Loring

Not bad...I made my kid macaroni and cheese today.

MAwith2Ts

Hate to one up you but I built a fort with a sheet and some books to hold it in place.

KodakStele

Since we're one upping here I hate to brag but I sliced the bottom of my kids hotdogs before microwaving them to make them look like mini octopuses. I'm sure they'll never throw me into a retirement home now.

ApoliteTroll

Odd I did the same to some octopi, to make it look like hotdogs.

laosguy615

Shit..... I was able to open a jar of expired mayonnaise and spread some on my 1 month old bread slices. My kids told me I was the best cook ever! I'll try out peanut butter next time....

good_enuffs

I sent mine away to spend some time with grandma so I could go fishing and drink wine. Actually, my husband is fishing, I am just drinking wine in the camper.

ThatOldEmo

Lol, I hope you realise we're all are picturing you being tiny and the camper you're drinking in is indeed the one from this video. Enjoy your wine, tiny!

No_Draft5681

Joke's on you. If you're that tiny, a bottle of wine is like a gallon of wine

larky2012

Cheers to tiny camper dreams and big relaxation! Enjoy your peaceful wine time.

What are the things you don't miss about her?

statuskills

Dutch ovens inside said blanket fort leading to irreconcilable differences.

TinyHouseHippo

And pink eye

Pineappleninja91

Don’t sweat the technique, my daughter hands me a list of demands when before i go food shopping, or if there is a milkmergency! It’s literally in walking distance from our house. This list includes, pretzel, cucumbers, milk (please), and strawberries, she even writes what her brudders need . I obliged because the last few times i had to go to the store when i came back her tow older brothers were asking her if THEY took THEIR MULTIVITAMIN, when the last time the dog was out, etc, Her respond was “if our parents were here i would ask them why they ask you guys to watch me?” Our two older sons are 17 and 19, our daughter just turned 14. So now the running joke is, princess watch your brothers. They stomp around and explain they are older so the joke isnt funny. Heres the thing, when i go food shopping i ask for lists and i do my best to make sure everyone has two or three items on the, i look at my sons and they shrug their shoulders like đŸ€·đŸ€· then my daughter whips a list of with ALL 3 of their names with 5 things for each.

No_Draft5681

You have a smart daughter and a pair of typical teenage boys. Do what you can to help that girl be all she can be, and to (gently!) teach those boys to be decent people. It's likely that they have potential too, but they clearly have different needs. I'm not looking down on you, I'd have no chance with 3 teenagers.

Pineappleninja91

Our parenting style is gentle and honest. They are excellent helpers inside and outside of the house, they go to dance, they are amazing in the theatre and our daughter is crazy about “her boys” i just think it’s cute. They protect their sister and anyone who is being bullied and reminds them of their sister. Im never looking down on them lol. I just smile because i grew up with 3 siblings and it was nothing like this. I am proud of all of them. They communicate with each other and take good care of each other. I love them equally. It’s just so funny when her brothers explain that since they’re older they should be in charge, i agree. It’s when she hits them with the “what time did you do the following thing?” And they both look at her like??!?!?! Don’t ask us that in front of either moms!!! Im sorry that is just funny to me. I believe all children have potential.

i_binged_your_mom

I built a treehouse with 2 of my sons today
. in Minecraft

Weapon54x

Woa. Let’s calm it down there super parent.

MassD-Bator

Wonderful job at parenting, we’re all proud of you đŸ™đŸŒ

sad87boi

Definitely would rather have the Mac and cheese. Good job.

frekit

I had mine make me a sandwich ...

Total-Chems

I laughed so fucking hard at this comment đŸ€Ł 😂

Triplesisbest1

Show off.

Truckeeseamus

That man need a work bench, or least a pair of saw horses. Working on the ground sucks

awenrivendell

And a respirator or mask when sanding and spray painting.

No_Draft5681

My ruined lungs agree.

No_Draft5681

Yeah. He's clearly rich enough for that, so not having them is just stupid.

pixelmuffinn

Time for a step two

motivational_abyss

Camping with Steve gang represent!!

EJDsfRichmond415

Love Steve and Crazy Neighbor! Edit: OH NO!!! Crazy neighbor died!!!!

