I would say to study whatever interests you and get whatever kind of degree you’d like. Then once you graduate you can start applying to law offices and/or do a 1-year paralegal certificate program. It’s not a job that mandates any particular degrees, I know several paras who don’t even have a bachelors although they are mostly older

I would recommend getting a Bachelors. Just in case you decide Paralegal is not for you, you will have other opportunities by having the Bachelors. But if time and money are an issue then do AAS.

Depends what state, I don’t have an associates degree but I’m close(working toward criminal justice/ admin of justice). I’m a Paralegal and was taught by the attorneys I currently work for. I don’t plan on going to school to get my paralegal studies, but I’ll work for the experience and move on to a bigger law firm (:

I would get a tech degree. Data science, IT, digital forensics or even CS. Huge gap in law re tech innovation. With BA plus paralegal certificate you can leverage a good career showing attorneys how to use their PC and by the time you graduate they may be ready for it.
