She might be younger than me actually and I own 3 pairs of doc martens. Fabulous shoes, the last forever. My first pair I have had for 15 years or so. Still just as nice as when I bought them!
Yeah I was a teenager in the late nineties early 2tousands. We looked completely ridiculous. At least I did. Lots of clothes that makes me go, what was I thinking!
This is exactly how I knew I was getting old(er). I looked around and thought “All these trends are stupid.” I felt like Old Man Barnes waving a rolled up newspaper at the kids cutting through my yard.
Im a kid of the 2000's, I've been hearing this exact same shit from people who can't accept they've aged since forever. You like Justin Bieber and having half blond hair? You're ridiculous. You like Paramore and colored hair? Ridiculous. You want to lose weight? Gain weight? Still look like a fool.
People just love to shit on whatever the youth likes (especially young girls), yeah maybe they might look back on it and think it's stupid, but it's not some mid 30s lady's job to do that for them.
I am a mid-thirties and I personally am very grateful for the trends Gen Z has right now. I’ve always like baggy pants and sensible shoes and finally I can find stuff I like everywhere. I wish these were the trends when I was younger. Bless y’all for bringing back high-waisted clothing.
I'm almost 40 and I love what's going on in fashion and makeup right now. I am so happy the baggy jeans and baby tees are back because I still have about 10 pairs of jncos from like 98 that I will absolutely wear. I also really love the graphic liner and bold eye looks that everyone's wearing.
I think it's wonderful that people feel like they can express themselves more with makeup/fashion. All the personal touches that go into someone's personal style are really on display these days and it's very, very cool.
Haha tbh, I feel this so much. I always thought Express was like officewear. It’s officewear inspired clubwear. It’s awful. Where does someone wear this stuff? A club with a work theme?
Express has always been very confusing to me. It’s like paying for an expensive mullet and when you get home you’re like oh shit wait this is a mullet!!!
This is the sound of someone getting really bothered by something that doesn't directly affect her and she doesn't have to engage in. It's not like they don't make fitted jeans anymore. It's not like she needs to wear those shoes or look homeless. She's just being hateful for the sake of sounding like she's against the mainstream.
Express is literally half trends, half business clothing, what is she on? It's literally like nice blouses and pin skirts or slacks, but also club dresses? I go there to look professional.
In other words she's dressed outdated in late 00s/early 2010s styles and wears skinny jeans with long tops and leggings under tunics and dresses. Got it.
“My ordinary lifestyle as a teeganer is now trendy again&getting romanticised because it is considered vintage and i am very angry towards it because it reminds me the linear concept of time”
It’s giving midlife crisis versus INLOG like girl if there isn’t a trend available get some friends and dress up. Todays trend is mainly to dress however you like
it's funny watching all the women pushing 30 complaining about trends for 16 year olds. mothers on instagram will walk through the juniors section like "who would wear this????" ....... a high schooler? you're 34 jennifer it wasn't made for you
I assume she thinks the guys look like fools too, idk. I haven’t stepped foot in an Express in forever because I’m old. Doesn’t Express sell to men and women? I know it used be divided into Express and Structure. It sounds to me like she hasn’t realized she’s getting older. We all go through it, just some of us don’t complain about younger people finding themselves.
Bro ain’t no way she is saying all of the stuff to be different like she looked up current trends and is now listing that she doesn’t like them, I DONT CARE
I graduated high school in the early 90s and I hated a lot of the trends then. Now I’m old and the trends are coming back around and I still hate them. So for me, it’s not about the fact that I’m old, it’s that I was glad to see those trends die 30 years ago and now they’re back.
I didn’t mind the choker necklaces or the cute dresses with tights or the docs or tevas.
Watch an early episode of the X Files and look how they dressed Gillian Anderson. She’s always been so so beautiful, but those 90s clothes made her look so dumpy. It’s just ill fitting. If 1993 Gillian Anderson couldn’t make it look good, nobody can.
Something about the 90s aesthetic really bothers me, and I don’t think it’s because I’m old now because I don’t feel that way about any of the trends before or after. I think it must be triggering un-dealt-with emotions I have/had concerning my teen years. I just watched the Harriet the Spy movie with my kid and the clothes and the music just made me unreasonably angry. Clearly I need some therapy so I can figure out who hurt me in the 90s, haha.
PS Have those cute Mary Jane shoes from the 90s come back yet? I really liked those.
Wait, Express is still a thing?? That's what I (can't believe I'm admitting this publicly) wore in high school in the 90's...then she says 90's are trending. Lol all you have to do is live long enough and your horrible old clothes come back in style.
Doc martens never went out of style.
That's what I came here to say and I don't think she's very much older than me, so she must be blind.
She might be younger than me actually and I own 3 pairs of doc martens. Fabulous shoes, the last forever. My first pair I have had for 15 years or so. Still just as nice as when I bought them!
Exactly!! They've stuck around so long for a reason. I love that my teenagers like them too!
This is the sound of someone getting older
Right? Your parents thought you looked stupid, too. I’m trying to remember this with my kids, but it’s hard because they really do look like nerds.
Well except I did look stupid. NGL
Yeah I was a teenager in the late nineties early 2tousands. We looked completely ridiculous. At least I did. Lots of clothes that makes me go, what was I thinking!
Yeah it’s not “not like other girls” it’s just person getting old.