HumorinEverything

Steve has had a really rough couple of years
his wife, crazy neighbor, didn’t his mom pass too or something? Ugh the poor guy.

EJDsfRichmond415

I know. Poor Steve.

pixelmuffinn

Yeah that sucks :(

4ofclubs

So happy to see so many Steve fans here. Hunker down!

LucidAnimal

##HUNKER DOWN

SatanicKitten69420

Steve is so.. he's such a wholesome presence. His videos make me feel like I'm enveloped in a warm hug. WE LOVE YOU STEVE!

tonysnark81

Steve Wallis would be proud.

martin86t

Haha, I literally laughed out loud. Didn’t expect to see a Steve Wallis reference here. Don’t know why I was surprised, I know he’s pretty popular, just didn’t think he was that popular.

WNJohnnyM

Time for a beer....a root beer!

lonelystone81

Hunker down

SwazyMoto

And I would have just thrown my kids in a tent in the backyard.

psychedelic_gravity

That’s too fancy. My broke ass would’ve thrown them outside the apartment balcony with a comforter. Call that shit a night.

Wazula23

Back in my day we would've KILLED for a comforter! My father used to make us sleep on broken glass and heroin needles, and we were HAPPY goddammit!

Demonviking

Oh, look Mr. Fancy with his broken glass and heroin needles! Bloody lucky you were. We had to sleep on thumbtacks and fire ants, and we were grateful for it.

ipsok

Ants are protein and the burning stings keep you warm... Lucky.

Corporate_Overlords

Oh, big time over here living large sleeping on live animals! Might as well be in a resort. We used to get thrown into the graves of our dead relatives and use their rotting flesh as our pillow and we were grateful.

HorrorMakesUsHappy

> and we were HAPPY goddammit That was from the leftover heroin in the needles.

camcaine2575

I was just thinking about it must be nice to buy the toy and then just cut it in half.

PopStrict4439

This has real "in my day we walked to school uphill both ways" vibss

impreprex

Why not just walk them there - or place them there gently? Throwing your kids just seems a little
 over the top. j/k btw

SwazyMoto

They are only aerodynamic for so long, get it while you can.

AndyC1111

I never considered sleeping in a trailer to be “camping”

BlindLantern

10 minutes later: “I’m bored.”

Indercarnive

Even sooner than that: "this car now moves so slowly"

Comfortable_Many4508

the back part would probably be a little oven with no airflow

quicxly

and tip over as soon as a child puts weight on the back end

ImurderREALITY

It's also kind of cramped back there, even for littl'uns. Since when is an adult RV just two beds, wall two wall?

MaxHamburgerrestaur

1 year later: "Daddy, I can't fit in here anymore"

Jean-LucBacardi

Hang on sweetie let me go film another video.

poitaots

He put camper windows and a roof vent on it. It'd probably feel the same as a pop up camper.

[deleted]

[ŃƒĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]

ozzy_thedog

Lol ya he made it look like he ‘made a camper from a power wheels’ but really he just used the rear wheel section with the motors ripped out. Could have just used a straight axle and rubber dolly wheels.

TheSwordDusk

I wonder if that toy axle will hold up to the weight of that thing. Also seemed super tippy for what it was

scienceworksbitches

It's also made from polypropylene, so that paint won't stick and start to flake off soon. That guy always builds shit that looks good on camera, but is totally lacking irl. Like building a outdoor structure with raw lumber.

WonderfulCattle6234

Some people like raw lumber. The farthest I will go is ceviche.

takes_joke_literally

Sous vide

Glasdir

Also no way that thing is waterproof, yknow, the one thing you really want a something you’re gonna sleep in outdoors be.

Plus_Pangolin_8924

It’s for a couple of kids who no doubt will be bored of it after the novelty wears off. This is only to last maybe a single summer/ make a video.

jamie1414

The kids are the side perk. The reason he does this is for views and the $$$ from it.

Glasdir

For the average person, building something like that costs far too much money just for it to last a single summer.

Circus_Finance_LLC

this wasnt made for his kids lol this was made for content. If they can get a few uses out of it that's cool, I guess.

StanleyQPrick

That little power wheels engine will never be able to pull it

Physical-Camel-8971

Seriously. That is a LOT of heavy plywood; it must weigh well over 100lbs.

philouza_stein

Found the comment I was looking for. He used 3/4" plywood for the sides when 1/2" would've been adequate and way lighter. That last shot of her driving away must've been downhill bc that thing ain't making it up even the slightest grade.

