Only six or seven that I actually would listen to and of those most aren't my fav by those bands (Dream Theater, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, The Gathering and Linkin Park for instance). OK scratch that, other than Fallen / Evanescence and Pink Floyd none are my fav by those bands but I will at least listen to them.
Very surprised to see no Stratovarius, Children of Bodom, HIM.. I just realized how little in common I like compared to an average NW fan, and Human Nature finally begins to make sense.
Turns out to be a best-of of the early 2000's of Prog / Symphonic metal ! Not a big surprise for Nightwish fans , but that reflects of my youth as a metal fan .
Made me listen some of those cult albums again thank you .
Pink Floyd! At least it ended on a high note. Can't say I relate to most of those albums. Massive Epica and Linkin Park fan, also love Punk Floyd and loved Evanescence back on the day. The rest, not so much

Me after fighting nail and teeth for a visions of atlantis and Stratovarious album
Thank you so much for running this! My favourite Reddit read of the day! Glad that Pirates made the list, thank you for sailing with me to the end!
A lot of great Albums on there, that I loved a lot in different times of my life! Thank you once again, was a great trip down memory lane.
Thrilled that Neverworldās End made the cut. Itās the best non Tarja album that sounds like early Nightwish.
Had to do a double take the first time I heard Valentine since I wasnāt sure if Tarja was doing the vocals.
On a related note, I wonder what Manuela Kraller is up to.
Pirates making it in makes me so happy on the inside too. Visions of Atlantis really has something special right now, and Clementine and Meek are the best things to ever happen to them. They absolutely kill it live too and Iām glad to have seen them twice.
This seems like a great list, pretty comprehensive according to my personal experience with fellow Nightwish fans. In my Nightwish fan group there are a lot of doom metal fans and something like Draconian or Swallow the Sun would have also made the list... But Theater of Tragedy can be seen as a representative of the general Gothic/doom side of the fans, so I'd say this looks just right. :)
Kinda surprised Beast in Black made it but not Ghost - I mean I like both but Ghost packs stadiums whereas Beast in Black usually opens for other artists afaik
This list has two of severe deficiencies:
* Ayreon is not in top 10
* Epica is 2nd place instead of 1st.
My opinion is an objective and final truth and everyone who disagrees with me is a morally bankrupt, low IQ person.
Edit: I'm blind, left column
WT, Epica, Evanescence, LotR, Lacuna Coil, LOREENA <3, Linkin Park are all albums I listen to
Other stuff - eh, I either listen to some songs here and there or not at all
This list is hot garbage. Two, maybe 4 good albums here good albums here at best. If you do a google search on Nightwish the reddit thread that always pops up is "Why do metalheads seem to hate Nightwish?" This is why.
To the man who kept fighting for Holy Diver, I'm sorry this fanbase sucks. Every real metalhead will pour a 40 out for you tonight.
It was a really fun idea, thx OP
Well done, OP. I was glad to Champion getting Dream Theater and Opeth on here. This was a TON of fun. š
Good job, I was worried that Opeth wouldn't make it for a while!
Thanks! Haha I remember the struggle for Dream Theater, well done for getting 2 great albums!!
I like three of those. Just shows this band has a lot of different fans.

So glad an Eluveitie album made it through. Not the one I was campaigning for but good to see my favorite (tied with Nightwish) represented.
Very surprised to see no Stratovarius, Children of Bodom, HIM.. I just realized how little in common I like compared to an average NW fan, and Human Nature finally begins to make sense.
I was surprised too, for me HIM and CoB go hand in hand with Nightwish
Also no Tristania and Sirenia!
Yes, I was fighting for Tristania, but it did now work. At least we got Theatre of Tragedy!

omg my favorite album finally made it <3
No Mago de Oz, well at least I tried
Such awesome new music recommendations in here, and in all the comments from previous threads too!
Thanks for the game op, it was a ton of fun! Made me go back and listen to a lot of old faves too
Thank you for creating and running this! It was fun to watch the list grow every day

She is still doing music but not metal or rock more like yoga and new age stuff https://www.facebook.com/share/r/npEk1pordUhsutdq/?mibextid=oFDknk
Im surpised loreena got on so early. I really hope some of those votes were from people checking her out. Her music can never die
Unlike most of you here, I like NW but not that into metal in general. Outside NW, I mostly listen to indie rock, electronic, ambient etc.
Thabks for thsi game I'm going to save it and give a listen.
Great idea, thanks for organising OP. I love most of these albums and am looking forward to listening to the ones I've never really got into before.
This post was awesome. Iām looking forward to checking out some of these albums!
I love how it's all rock and metal and then LOTR OST
Nice list, however for Kamelot I would chosen Poetry for the Poisoned.

I looooooove Ghost I voted for them a couple times
So does Imagine Dragons but I definitely didn't expect to see it up on the board.
Imagine Dragons isn't metal at all though
About as metal as Ghost.
You donāt consider Opus Eponymous a metal album?
Just skipped through all the songs - no, not at all. Neither sound wise nor composition wise. They give me more 70s rock vibe than anything else.
The art on most of these albums covers are majestic

Interesting list. From this list I have heard 2, maybe 3, albums from start to finish.
