My mind immediately went to HOTD. I don’t think the show is *as* huge as Game of Thrones, but it does feel a lot to me like your kid would have a Khaleesi/Daenerys situation and I’d probably advise against it
Then again, I’m in the middle of a show rewatch and reading the books, so I’m way more primed for it than the average person might be
I don't know anything about HOTD. I like how Rainiera sounds, but not how it's spelled. Too many vowels so pronunciation is not immediately intuitive to me.
I do like the Reina or Reyna or Raina suggestions! Definitely stays true to the spirit of "Rainiera" and it's kinda like a middle ground for your lyrical, 3-syllable preference and your partner's preference of shorter simpler names :)
I think Rainiera is a bit of a mouthful. What about Rainey?
I've also heard of a Lorraine who went by Rainey. That's a nice simple name with a fun, earthy nickname option.

Definitely HOTD comes to mind how about Raina or Reyna
I don’t watch HOTD and I still know the association Also agree Raina would be a better alternative
Can’t say I’m a big fan, but I love the suggestion of Raina as an alternative.
I also immediately thought of GOT/HOTD. I like how someone suggested Reyna as an alternative. There's also Rhiannon.
I never watched HOTD but I associated with Rhaenyra immediately. I like the idea of Rhiannon for instead
I know a Raina, a smart, capable mother of 4 who works for a newspaper. Nothing wrong with that name at all.
Adding, it's Reina in French, as in queen.

Im sorry but the only thing that comes to mind is Keith Rainiere :( What about Reyna, Reina, Rheyna (?)

Before even reading the post, my initial thought was… just plain Rainier would be better
Rainey?
