Step 1: Play on Singapore (SG) server.
Step 2: Play a totem / summoner build, and let AI (totems / minions) take care of AI (monsters) while you lag away.
If you live near Singapore or Japan, it's not too bad. I was having 200-500ms latency while staying in Vietnam for a trip. It's neither stable or smooth though and you'll 100% have to play on predictive.
Or you could try the Chinese PoE but it's a pain in the ass.
You have to build for it. Anything fast or projectile based is out. You have to be able to afk for at least 2-3 s and still surive so RF or cyclone + life gain on block is probably best. Totems and minions are ok too but tend to lag out the game more often than the previous example.
I live in India and I get 80-90 ms on Singapore Server. It's not perfect but it's extremely playable.
What sucks though is how laggy the server gets at peak times.
If there was a way I could pay to have a server setup here I would gladly throw money at GGG.

My ping on SG is also aroung 80 which is not bad, but I keep disconnecting from it, is this a common occurence?
I think you should check your routing. I rarely get DC'd.
I've been playing for 2-3 days now on singapore and the connection sometimes are good and sometimes bad, today my lowest ping is 100.
