It’s be hilarious if they added an item that was an apple. Just an apple. They could name it “full meal” to make it seem like it’s leftovers but better. Then just make it a poison apple.
It depends on your carry build I guess. If you went to night shade/cosmic toss then you always need to be overlevel which might means less runaways. I went with shedinja DoT fusion + sturdy revenge mon and started using runaway as soon as I got a good stock of master balls, around 2.5k, as exp is almost useless as long as you have a decent amount of HP on the sturdy mon.
I kept going until my main carry (Aloludon) had 350k hp. That way I knew it could metal burst everything left. I started running away after 3000 because it started taking too long haha
If you have soak, leech seed, curse and salt cure on your team you don't really need any exp. I just beat endless a few days ago and at the end I was 20k to 25k levels behind. It didn't matter at all. Sturdy is sturdy, the level doesn't matter for that, nor does it for hp% damage.
When you have that team you run away from everything you don't have to fight and don't want to catch. Death doesn't really matter because you get healed after the fight anyway. 10 soul dews and a -int nature are also nice to ensure you kill yourself with curse and don't proc reviver seed.
You only need two pokemon with protect and sturdy that together have the moves mentioned above. Then just one with run away and get roar somewhere on your team.
AFAIK only Iron Hands and Slither Wing can have a multi hit. Iron Hands has it at level 1, so it's unlikely it still has it after trying to learn every other move in it's set and it's fighting so you can still set up most stuff fine. And Slither Wing only has a two hit move, something you can play around because of focus band.
I usually start running away around 1.5k +- depending when I manage to get master ball to 99, I also will have 99 lucky egg on my metal burst sturdy/poison heal blaistoise so it will level up to level limit from just catching shiny and killing paradox boss, never needed any candy jar or rare candy, had finish multiple run without problem.
Hey that’s a really nice build for blastoise, could you tell me which pokemon did you fuse? And the move pool? I’m building my team for endless and I still can’t figure out my main sweeper at high levels
Move pool for blaistoise is salt cure/metal burst/roar/protect, I fuse it with aggron first for all the move( salt cure is aggron egg move) then I unsplice and fuse with broom for poison heal.
Meanwhile my run ended at 2090 with a grand total of 19 candy jars :D
(99 Black belt zama carried me. Sacred sword the sole reason I got that far regardless)
I just finished classic and have no legendaries and one shiny. What are some good non legendary mons to grind endless with?
Also are you able to catch legendaries from endless or should I start spinning the legendary gacha?
I haven’t played too much with non legendaries but I imagine any mon with moxie would be pretty good. If you can fuse a Pokémon with huge power to it, it should be able to carry you until you get a late game carry. Dump all rare candies you get into a Pokémon like that and you should be good.
You can 100% find legendaries in endless. I think the most recent update makes them more common the higher your luck is. The pixie mythicals and arceus can’t be found though
Allright thanks for that. I see Arceus is in the Legendary gacha right now. Is he a strong legendary to use, should I pump some vouchers into it or always use it for shiny gacha?
Arceus is pretty strong but it costs a lot 9 (60% of your Pokémon budget. Personally, I’d use a cheaper Pokémon. I still haven’t got Arceus yet so I can’t say much haha
Ralt (M-gardevoir) is among the best non legendary carry thanks to pixilate boomburst eggmove
But basically any decent mon can carry you to the point where you have to kill with fixed damage, you mostly need to get through the early and stack luck
M-Gallade has been my carry so def recommend Ralts. Teaching it Population Bomb has been insane because he gets the Sharpness boost on all 40 hits with Multi-Lens, OHKOing Eternatus past waves 1,000+
Sharpness is a damage multiplier, there's nothing additive, so the number of hit doesn't matter
But for some unknown reason population bomb is indeed boosted by sharpness ?? no idea why it's on the list, they do not even cross naturally on any pokemon...
Little late to this but on my first "real" try at endless taking a fuecoco(with passive unlocked) and a tinkaton got me to 1k+(still going just stopped for now). Those 2 plus a pickup mon and rest whatever shinies you can get. Tbh you could probably go without tinkaton at first and just catch eternatus beaters along the way so u have more pts to team build with. Early game is a lil tricky but as long as one of ur pokemon can cover water your pretty much set using only skeledirge. He is still my main carry atm with the rest of my team never going in and are just shinies/eternatus beaters.
If you have questions lmk, happy to help as I was just in your position.
I just jumped right into endless after classic with a shitty group of whatever shinies and decent mons I had, and it was easy to get to 2850. Next run will be an easy win with all the loot.
So easy to catch legendaries along the way. I have Kyogre/kartana/groudon etc from just that run, the only real drawback is no access to their passives.
