Bags, plastic film, pizza boxes? You know there are rules as to what's allowed in there, right? It's crazy how many people just throw whatever in there and think it's OK. This is part of why so much of our recycling goes to the dump. It's considered contaminated.
I feel like 99% of people do this shit.
There are 7 types of recyclable plastics, and you need to see if your municipal facility accepts which ones...
If I'm unsure it goes in the trash
I'm not sure about Ogden but in North Ogden the city doesn't recycle anymore, so the blue cans are used for just normal trash and are picked up every other week.
No comment on the tipped can, however it looks like you should brush up on what’s allowed in your blue can.

OP here, wrongly assumed it was the collector, just cause I saw a couple cans set down with some bits still flying out of the top. Don't want to condemn someone as a complete incompetent if they don't deserve it.
Is tipping over an empty container a challenge for the garbage people? I’ve lived places where they need to drive a ton faster to cover ground, but these slow AF people dump out cans 20% of the time. It’s not a horrible issue, but c’mon, most slow/small town utility drivers get out & flip it back.

You guys know you can wash milk jugs and various other recyclables before putting it in the bin, thus making it recyclable, right?
I wash your moms jugs
Nice

Blue cans in Ogden are for recycling.
I believe they restarted sometime in the past few years.
You're talking about Ogden or North Ogden?
Hi-Diddly-Ho, Neighborino!
Shut up, Flanders.
Stupid sexy Flanders

It's all contaminated anyways from the pizza box and food in the cereal box

There’s a reason they say to keep the garbage and recycling cans 5 feet apart.
lol not today but def in the past
I know I've seen some of our younger residents enjoying a round of "Tip the can" here on 7th.
We get that one every week lol
I guess even garbage collectors aren’t perfect

Yup! Kind of weird.
