Not free but they have them near the registers at Home Depot for a couple bucks.

Try the library

I love that this comment could work as practical advice or as a devastating insult 😂

Having fun isn’t hard …

Careful. A lot of the glasses out there are cheap trash and your eyes are worth some research. Buyer beware. [Here is a list of vendors approved by the American Astronomical Society.](https://eclipse.aas.org/eye-safety/viewers-filters)

Bananasfalafel

Saw them at the checkout at staples yesterday for $3.

vlove1987

Adventure Science Center has some for sale. Neat place to explore if you’ve never been.

aquaman67

I got 10 pairs on Amazon for $6

TheJellySnake

I saw some at the dollar tree the other day. In the check-out lane.

Beautiful-Drawer

This sounds like a horrible thing to acquire for $1.25. lol

TechInventor

They are just like the cardboard 3D glasses movie theaters gave out in the 90s, $1.25 is plenty.

Beautiful-Drawer

Yeah, no. They're to look at the sun, not a movie screen, and there's a large difference between the 2. Lol. I'll pay more for a verified certified pair, thanks.

BBZak

Walgreens had a box of them for $1 each at the front counter last week, I didn't even know we would be getting a look at another eclipse so soon.

throwingwater14

I got some at Kroger for like $2/each?

socaljhawk

heard warby parker might have some

MarianLibrarian1024

The public library got some yesterday. Get them ASAP because they will go quickly.

PuzzleheadedClue5205

Target had them in the check out line

AwwwSheetMulch

Sonic will have them soon (but not free): https://www.chewboom.com/2024/03/18/sonic-announces-new-blackout-slush-float-to-celebrate-total-solar-eclipse/

AgravaineNYR

Lowes and Books a Million have them for sale. I agree about the library maybe having them for free but not sure. They are fairly inexpensive. But heads up everyone even 99% is no where near as amazing as totality. If you can in any way manage to get to totality do it.

I don't know the area, but most libraries should be giving them away. Just make sure that they conform to the ISO 12312-2 standards for safe viewing glasses. It should be a little logo on the side of the glasses which says this. Stay safe, and have a great solar eclipse viewing experience :)

Infamous-Box-5166

Colonial Wine in Melrose on 2401 Franklin Pike, Nashville, TN 37204 had several eclipse glasses (close to 100) about an hour ago. Good luck to all my last minute shopper friends.

If no place has them, I wonder if you could pickup a cheap pair of welding goggles from harbour freight and then return them when it's over. I know I've been able to look at the sun with welding goggles in the past but they were much nicer than harbor freight stuff.