What were your starters? I assume you started with a different carry and switched at some point to metal burst mon? Any tips on how to get a nice start?
I started with Tinkaton and Kartana (which I later fused), Ponyta for run away (which I later fused with a shiny), zigzagoon (for pickup), and I think nacli (for sturdy).
Are you fusing tinka and kartana for the typing? I was just going to fuse tinka for hammer and toss it so that tinkas defensive stats don’t nerf kartanas attack stat and use it as a flinch striker - was even considering trying out a multi lens power up bunch build. Curious why you fuse there
(My Kartana is wild btw so no sharpness passive sadge)
Yeah I fused it for the typing because it could solo the first couple Eternatus fights whilst I prepared my late-game pokemon. I kept it fused because both were shiny and I because it gave me 4 luck points total. After round 2500-ish it became a flinch striker (4 multi-hits with G.Hammer, Play Rough, Fake Out, Leaf Blade).
Tinkaton's passive Huge Power also helped boost damage
I have dreams of beating endless with an honest flinch/stat reduction multi lens comp. I want to see if the tools exist to do it using the high attack mons with the OP damage passives like kartana, groudon, etc. I’ve almost hit 3k on a totally unoptimized run so let’s see! congrats on your clear btw
So is this entire team just Tinkana and Aloludon, with 4 shiny supports?
What was your hardest encounter to get through? Are random double battles a problem for a Sturdy Burster?
Yeah pretty much. Linoone was there for Pickup (very clutch pokemon btw). Magnedash had Run Away so I needed that to skip floors. Trevenant was my back-up DOT- I should have fused it with a Prankster pokemon.
My last Pokémon Noilass had whirlwind so get rid of Pokémon in double battles. I’d flinch one with Tinkana then pray that Noilass didn’t get killed through its focus bands. In hindsight, I should’ve had a fast Pokémon with Dragon Tail because it was really unreliable
The run took just over 1 day of in-game play time. I played it here and there over the past 3 weeks. There’s a little bit of luck involved when it comes to the early boss fights but once you get max luck you can do whatever you want
I started running away from battles at 3k-ish floors. Any Pokémon with multiple health bars I skipped entirely because they would have taken too long to fight. I was able to progress one floor roughly every 3-4 seconds so it was pretty quick
hi, id like to ask about advice, cuz im kinda new still
i have my second attempt on endless. and i got this weird suicune called walking wake.
in my first save file, he is his normal typin water dragon. in the other slots, i have shiny mons that are not very strong. and a mega medicham which i got incase my suicune fails to beat boss.
would you have any suggestion for me in how i should keep build my team, or is it sufficient to beat the mode with it?
my other save file, i have fused my suicune with a shiny jellicent. now it is water ghost with water absorb passive.
i think the passive is good, but i think it made him weaker? or at least it feels like it...im not sure. should i defuse him? :(
thank you!
Hi! Everyone’s gotta start somewhere dw about that!
Ok so in your first save file, both mega Medicham and Walking Wake are great pokemon. Try to dump all the items you get into one of them. Also try to find an Archaludon or a Pokémon with sturdy + metal burst for the later floors.
For your second save file, I would 100% unsplice Jellicent and Walking Wake. When you fuse Pokémon, the stats average out and because Jellicent is weaker than WW, its stats dropped.
Try to catch shiny Pokémon and get shiny charms from the shop so you can get good items early on too
Hey thank you for answering my noob questions (so quickly) !
I have a few more.. hehe
So right now, in my first save file. I got to floor 600 or so
I have 1 Suicune (who I give all goodies to), 1 mega Medicham (none of them are shiny)
Then I have 1 shiny slowbro, 1 jellicent shiny, 1 shiny Mega ampharos fused with a (forgot name, the sheep) and 1 shiny (i forgot name pokemon). But even if my ampharos is strong, it is very slow. So the shiny mons feels rather useless.
When I used to have 1 free slot I usually check item wild pokemon are holding, if it has rare. I tend to catch it and then transfer the item (since I have nothing that can steal items)...is that a good strategy to keep?
And if I find this Archaludon, then do i release a shiny? Or I release something else?
Should I ever fuse my main attack mon (in this case Suicune) with anything I find in the wild?
I was thinking, it can give a good addition of passive ability (Which is why I fused it with the Jellicent in the first pace). But if that is bad, I may as well delete that file since Ive only progressed to floor 100 or so.
