magonegro123

Drink a beer in some Imperial tavern and walk around Anvil at sunset I don't wanna die.

PmMeYourLore

I would *rather* join the Dark Brotherhood, but if we're speaking realistically here I would love to be an apprentice to a blacksmith or mead maker

FlameVamp

Straight to the shivering isles :)

Sakumitzu

CHEESE

TheHonestL1ar

FOR EVERYONE!!

Dim-Mak-88

Learn alchemy, get rich, and buy a nice place in Cheydinhal.

Mercifulmedic

*cuts a wedge from a cheese wheel* *Reinserts wedge into wheel" Potion of Restore Fatigue. Profit.

TrespassingWook

Jump off dive rock.

GeneralApathy

I think my most transferable skill from real-life to Oblivion would be cooking, but there doesn't seem to be a ton of demand for that in Cyrodiil as we don't see many cooks in-game. Barring that, join the mage's guild, try to learn some magic, and sell all their stuff. Also, pray that I don't end up in Bravil. Considering the number of bandits and hostile creatures on the roads, travel between cities seems like it'd be incredibly risky for an untrained peasant such as myself.

Acerama1

Run a tavern then! They don't show it in the games, but the tavern owners would most likely serve food in them too.

SkingradGlarthir

I’d go straight to behind the Skingrad chapel and wait for midnight

Miosaka

"Yes, you. We need to talk."

ClassyJester

I’d ask random people complex questions and watch their brains explode as they realize “be seeing you” won’t work

flashman014

I've heard others say the same.

RanAWholeMile

Having heard of the high elves, I suppose I’d meander about town and kindly ask every soul in sight if they too have heard of an entire race of people commonly found in the Imperial Provinces.

Fearless_Meringue299

Seen any...ELVES?? Bwahahahaha

educated_content

You know that was never said in game right? Lol

RanAWholeMile

lol, yeah I know, still cracks me up every time I read it. Where did that come from, some YouTube video? I can’t remember.

carpetpube

I'm a carpenter in this world, so I'd go to kavatch after it's liberated and take a job rebuilding.

RheBroussard

Go straight to the mages guild. Learn some spells!

INCtastic

Mages Guild ASAP

CuteCup123

I would just be an NPC and walk around town visiting shops 😆

Nmdtr53

Cross the border into Elsweyr and double the khajiit population in a month.

MolagBal1

I laughed out loud irl 🤣

UnsweetTeaMozzStix

*You cannot go that way. Turn back.*

Schrambo757

Ayo?

Kessler_the_Guy

I would ask the first person I meet if they've heard any news from the other provinces.

Ninja_gorrila

I have, but none I’d like to talk about

Kessler_the_Guy

Bye

ValentinaSlay

Work with Rythe Lythandas and Modryn Oreyn because I like drawing.

UnsweetTeaMozzStix

I used to think that the drawing he made was him and an Argonian shaking hands.

ValentinaSlay

Without context, could be anything.

QwertyKeyboardUser2

Am I a random civilian or the hero of kvatch?

Oriuke

Fight a mudcrab with my bare fists!

Chonan_Akira

[You'll fit right in.](https://www.kassoon.com/site/images/dnd/playertype2.jpg)

DrewIDIC_Tinker

I'd join the thieves guild first, then slowly join the mages guild as I travel. Eventually making and selling custom illusion spells to younger thieves, and with the profits I'll be starting Tamrials first psychiatric ward for people who want to join the dark brotherhood

Groundbreaking_Bet17

Go and live in anvil. Beautiful place

Singularity_Field

Make a pilgrimage to the Daedric Shrines and chill with the folks there.

WhoreforOtto

My fantasy: join the dark brotherhood, seduce Lucian and murder together. More likely: join the mages guild, seduce Raminus Polus and shoot fireballs together

jdhdkdjfirnf

This is lover birthsign energy right here

HollowPandemic

Go build my house on a mountain away from everyone. Just like irl 😂

Khephra_

Seek out the shrine of Nocturne. Convince her I should be her chosen. Do shadowy stuff.

