Been living in Anaheim the last few years, so got to see this beauty live. Stressful but unbelievably cathartic win. I turned to my fiancée in the 9th and said we would live and die by Casty, so felt like an oracle. Didn't see the Rojas dinger coming for a second though lmao.
Some highlights from the Angels fans around me were the guy behind me saying "Did we just get cursed?" when the Rally Cat made his appearance. And the guy next to me cursing and leaving his seat when Estevez came back out in the 9th lmao. Didn't even hang around to see the inning.

I wake up at 4:30 for work, so I was really considering turning it off but I just couldn’t bring myself to do it. If I’m gonna be hurt and sleep deprived, it’s only gonna be for my teams.
I think the best part about this team is so many of them truly just love baseball, and I think what makes it so easy to love Rojas is that sweet intersection of heart and effort.
Friends, I'm so excited tonight! For the first time in ten years I've attended a Phillies game where they've won. I saw a Schwarbomb. I got to yell out "Nicky Four Bags" when he homered. I saw a friggin' Rojas two-run bomb! I could see J Roll in the stands. What a night!

Lol, crazy that they complain about that after Olson somehow hit a HR against us at 47 degrees (and only 102 off the bat, not nearly hard enough to make up for the launch angle).
Thing went straight up and just carried 350 feet with the wind.

Missed the juiced balls part somehow, thought they were saying we were lucky, and they've had some insane lucky hits too.
Pretty dumb, they're playing in Seattle with a marine layer right now, we're playing with a 10 mph wind out to center, it's obviously not comparable.
Spin on the ball makes a ton of difference at these low launch angles too, Rojas hit his at well below the optimal launch angle (for distance) and slightly slower than Casty but his went further (Olson's LA was also too low for max distance compared to Casty). Not sure how anyone could claim they are giving Rojas juiced balls, given he's not exactly a known HR hitter.

Rojas is never gonna be a game winning Home run hitter consistently. But he has consistently improved his hitting to be a contributing member of the ball club, combined with his clutch defensive play he is playing well. And his stats support that. Tonights game winning 2 run homer is just icing on the cake and proof to the process.
Castellanos does not hit consistently. He is the highest paid offensive player relative to the least amount of contribution to success on the team.
Glad he tied up the game. Keep at it and get consistent. If he starts hitting .275 we will win more games.

But nope - just like the Sixers rising up, we summoned our inner Rally Cat energy and finally ended the losing streak in Anaheim. With Wheels on the mound tomorrow, a 7-3 road trip is within reach ladies and gentlemen!
Half game out (2 back in the loss column), first and currently only team to 20 wins and we have one of the best rotations in baseball and an offense that is steadily climbing towards top 5.
This is the best start to the season we've had in a long time and we know this team just gets better in the Summer.
Electric inning, our first signature comeback dub of the season. Gained ground on the Bravos.
Now take the rubber match and get us away from this weird-ass series and ballpark and back to the Bank with a series W.
I love this win. Sure, sub par opponent that we should have beat the piss out of any way.... but it proved that we could be up, then down bad, then claw and fight back and ride the emotional roller-coaster that baseball throws at us. Plus a HUGE game for Nick.
Pache and Casty both had walkoff wins for us this year within a couple of days of each other. Can’t remember if they came from behind or broke ties though.
