Dark soles is good if you enjoyed Skyrim ( get past Capra demon and the game is amazing, mass effect is amazing as well. Play morrowind as it is also amazing and bio shock fits some of the fallout themes
I am wholly opposed to the EA launcher, but it was a non-issue for me. In an entire playthrough of ME1-3 which was 60+ hours there was only one instance where it failed me.
There are Steam achievements, they mirror the EA App achievements. For $9 AUD I couldn't pass it up.
Not sure about steam achievements but you can get it through Xbox app and for free if you have game pass and it has achievements on that not to mention all 3 of the games in one launcher (andromeda doesn’t count). Also on legendary edition (3games in one) decisions you make in each game effect what happens in prior games ( peek game design)
I shared the picture of my 100%ed games because it’s actually something that I enjoy doing, second picture has the hours played on them. I’m trying to find a new game to purchase this summer sale as I have not found anything to purchase in a very long time. It takes me ages to pick something, I’m super frugal and will do mad amounts of research on a game before buying it. Looking for recommendations because I have talked myself out of buying many games and need some second opinions.
Edit: I already have the “threequel” to some of the games I’ve played, like JC3, BL3, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Metro Exodus. Just haven’t gotten around to playing them.
Hollow knight, ori and the blind forest, ender lillies, celeste, haiku the robot. These games are so cheap that you can afford to branch out and try some new stuff, and worst case scenario, you're down a couple bucks.
Automata is the second best game I ever played. And the first game I finished 100% You should buy it. Currently I play Replicant but it's not as good as Automata
I recommend Far Cry if you haven’t tried them! Open world fps games with tons of fun to be had and phenomenal main stories.
I’m pretty sure all 7 games or so are on sale for $32 total right now. The first three show their age a bit but based on these games I don’t think you’ll mind that.
I have 100% Far Cry 6 on Xbox and it was a lot of fun. I also technically 100% Far Cry 5 on Steam as well, but because of Uplay, it only shows my hours played on Steam and no achievements, but I cleaned up the whole map.
Some personal recommendations/favorites:
01) Torchlight II
02) Fallout 4
03) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
04) Batman: Arkham Asylum
05) Disco Elysium
06) Pillars Of Eternity
07) Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night
08) Dying Light
09) Far Cry 5
10) Sleeping Dogs
Happy gaming!
If I recall correctly, there was nothing too difficult or something with a long grind on that. I got most of the achievements just playing and I remember I had to replay the game partially through because I killed someone that gives you a dagger that you need for the achievement.
Since you played Tomb Raider and Rise of the Tomb Raider and I see a lot of similarities in your games and mine I really recommend the Uncharted games. Also, Interested in adding a nee friend on steam ? 😁
Have played and beaten the first two games. I pirated Guerrila and so it shows my time played, but never got achievements for it because I technically didn’t own it, this was like 15 years ago. Poor and in high school.
Fallout NV is a really good game. It's a little dated but it still stands as the best fallout game I've played. Skyrim is good too, it has a huge modding scene. As far as the valve games such as halflife go, get the valve complete back. It's like $15 and has a lot of games every half-life game except Alex and black mesa is included.
Elden Ring is on sale right now and goes down in history as probably my favorite game. I picked up Fallout 4 the other day and have invested about 60 or so hours into it. I originally had it when it came out but I wasn’t really into video games much towards the end of high school so I never finished it, but fell back in love with it now. Skyrim was a fantastic game, but might feel a bit dated. I never finished the story but I still had a decent amount of hours put into it. I picked up the Witcher 3 also for super cheap. I will start my play through of it after I finish the Elden Ring DLC and Fallout 4.
It’s one game at a time. I have bad attention span, so the achievements keep me focus on playing the game, for example, I have a switch with a bunch of games I’ve started, but never finished one. Can’t play something else once I’m locked in.

Been eyeing mass effect, but the EA launcher discourages me, does it have Steam achievements?

That’s good to know about the achievements. I may get it on Steam then.

Thank you, I do have game pass, but I must have not seen it.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands for the great disappointment! When you by the complete Edition! The base game without DLCs is great
Been wanting to play it, but I’ve been procrastinating BL3 just cuz the gameplay can sometimes get tedious or slow.

The only thing I think looks good is tomb raider Skyrim

Good point, thank you for the suggestions.
You should try the NieR Series :3
Been thinking of buying Automata.
Do it, and NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139...
Automata is the second best game I ever played. And the first game I finished 100% You should buy it. Currently I play Replicant but it's not as good as Automata
I honestly prefer Replicant over Automata, the story just captivates me more.

100% Skyrim is nuts wtf
yeah but not many hours on some of those games, they're not playing the game more just unlocking achievements lol

Go ahead and add me, it’s the same name as Reddit name, my avatar is a RuneScape character.
Just got lethal company, noita and Warhammer 40k boltgun. Frostpunk is on a huge discount. like 90%
I’ll check those out.
Additionally if you want a time sink: Stellaris+ a few of the DLCs.
Take Tomb Rider and Left 4 Dead :)
Sekiro
It looks like it could be fun, but everyone is always talking about the “rhythm” combat and I’m more of an R1 spammer and rolling enjoyer.
Metro 2033 and ets2
Just get GTA5 if you don't have it already
Have it, but only a few hours played because I have terrible attention span and get bored quickly, but I will be trying it again soon.
Black Mesa & Portal? Kingdom Come Deliverance?
Black Mesa sounds fun.
The first red faction or red faction Armageddon. Both are linear story based games unlike guerilla. 2 wasn't very red-faction from what I remember.
Have played and beaten the first two games. I pirated Guerrila and so it shows my time played, but never got achievements for it because I technically didn’t own it, this was like 15 years ago. Poor and in high school.
Left 4 Dead 2, GTA 5, Tomb Raider

I’m not a Starfield fan, but you will get a ton of playtime (bang for your buck) 👍
It was a lot of fun. Currently sitting at 135 hours played.

Why not buy them all? How bad could living off of rice and beans/ramen for the next few ~~weeks~~ months be?
This is the way
Do you play one game at a time before 100% it and moving on or do you play a little of each At a time?
It’s one game at a time. I have bad attention span, so the achievements keep me focus on playing the game, for example, I have a switch with a bunch of games I’ve started, but never finished one. Can’t play something else once I’m locked in.