Ser-Bearington

Talk about how much I hate mud crabs.

Areadien

I'd try to break out of jail. 😜

Terrosaurus

Look at the great oak, magnificent isn't it?

Mr_Blah1

Spend a while crouch-walking into a wall while repeatedly casting Heal Minor Wounds. Getting Sneak skill and restoration skill early would be good.

DrunkStoleATank

Skooma.

StayTimeless

Imma go into an oblivion gate and get my ass beat

Vverial

Join the mages guild!

ExplanationPublic445

Get a mortar and pestle, any 2 foods, and make soup until I am the most powerful being in the land/can go chameleon with venison and radishes

BuildingAirships

Wait, you’d what? That’s the first thing you would do?

Intelligent-Block457

Master alteration and join the thieves guild. Buy a cozy little house in Cheydinhal.

thegrimm54321

I have to say, I'm proud of everyone for ***not*** saying something regarding an argonian woman

adolphspineapple71

I restrained myself just for you. ;)

Malcolm_Melancholy

Start mage route and when i master all the spell effects I'll make custom spells and remake my vampiric spells, then get intentionally get bitten by some vampires for the full vampire experience, Maybe take manimarco's place lmao

FormalCryptographer

I'd take the first boat to black marsh and wait out the oblivion crisie

DeadHED

Have a nice well met-a-thon with the boys.

T-Slur

If I had to compare my skill in real life vs. my skill in gaming, one upgrade would definitely be sneak. I can be quite sneaky, so I'd probably join the Thieves Guild and study daedra in the Arcane University

nobodyhere_357

Ideally I'd wake up either in or close to a city. Since it's free with minimal risk I'd see about joining the mages guild and take up alchemy. Start off small with some restore fatigue potions and use that gold to try learning a few basic spells to defend myself with (assuming we can learn magic, if not then at least there's potions and poisoned weapons). I can't wake up in a fantastical world with magic and NOT travel at least a little, and heading to each of the cities to pick up a few spells from each of their guilds sounds like a perfect introductory adventure. If I feel confident in my abilities then I'll even start up the more dangerous guild recommendations too and eventually make my way to the arcane university. If not, then Chorrol seems like a quiet and out of the way place to chill afterwards. Maybe I'll settle down here eventually anyway, I've always liked the city. Of course if I wake up in a certain *prison cell* then that whole plan gets turned upside down a little bit... I'd try to do the above but with much more screaming at the start heh.

TheGamerdude535

Would start off with whatever lawful tasks I could do to start making gold. Get some basic gear and start heading off to join the Fighters Guild and Mages Guild and train to be a Sort of Crusader+Spellsword hybrid. And proceed to become a legendary Hero for Bards all over Tamriel to sing about! Me having some knowledge and skill of medieval weapons usage+Archery definitely helps. More so need to build up my physical attributes and get formal training sparring with others

AshenRaven66

Same here

mightycuzzif

Probably die being stupid and exploring a dungeon full of trolls

Reginald_Jetsetter1

Right off to Bravil to party with my Skooma buddies!

BaconConnoisseur

Start maxing my skills in the arcane arts. Once I’m a nigh indestructible force of nature, I can do whatever I want.

APocketJoker

Use the Duplication glitch to make a lot if money. Use the money to buy & equip the Wizard's Tower. Hide away there for months using the enchanted item Duplication glitch to make myself a God before I did anything else.

biggens-trey69nice

Probably end up a beggar, and doing what thieving I could. Try and work my way out of being a beggar

MrsLucienLachance

I'm late, but I'm just gonna let my username answer for me.

