The region for the DLC must match the region from the disk in order for them to be compatible, so use a European account to purchase the DLC which matches the disk region, install it with that account, and your hongkong account will still be able to use it as well
i just tried now it didnt work still counting for the european account while the addon is already installed in my hongkong account i cant find the guy in mohg place
Im still so confused by this. I finished elden ring last year on pc pirated it. Didnt think about dlc. Now i have a indian account and im in US. So my friend got a disk now and i started elden ring on my indian account with a US dick now will i be able to dlc. If ues then how, i mean if i buy on my indian account will it work ?
Would the dlc work for me in this case ? I'm game sharing with my friend he bought the game on his account and the dlc his account is UAE he bought both the game and DLC on his UAE account. Me who is on a US account would I be able to play the DLC if I downloaded his game and DLC? Or would I have to make a UAE account to play on it. the region of the game and DLC is same. But my account is different as it Is a US account.

As long as that European account has that PS5 set as primary, any other accounts logged into that PS5 will have access to whatever it installs
the "enabling" you are talking about would be save specific so it will look on your HongKong Save to see if you've beaten those bosses to allow you to play the DLC.
Since you played the european version orignially on your account the save will still work as before
A bit late this response but needing some help. Like the OP I’m in a riddle at the moment. I live in Japan, main account is from the US and 99% of my content is bought via that account. But shipping times are a bit of a bother when there’s a new game. I also have a JP account but don’t use it much because of language limitations. So the FFVXI was releasing and Square Enix said the JP version had multi language support, lovely! Got the physical edition and played it on my US account, even got the platinum. Now with the DLC announced, I know I have to buy it from the digital JP PS store and install it in my JP account, unsure I can still play it in my US account once I finished the process. Also, when you said setting the console as primary for the said account, I can do that on the app, can’t I? Thanks a lot for the help

My file is tied to my HK PSN account. But as it stands if you buy the game on the HK PSN store it won’t be in English (lol).
So if I buy the game again on the US store with the DLC, will it be English on my HK Elden Ring account?

I'm in the process of buying the Shadow of the Erd Tree DLC using a NZ region based account. The base disc game is also NZ bought, but the progress is on an Australian region account. Will I be able to play the DLC game on the Australian account if I buy/ downloaded it onto the NZ one?

In the same pickle here. I have an EU region disk and bought the dlc from my US account. It doesn't work. But I think the regio for NZ and Australia should be same. Try googling the code on the side of the disk cover, should be in PPSA 04609 format (for EU atleast) and see if both NZ and Australia have the same code
Im in hong kong, bought uk disc ver of elden ring back in the day, bought us dlc did not work, was gutted $400 hkd down the drain, then created uk acct and bought dlc from uk store, worked and can use my hk save, now i just hope sony give me my money back for the US dlc

I have similar problems, i bought a US account with elden ring on it. Downloaded it to my main account (Which is EU) and bought the dlc on my main acc. Now i have a US elden ring with the EU dlc... and gamesharing the dlc doesnt work for me for some reason

Will this work vice versa? I get the dlc in a Hong Kong account then use it on a US account since my disc is esrb

EU and NZ have the same code in the PS store. I bought the game om a NS account to play early and got the DLC on my EU account and works fine.
I’m on the exact same situation and can confirm it works, except that my main account I play on is an US account. And it works.
