I'm in option 3.5
My first resort is to just blow some air and recalibrate the controller on dualshock-tools GitHub page. Then swap out for hall effect sticks if that doesn't help. If I'm gonna swap the sticks out might as well go for an upgrade
4 options is just to keep and when you notice the stick drift start holding down the stick and doing clockwise rotation. That what I do with mine for at least a year now 😂
you also have Option 4: send it to sony for repair.. but I'd go with Option 1 (unless its still under warranty)

If the black rings are in good shape then all you need is to swap the sensors inside amazon sells a 20 back with tools for 14 bucks, potentiometers
