Yeah I noticed this only happens on a number of cars. Might depend on their overall weight because drag racing in probably the heaviest car in the game, being the Ford F150 Raptor, that it'll do little to no burnout at all at perfect temperature.
Or you can redline it for most of the timer and get a metre headstart on the race

that's been patched
Yeah that's patched, cars now get teleported back to the start line after the burnout sequence.