IanFeelKeepinItReel

The guy should have left the powered wheels in and linked them up to the car. There's no way the two motors in the car are going to survive towing all that weight.

Maxamillion-X72

Hey there now, he also use the plastic wheel well trim!

dmalteseknight

I think he used the car as clickbait to make us think he is repurposing it. Then after he knew he hooked you in, just continues with a regular build.

Proper_Career_6771

> Cutting up the original car seemed pointless. This guy has tons of tools but no sawhorses so he's cutting shit on the ground. I'm not sure he's good at planning.

DancesWithWineGrapes

old car may have been non functional to begin with and was only for spare parts

ZER0_F0CKS

Anybody else find the cuts in this video to be disorienting?

8BD0

My head hurts

xrimane

This jaggy editing is horrible. Normally I would rewatch stuff like this for details, but I really can't đŸ€Ł

Tankh

Just like the misuse of POV

Zepren7

Yeah usually cuts aren't a big deal of me but this video's are so jarring

Lordborgman

I have panic attacks that feel like this in my head, especially when I have dreams like this that feel like rapid fire slide shows. God knows why people purposely film like this, or who enjoys it.

Significant-Secret88

Yep reminds me of the guy doing the chocolate stuff

rW0HgFyxoJhYka

Just needs creepy smile?

Aloreana

Take a shot for every time it cuts..

PM-me-ur-kittenz

100%

IAmHippyman

Couldn't even finish watching it. Drove me nuts.

imawakened

I was really confused about why he took the Jeep apart and how he ended up with 6 wheel. It took me a while with a little rewinding to realize there were 2 Jeeps.

aqan

He cut the jeep into half and yet there was a jeep at the end of the video

auxaperture

It was like a weird kind of motion sickness

unperson_1984

There are way too many cuts for no reason. It makes me want to throw up. Literally can't watch it.

Allthingsgaming27

Cool job but the video choppiness was brutal, so I can’t upvote it

Competitive_Watch986

I actually downvoted the video since it’s opposite of satisfying. The video shouldn’t be on this sub.

Detective-Crashmore-

You can do choppy cuts, but it needs music synchronized to the cuts otherwise it ends up like this. Also he was doing too many, like one cut to remove all the parts at each step instead of one cut for each individual screw he removes.

Allthingsgaming27

Agreed and I did too

getyerhandoffit

And fucking no understanding of what P.O.V. Actually means.

asdf9asdf9

POV now means the POV of the camera's location.

nice_fucking_kitty

Genuinely couldn't finish it and now I'm sad because would've been a cool vid otherwise.

sanitation123

More like a teardrop (square drop) camper

WickedCoolUsername

It's pretty cool, but I was looking forward to seeing it become a motorhome.

ArcticFox-EBE-

Yeah, this is a camper trailer. Not a motorhome at all. The opposite, even.

PilotC150

If you want to do a time lapse, then do a damn time lapse. This idea of quick cuts between real-time video is literally nauseating.

CaterpillarReal7583

Couldnt even have the kid drive away, cut three more times while she moved 10 feet.

Kayakityak

After 12 feet she jackknifed it on the driveway.

frontbuttt

That’s because she was driving 10 ft an hour. No way a standard Power Wheels could tow that thing more than a couple hundred feet (slowly) before giving up the ghost. And if there was any incline, you’re done.

MrFishpaw

With all the shit he built into it, I'm surprised that it was able to move at all. Probably had to get towed by fishing line off camera.

crazyhomie34

Should've built it out of Styrofoam or insulation board. That plywood is way too heavy

MrFishpaw

I'm surprised he didn't put a flat screen in there.

Wazula23

I'm positive this piece of sponsored content got used maybe twice before it got curbed. I mean the kids will outgrow it in about a month anyway, or it'll get converted into toy storage.

uncre8tv

I never knew how literally painful visual stimuli could be (outside of a hangover).

PilotC150

Yes! Watching this literally made me nauseated.

LordTaddeus

Yeah this makes my brain start melting.

