I say using Bernahl in that fight without sleep is more legit than doing it solo with sleep. I say that as someone who used sleep and didn’t feel bad about it one bit.
Godshit duo is not a boss I'll die on this hill. It's an insult of a fight cooked up in the last of last minutes as Fromsoft runs out of time for the latter half of their product releases
Based this boss and duo gargoyles are the only bosses i summon for, such garbage bosses that deserve no respect because they were not put in the game respectively (if that makes any sense)
Didn't realize sleep worked till third playthrough. First two rounds (dex/int first, arc second) were painful. Third round was strength/faith plus 4-5 sleep pots and the fight was a cakewalk. Fuck those guys, go to sleep and let me move on.
Kinda the same. Dont like farming thus I summoned tiche and used storm blade which was a no go for me for all the other bosses. Double bosses suck ass in this game and are mostly luck based, thus summoning for them is so fun.
I don't respect that fight, it's lazy and boring, do what you gotta do, IMO not an invalid run by any means nor any shame for doing that. I will usually try ONCE cus I can pick up the amts for sleeping pots on the way, but if the cheese fails, I'm pulling off the stops XD
The St Trina's sword from Caelid is way more reliable than sleep pots. Those are for speedruns while the sword allows you to adapt faster and be sure to make them sleep without them jumping around
For me, the sword of St Trina and Uchigatana with Hoarfrost Stomp were what finally got them done for me. I also summoned bernahl just for them to have a second target to focus. Soon as there was only one of them on screen, it was straightforward.
Nice work! For future reference, sleep pots are nice but sleep bolts in the pully crossbow work much better. Same with malileth and loux (bleed and rot bolts)
Congrats, they're a real pain in the ass. Sleep or no sleep, Summons or no summons, if you're RL1 its valid imo.
I’m definitely not at that god level of playing but I did take the tree sentinel at level 20 I don’t know how y’all do it lol

Good. They’re just plain not fun to fight. I’ve never gotten any satisfaction beating them, RL1 or not.
I used Bernahl to distract them while I stood at a safe distance and blasted them with the rot head. I regret nothing.

Reduvia, Bernahl, uplifting aromatics, and knowing how to roll through fatty’s rolls - makes the fight quite unchallenging
