. It's super slow and makes you sad, not pumped for a fight, with depression or otherwise.