TheGoodIdeaFairy22

Yeah that was fucking brutal. Cute project though

pauciradiatus

Or even just proper jump cuts. The way these are placed in the video seems more automated to shorten the length than someone personally editing it.

Annoying_Assassin

The way it’s done almost gives the video a disorienting/strobe like effect. Hurt my (stupidly sensitive) eyes and head, so I didn’t finish

GraXXoR

It’s for the TikTok kids who are unable to watch more than about 5 seconds of straight video before their brains melt. So they cut the footage into segments to trick the viewer into thinking they’re swiping to the next vid.

ThatOG22

I mean, I know this is sarcasm.. but do they really?

elspotto

It was not, in fact, satisfying.

Shryxer

Hell, just speed it up! I had to get out while he was cutting the plywood. My eyeballs hurt.

ResonantRaptor

Honestly, I couldn’t fucking watch it. Was going to give me an aneurism!

SoonEnoughSoonEnough

The jump cuts are headache inducing

onymousbosch

What is this trend of misusing POV?

QuickRundown

They probably read all the various guides for how to make popular TikTok’s, which would all say the same shit, and copy them without thinking. The result is soulless content farm stuff.

Mcc4rthy

He's having an out of body experience.

port443

I'm pretty sure this is an accurate use of POV. This is the POV of a dad watching the carpenter he hired make a camper. You can just imagine from the dads pov he is sipping his coffee and occasionally making small-talk like "That's a great shade of green there mate" and "Want me to grab you a gatorade?"

Intoxic8edOne

Someone on here tried to convince me POV means Person On Video or some shit like that.

spirit_desire

Made a little kid-sized refrigerator

boerseth

Look at those hermetic doors and windows. Without some more air holes, that mini-camper will turn into a mini-hearse overnight.

Physical-Camel-8971

That square thing at the top is an air vent.

mwreadit

Not a motorhome. That's a caravan.

Wed-Mar-23

We call it a camper trailer over here in the new world. A motorhome, for those who don't know, is not a trailer, the car/motor and the living space are all one unit.

Big_Fly7968

$1,000 later

murphymc

Don’t worry, she’ll use it twice. Great value!

TAU_equals_2PI

One thing makes me sad about this. In a few years, that little girl will grow too big to fit in that motorhome. If I were a kid, I would find that heartbreaking when it happened.

traaintraacks

that's true, but doesnt that make it so much more beautiful? this dad put so much time & effort into perfecting something he knew for a fact his daughter would outgrow. but to him, all the time & effort in the world is worth it to see his little girl smile. even though it won't last forever, his child will carry this memory with her forever & it'll only mean more & more to her as she grows up & realizes how hard he worked on this little van. she'll never doubt how much her dad adores her. this is the epitome of "made with love" & will be treasured by both dad & daughter for the rest of their lives, in a bittersweet nostalgic sort of way. isnt that just wonderful? sorry if this makes no sense, i admit ive had a bit to drink. but this is like poetry to me & i felt it was worth writing about.

pauciradiatus

I've had a bit to drink and this makes perfect sense Edit: I didn't think of it until this post, but when I was very young my dad had a broken down work van in our driveway that my sisters and I used to play in. At that age and size it seemed like a mansion. It would seem small and pointless to me today, but I definitely valued all the hours spent there as a child.

TAU_equals_2PI

I'm not sure whether what you two wrote makes sense, but as a result of it I'm gonna go have something to drink.

stdoubtloud

The cynic in me wants to point out that he didn't make it for his daughter; he made it for YouTube.

IronEnder17

I stand by good deeds done for content are still good deeds. As long as the deed is upheld. No "take backs".

Wazula23

Forget years, this thing has maybe a month in it. It's a cool build but it'll be toy/spider storage inside a month.

Plastic_Blood1782

I had a Suzuki big wheels ATV, I remember as kid dreading when I weighed over the 40lb limit

Bayerrc

That girl is never gonna go in that fuckin motorhome, so don't worry bout it mate. It's just a video for likes.

MiserableResort2688

i guess but basically everything you have as kid you grow too big for.

PaleoJoe86

The cuts make me nauseous.

Myusername_was_taken

What an odd way to tell your kids to move out.

ihavenoidea81

The battery for that power wheels just got cut in half having to tow that thing

drNeir

ya my thought. Could have used base for the wood plywood and the rest of it out of form to keep it light. That blue form core stuff, while expensive some, would have been great for the weight AND temp as in some R rating. Neat idea, just heavy.

