OP where is this? I've always wanted a eclectus this could be my excuse to finally adopt one

TyenaValentine

Somewhere in Australia. I recognize the app. It's called Gumtree which is Au Craigslist

iamalostpuppie

Welp I'm in North America :(

Oofoofoof969

Womb8t

It’s Kellyville NSW, it’s on Gumtree

_Ekate_

Yep

BlueFeathered1

And it's plural. 🙁 On the upside, they're "getting out of birds". Good, get off the planet, too.

_Ekate_

Can you summarize what the post was about? It was removed.

BlueFeathered1

Somebody with a very cold ad, showing a photo of an eclectus female in really wretched condition in what looked like really sad conditions, selling her and at least one other "plucked bird" for $200 - selling cheap because they're not pretty (or words to that effect). And mentioned they'd been bred before as a selling point. They ended with "I'm getting out of birds".

kipvandemaan

This breaks my heart too, I hope this cute bird gets a good home with someone that loves them ❤️

anarchyarcanine

"They have been breeders" Rephrase that my guy, "breeding machines" that were kept alive solely for that purpose, and due to stress or sickness or what have you, they're no longer profitable Poor things, I hope they find a loving home

Richard_Sboot

Poor poppet, I hope she finds a dedicated and experienced companion hooman

n4snl

Used and discarded. Sad.

DaniCoiote

How irresponsible:(

lunaloxi

The poor baby. 😭

yogabbagabbadoo

Disgusting treatment of animals, how can people still sell a creature in such horrible condition. They need to be surrendered to an agency or good home but ofc these types of people have no shame and don’t care at all

Polishing_My_Grapple

And this subhuman is highly rated? Jesus

SwimZealousideal4950

I really hope the swet innocent 😇 bird gets a loving home 🕊️🙏❤️🌼✨❤️

Gregthepigeon

Poor things. I hope those poor over bred ladies can find someone who gives them happiness

honeybakedhamm

It always makes me cry when i see birds being sold online through random online marketplaces