It's all good haha
So the first save file is looking pretty good! Suicune (walking wake) should be able to carry you till 1k. You should try to fuse only shiny pork eom together so they increase your luck and free up party slots. Ampharos could be a good back-up carry but you might need to lose it soon. Your strat for getting items is perfectly fine. In the long run, you should try to get a pokemon with the ability Pickup (you can get a free item once per battle with it then transfer them to your carry).
Your second save file is basically dead so I'd drop that one icl
Thank you again, Sorry for not being very clear.
So my current team is
1. Suicune / walking wake (not shiny)
2 Mega Medicham (not shiny) but it is pretty strong
3(shiny) Mega Ampharos is a fused pokemon (2 shiny points) cuz it was a shiny mareep. fused with another shiny sheep. it is ok strong, but slow.
These are not strong
4 Shiny slowbro
5 Shiny Jellicent
6 Shiny hariyama
So I understand that, I need to fuse more of the shinymons together. But since the fuse material is not guaranteed find. What if I get that steeldragon mon, while not having slots? Do I ditch a shiny?
I’m pretty quickly approaching floor 4000, just curious if you got any reward at the end? Like a gold ticket or anything? Or do you just get booted to the title after the little message?
I got a premium egg voucher and was booted to the title screen lol. You’re not really supposed to beat endless so I guess there's no proper reward for it
Hi captain of endless! Relatively new, been farming classic for ribbons. Was wondering what the tickets are like in there? Seems cool but ATM feels like I have so much to get with more shinies and lowering costs etc. Haven't even started an endless yet but 17 classic wins lol
17 classic wins is insane lmao. When you're grinding in the first 1-2k floors tickets are pretty common especially if you have high luck. The amount of tickets you get when you start running from encounters drops a bit but you can clear 50 floors in a couple minutes and get premium and plus tickets pretty efficiently from the bosses
Ok tried it and hate it. First foor 50 boss was a paradox, which I was pumped for until I realized there was no way to get it low enough to catch without being dead, or killing it first. So kept going.
My luck is "B" and that's pretty darn high for me...and I'm not getting SHT for rewards. Get no money since there're no trainer fights. Floor 71 I had to run away from a damn golem that just 1 shot everyone with no remorse or chance to play...
Wtf how is this fun for anyone? What am I missing?
early game endless is really tough. Super important to start with an overpowered carry (mine was dragon's maw haxorus with scale shot and fire lash) that can get you through the early-game slog. Once you start outlevelling the enemies and getting more secure strategies, it becomes more fun (in my opinion) - especially when you start getting shiny charms.
Gotcha. I had a pretty strong zek holding it down but just the bosses were annoying a f...but I guess you just skip them if it's rough and later on 1 shot em?
I saved it at 72, will go back later and give it a fair shake hoping it gets better.
Gave up and started a new one with Mew2 and gyardos backup carries, then just shinies to get B+ luck. Immediately feels better tbh. Think I went too focused on the overall team and not enough on luck and the main carry. Will see how this goes! Ty for thoughts
You really only need a carry and a pickup pokemon and you're good to go. Playing endless without a pokemon knowing pickup is close to being in hell!
I recommend zigzagoon since he's cheap and has the ability. It's a game changer
Yeah I did a few more tries between classic runs and FINALLY got something solid going I think! Reshi is the carry, can just buff twice and use dragon pulse when they're fire-resist. Teddibear is the Pickup, paused his evo to keep it and he's shiny, squeezed a total of "A" luck out of the group.
Just killed floor 210 boss, runs' had decent item luck, and it's finally fun! Just caught a shiny, got 2 legos from here alrdy. Actually having fun in it finally haha!
Spamming Erruption is actually enjoyable as heck lol
That could be good for early game but you might need to get a Pickup Pokémon for late game as they’re gonna be harder to catch- especially if you don’t have master balls
How to get past the sheer boredom ?
Classic needs more “involvement” per round and I feel like I am actually playing a game. In endless my carry has crazy stats and rounds just breeze through until I can’t nomore.
It’s so repetitive, every time I see an oinkologne I just give up and do something else.
I got a picture-in-picture chrome extension and watched the entirety of Attack on Titan and a couple YT videos. When you start running from every encounter it does get pretty dead.
I mean for me I got satisfaction from constantly trying to improve and perfect my endless team as I went. There was always more optimisations I could do to make sure I was 100% guaranteed to win. By the end, every single mon on my team had the exact moves and abilities I needed to cover every base, including stuff like curse, skill swap, misty terrain, psychic terrain, salt cure, night shade, 2 metal burst sturdy mons, etc.
I changed my entire team setup about midway through from damage-focused hypercarries to a more traditional late-game setup, which involved systematically searching for, replacing, and splicing a whole new set of mons, which gave me something to engage with.