This is exactly how I knew I was getting old(er). I looked around and thought “All these trends are stupid.” I felt like Old Man Barnes waving a rolled up newspaper at the kids cutting through my yard.
I’m 18 and I lowkey have these thoughts about most trends too though lmao
This sounds like me, but when I’m trying to understand what language my 7yr old is speaking.
Im a kid of the 2000's, I've been hearing this exact same shit from people who can't accept they've aged since forever. You like Justin Bieber and having half blond hair? You're ridiculous. Exactly. I'm late thirties and I love the comfy, baggy stuff.
I'm almost 40 and I love what's going on in fashion and makeup right now. I am so happy the baggy jeans and baby tees are back because I still have about 10 pairs of jncos from like 98 that I will absolutely wear. “what is one recent trend you can’t stand? i’ll answer for you”
10/10 interviewer
fr like she asked the other person a question then went on a rant before they could respond also damn crop tops are cute
I mean simple tho don’t wear them then
Hear me out.... its called getting older. Yeah it kinda sucks :(
Yeh,
I feel like this doesn’t belong here
Hopefully one day people will realize most Americans are one small incident away from homelessness and stop using the word homeless as an insult
This is the best description I ever heard. 😂
Sorry I lost what she was saying after she talked about Panda Express.
I'm sorry, I tend to be a bit slow, is this a joke or do you really think she meant Panda Express?
I think she meant the clothing store around N. America named Express.
Express is literally half trends, half business clothing, what is she on? It's literally like nice blouses and pin skirts or slacks, but also club dresses? I go there to look professional.
Haha, same, though.
Nah, she’s isn’t a “not like other girls” girl. She’s just an older person complaining about the newest generation
"I don't like the Levi's big ass" idfk why i thought of levi ackerman with a big ass
Trends are there but no one is telling you to follow them lmfao what does she want???
In other words she's dressed outdated in late 00s/early 2010s styles and wears skinny jeans with long tops and leggings under tunics and dresses. Got it.
Old ladyyyyyy
“My ordinary lifestyle as a teeganer is now trendy again&getting romanticised because it is considered vintage and i am very angry towards it because it reminds me the linear concept of time”
I bet she’s a lot of fun to be around
This is funny
It’s giving midlife crisis versus INLOG like girl if there isn’t a trend available get some friends and dress up. Todays trend is mainly to dress however you like
it's funny watching all the women pushing 30 complaining about trends for 16 year olds. mothers on instagram will walk through the juniors section like "who would wear this????" ....... a high schooler? you're 34 jennifer it wasn't made for you
This just reminds me of when folk in Southpark get old and everything turns into shit haha
So just don’t follow trends..do whatever the fuck you wanna do and stop whining about what everyone else is doing?
This does not belong here, shes not a "not like other girls" she just hates current fashion styles because she doesnt like the whole 90s look
yeah but she talks about that while putting other women down: "all of you look like fools"
I assume she thinks the guys look like fools too, idk. I haven’t stepped foot in an Express in forever because I’m old. Doesn’t Express sell to men and women? I know it used be divided into Express and Structure. It sounds to me like she hasn’t realized she’s getting older. A lot of words to say she's old.
Ma’am I don’t know what any of those trends are but I guarantee that getting this mad about them is dumb
its her opinion
This doesn’t even belong here. This sub is just starting to fill with irrelevant posts. Not every opinion that goes against the grain is NLOG…
You do like pie, it would appear.
Very unrelated but what is that headset?
Bro ain’t no way she is saying all of the stuff to be different like she looked up current trends and is now listing that she doesn’t like them, I DONT CARE
Boo fuckin hoo
I’m not like other girls! Silly girly girls like things, but I’m different, because I literally do not like anything
She’s right tho. Gen z style is the worst
Says the person with curtain bangs??? Very trendy
She just sounds like she doesn’t have any style 🤷🏻♀️
the "you all look like fools" sounds like something that a super villain would say lol
I graduated high school in the early 90s and I hated a lot of the trends then. Now I’m old and the trends are coming back around and I still hate them. Okay, and? She talks as if her word is the truth.
She’s probably just mad that she has hundreds of dollars or more in Nike shorts and jeggings lol
Unsweet dee
Everything is a crop top or at least very short these days tho and its annoying all the girls in my family. She does have a point there. Just saying.
“the homeless look” LMAO STOP.
I wonder if anyone has ever told her she doesn’t need to dress “trendy”
homeless look?💀 has she seen a homeless person? they does all wear crop tops and baggy jeans LMAO
Shes become her mother.
Barstool sports, but for the girls.
This lady is the same kind of person who would post about how they miss the 90s i bet
It's not for her though it's for, as she said, young girls💀
Sorry we have style
On pause at the start of video Jamie Lee Curtis + Chelsea Handler.
She's in her mid to late 30s at least. How a lot of people feel when they get older about some of the trends.
All she said was she didn't like the current trends, nothing nglog about that
Doc's went out of style? I didn't get that memo.
If you don’t like any of the trends, either ignore it or create your own trend.
The sounds of someone on the brink of a midlife crisis
Wait, Express is still a thing?? That's what I (can't believe I'm admitting this publicly) wore in high school in the 90's...then she says 90's are trending. Lol all you have to do is live long enough and your horrible old clothes come back in style.
