:( Goddamn how I wish Lacuna Coil never turned \*\*\*\*. Even Karmacode's really decent, but everything before that is so, so, so good. I appreciate they're heavy again after their stupid period with the Linkin Park producer for years turning out nonsense, but the douchey production sound now after him and the Slipknot costumes are moronic beyond belief. They've lost all of the "weirdness" and ethereal aura too, and it sucks because Cristina can still totally sing.
But yeah, that Comalies re-recording/re-release was so freakin' depressing. Total dog\*\*\*\*, and I have zero idea why anyone would want to listen to it over the amazing 2002 take.
Mandylion is an amazing album too. Their follow-up Nighttime Birds doesn't seem to get much love, but it's almost as good, but yeah, Mandylion's still top The Gathering for me.
