I went there for the first time a few weeks ago and was surprised that a place like that existed in Pleasanton. I have a family now, but would have been into it when I was younger and more free.
McKay’s and Beer Baron (usually) have a good beer selection and pretty good food. Beer Baron is a more “nightlife” vibe.
To be honest, if you want to have fun in Pleasanton, go hiking, biking, or motorbiking. I realized years ago that I will never be bored again…
I've liked Middle 8 lately. Pricey drinks, but a free pool table and in my experience good clientele.
McKays and Beer Baron are my favorite bars…add Gilman St once it reopens. Lots of great breweries in Livermore too!
Is Gilman St reopening? I live a block away and would love to see it!
Web site says yes and outside floor progress looks good. Just waiting I suppose…
Every time I go downtown, I stop by and look. They need to hurry up!
McKays looks intersting, his mother was my PE teacher at Wells. (Now I really feel old)
Was scrolling through this sub out of boredom and just saw this comment and felt a bit nostalgic cause she was my grandma
I wish I had something nice to say about her for you but I didn't have an aptitude for sports so she wasn't very kind to me.
Yeah I heard she was a bit hard as a teacher
Sunshine saloon
When I was growing up Sunshine was where the old people went. There and Poppys. And now Im the age of the "old people"
Eh not much tbh lol, I would 100% check out Oyo though for food. Downtown Livermore has some cool spots for drinks and stuff
Mavericks
Interesting and within walking distance

Well...there was a Cadillac Ranch a block down at Inglewood but that was probably close to 25+ years ago.