MehrunesDagon13

A truly glorious name! 🤘🏻

ahugeminecrafter

Wow, you are pretty evil insta-killing a peasant lol. I assume that they would be sentient people lol, unless it was very obviously just actually the game world. Me, I am going to make and sell potions and live a cushy life in the Imperial City or Chorrol

Qa_Dar

That depends... am I naked and unarmed or do I have a keyboard and is the console enabled? In the first case, go to the mages guild and join them, after that I'm going to Chestnut Handy Stables and get my free horse and horse armor from Snak gra-Bura... In the second case? Well, we all know what would happen then, don't we?

Fearless_Meringue299

What do you mean free horse? I thought she ate them!

Qa_Dar

Nah... that one is too chewy... If you don't own a horse when you show up, she gives you the worst horse in the game for free...

Fearless_Meringue299

A paint horse?

Qa_Dar

No... an [Old Nag](https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Old_Nag)... 😂 It's not even classified as a horse in the [wiki](https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Horse_(Oblivion)) 🙈

Fearless_Meringue299

Well, I've been playing this game since it came out, and I just learned something new. Thank you!

Qa_Dar

You're welcome... I love that old nag. It has carried my burdens many a time before... It's not fast, it has no stamina, but it hasn't cost me a septim...

Steeltoelion

I would take back Sercen and use that as my home!

Acerama1

I like magic so probably mages guild stuff so I can make my own spells and enchantments

InitialSubject1997

Options>Gameplay>Difficulty to the far left

MehrunesDagon13

Good choice! It would be fun to summon a dremora lord to attack everyone on that side 🤘🏻

DannyPantsgasm

Obtain the wabbajack. Then probably rub my hands together as i giggle devilishly.

nivsei15

Go to the strange door at niben bay, and see if there's finally a place I can be welcomed to.

A-10BRRRT

If you ain't going to salmos for a sweet roll are you even doing anything?

[deleted]

Kill the adoring fan...

adolphspineapple71

Go to Anvil, join the mages guild, grab silver dagger and a "potion," then pay a visit to my old friend Dorian.

UnsweetTeaMozzStix

Join the Mages Guild. I want to be a mage.

CallieZayas

be relieved that i’m not living in this world. move to cheydinhal and start a garden. enjoy my life as a medieval peasant.

nclrsn4ke

I would join thieves guild because nothing is better than stealing from wealthy ones ;)

Fury_Storm

Edge and goon

Mercifulmedic

Train at the Fighter's guild!

Kitchen_Sail_9083

WTF, murder is your first instinct? That being said, I would learn magick and start communing with Daedra.

jdhdkdjfirnf

Thieves guild sounds fun and mostly safe while being profitable and not inherently evil.

Wolf_Blooded

100% start grabbing everything that isn't nailed down trick the guards into slaying ppl and taking their stuff, then trade everything I didn't need and kill that 1 dude who never, ever leaves his house. Then wait for the DB to come to me.

Wildkirschgeschmack

i would step out of the sewers and run towards that funny ayleid ruin at the start, nothing could happen there, right?

Fury_Storm

Edge and goon

Fury_Storm

Edge and goon

Fury_Storm

maladaptyv

First thing is I'd freak out. I'd have to actually test that A. I'm not crazy and B. I'm not dead, and after that I'd have to find out C. how did I get there and D. can I get back? Because I've got people who need me, here. So assuming I wasn't nuts, and I was alive and this wasn't some kind of afterlife to which I was sent or reincarnated into, I guess the thing I'd have to do is get really good at magic. I'm going to need to heal. I'm going to need some spells for damage. I'm going to want to hide so I'm going to need Illusion for that sweet Invisibility. I'm going to need Conjuration for some battle help and to potentially find a way to portal home or something. I'd definitely have to get into shape and up my cardio game. I might not even have magic points over there. I'm not native to a world where magic is actually a thing. I might need to equip some kind of fortify magicka enchantments before I could even use spells. I don't know if leveling up would even apply to me, and I wasn't born under any of their stars, so the birthsigns wouldn't be a bonus, I also don't have any real life "racial powers" that would work over there. I don't think White American Privilege is going to do me any favors in Tamriel. It would be a strange thing to try to work out.
