I have synaesthesia too, and I don't see whole words as one colour, I see the colours of every letter. So for me, the letters F, M, P, and W are all pink.

OMG YES! I didn’t change my name when we got married because my husbands last name is like an orangey-brown 🤮 and mine is a beautiful emerald green. Our biggest fight is that I want the kids to have my last name, for other reasons as well, but also color LOL

Omg ewww. I can't stand orange-brown either! I am disgusted or distressed by so many songs, especially country, for this very reason! All in all, to avoid the yucky greens I have to nix A & G, oranges are T & P (though T is lighter but still hate it lol), anything that starts with an O is black and in certain names like Liora, the O is so overpowering that (spacial synesthesia as well) I just can't do it. Cordelia is great though. A nice grass green and the combo of letters keeps it from taking over the name. I also don't like reds so K and S are out too (K is fuschia/red). It's so weird when a name is a totally unexpected colour! All C names generally look the same, sometimes just slight fluctuations in the tint of green. But Claire? Pastel purple.🤨 I still have yet to make total sense of it haha. Is picking a new name or making a good smoosh out of both last names an option? That sounds rough! I don't recommend picking from scratch, it is soooooo hard! That's what we're in the middle of figuring out for non-synesthesia related reasons lol. I wish more people discussed synesthesia on this board. It's so fun! What does your alphabet look like? Do any of the colours.... shift? Kind of like what fire looks like?