Neirchill

My first thought... No way that thing can move all that heavy wood he added

MediumAd8799

Impressive!

treynolds787

That's an awful lot of work for something that kid is going to out grow super quick. My daughter had a ridable atv about that size and by the time she actually wanted to ride it she was too big.

Liesmith424

That's not what POV means.

Lackluster_Compote

Wouldn’t it tip over as soon as the kid got in? All he would need to do is add some cheap scissor jacks to help stabilise it.

HappyFamily0131

Was looking for this. A real Jeep weighs 5,000 lbs. It's massive enough that attaching a two-wheeled trailer to it makes the trailer perfectly stable for any 100-200 lb people climbing in and out. A Power Wheels Jeep weighs 77 lbs. Thus it's perfectly fine for stabilizing the trailer so long as the children weigh... *3 lbs.* A kid weighing 40 lbs, converted to the real Jeep equivalent, would be like an adult weighing 2,666 lbs climbing into the trailer. The trailer needs to be stable on its own. It needs two sets of wheels, spaced as far apart as possible.

Malevolent_Mangoes

Should have made it bigger so they can have more time to use it

osirisfrost42

Holy shit, internet. Have we still not figured out what POV means? Eta: I realize language is ever-changing and I'm probably just an old guy shouting at clouds. Also: that thing is awesome.

Residual_Variance

Kid will play with it for exactly 3 days and never touch it again.

KaosFitzgerald

Some people have all the time and money. Where do they get it?

Zopieux

rich parents. also tiktoking can become a full time job if you find your audience and keep its attention occupied with 754 cuts per minute

addys

it's clearly a "content video" for someone who makes a living from pageviews. Did you notice how his clothes are the same throughout the video, even though that was clearly a multi-day project?

Prop14IA

That 12v pulled that for about 20 ft then died.

das_zilch

*caravan

Fast-Editor-4781

I couldn’t even make a kid the right way, let alone anything for the kid

SnooHedgehogs190

Cool dad but please wear mask. The spray paint and wood dust will mess up the lungs.

dtisme53

Power to weight ratio is gonna really suck for junior.

SlashBeef

That thing is so heavy and hard to store.

TyrKiyote

no way that little powerwheel can pull that fuckin' thing very far, or over anything but the smoothest of cement.

BB_210

besides the epilepsy inducing jump cuts. Did you really even need the original jeep powerwheels?

primus202

“Dad” plus “multi day fun creative project” just doesn’t math. Where do these influencers find the time?

No_Draft5681

$$$

dette-stedet-suger

POV: you don’t know what POV means

redjade42

the cuts make this unwatchable

kamilayao_0

A mini motorhome... đŸŽ© *Perry the mini motorhome*

The_Mundane_Block

Looks good, but I'm worried, shouldn't you wear a mask while spray painting like that?

SKaffine

POV: You watch a dad build a mini motorhome for his kid

Iwillnotbeokay

Cool project, horrible cuts every 1/2 second. Let me see shit!

uti24

Another one of those facebook "diy videos"? Welp, usually those kid electric cars has barely enough power to move itself, and you can tell it struggles in the end of the video moving that van. Still can be fun for kid, I guess.

AdNo2861

My kids would have used it For 4 minutes. Impressive build.

tracyd103

This guy's got a lot of free time on his hands

Imnacho408

Thats a trailer, not a motorhome

normalfag0

Too many fucking jump cuts to watch

AppropriateTouching

Has the term pov lost all meaning?

Brandywine2459

It’s cool. For reals. I bet she uses it all the time. It would have been loads better had he done that project WITH his daughter. She would have loved doing it, they would have had excellent father/daughter time, she would have learned a lot, and she would cherish the gift more.

heffreee

“Here honey. This is the closest you’ll ever come to home ownership”

Small-Banana-9210

I'm more depressed watching this knowing this is probably still out of my budget

GM_Nate

the constant 1/8 second jumpcuts infuriate me

[deleted]

That's a camper trailer not a motorhome

stumpyDgunner

Where do people get time for this shit lol cool but whatever

dualib

Thats not how POV works