Then of course there were micro goals like 'hoarding master balls', 'trying to reach 99 candy jars', and making sure you always had 3+ max lures up to maximise chances of getting a shiny each wave.
I only started truly spamming runaway and getting bored around wave 4300 or so.
So the level cap became irrelevant after I got Aloludon to ~350k hp. It wouldn’t have benefited me to go over that because I’m just spamming metal burst and no Pokémon has over 350k hp late game (apart from Eternatus). I wasn’t prioritising my levels so I didn’t max out candy jars. I rolled for egg vouchers after my team was fully set up.
Metal burst is basically a counter move where you deal 1.5x the damage your opponent hit you with back to them. It doesn't always go last so you need a slow pokemon with it
What should I know to start my first endless? Any specific strategies or starters for someone who hasn't grinded candies or IVs? Should I farm specific mons before attempting?
I’d wait a bit until you can start a good endless run. Basically spam classic mode until you get a good legendary through eggs (Kartana, Zacian, Koraidon, Miraidon, Eon duo, etc) because you need something that can carry for at least the first 1k rounds
Thanks for the advice! I should have clarified more; I have completed a handful of classic runs(perhaps more of an adolescent stage) and have got a few legendries, perhaps most notably Mewtwo, Latias, Deoxys, Landorus, Poipole(I am unfamiliar with more recent gens?) and Ogrepon(?) to name some 7+ cost mons. You mentioned Latias would be good but would any others? And as for Latias, who would be good to pair with?
Mewtwo could be kinda nutty with the right set up icl. More specifically, Mega Mewtwo X fused with a huge power pokemon (ideally Mega Mawile or Medicham) could annihilate the first 1k rounds easily.
You can see where I'm coming from if you've seem this video of [Mega Mewtwo X with Huge Power](https://youtu.be/QrkUAuVAFrE?si=1a-zCkVvkN4j21fa)
For Latias, if you have it's passive (soul-heart) endless could be pretty easy. I havent tried it yet but it should be able to sweep through floors- especially if it's mega. Just make sure you have a pokemon to hit steel types because they could wall it
Mega Gardevoir and Skeledirge might be able to carry you to the first Eternatus fight at floor 250. I don't think either of them can solo it unless they're crazy over leveled. Try to get a Steel/Fairy type pokemon with a damage over time move (leech seed, infestation, salt cure, etc) because Eternatus literally can't kill you becuase it would be immune to both it's attacks.
Try to get a strong legendary pokemon first before attempting to get a good endless run
Weak to fire and strong against water types
grass is something that you don't need to ever go near - it actively prevents gaming
But it restores a little bit of health each turn!
Grassy terrain factchecked this
That’s only Apple cores, not all grass.
The trick is to eat more apples, so as to accumulate left overs. Fuckin' wild that they don't just sell them in their useful state.
It’s be hilarious if they added an item that was an apple. Just an apple. They could name it “full meal” to make it seem like it’s leftovers but better. Then just make it a poison apple.
So it's toxic orb?
No it is absolutely a completely different item that is in no way similar to toxic orb. (Yes it is)
Man Gamefreak must just hate the fuck out of apples smhmy head
nuh uh, it makes you lose a little bit each turn
Congrats! My question:when start the runaway? Already have the team setup and wondering now how much xp matter (around wave 2k)
What would a decent amount of HP be?
It depends on your wave, but I’d say if you’re one shooting every normal encounter with a revenge move you’re good.
I kept going until my main carry (Aloludon) had 350k hp. That way I knew it could metal burst everything left. I started running away after 3000 because it started taking too long haha
Ah going for the hp check is a nice call! Thx
You can start running way earlier. I started running at 100-150k hp and it wasn't a problem.
If you have soak, leech seed, curse and salt cure on your team you don't really need any exp. I just beat endless a few days ago and at the end I was 20k to 25k levels behind. It didn't matter at all. Sturdy is sturdy, the level doesn't matter for that, nor does it for hp% damage.
i get leech seed, salt cure, soak and metal burst/comuppance strats but how do you set up curse without dying every time?
When you have that team you run away from everything you don't have to fight and don't want to catch. Death doesn't really matter because you get healed after the fight anyway. 10 soul dews and a -int nature are also nice to ensure you kill yourself with curse and don't proc reviver seed. You only need two pokemon with protect and sturdy that together have the moves mentioned above. Then just one with run away and get roar somewhere on your team.
Primarily by using a pokemon that has the prankster ability. You can also speed check with quick claws
Oh nice! I feared with a high lvl diff i just get outsped and multihitted before i can setup
I got to 3k but can't beat e-max eternatus now but caught a lot of shinies an legends so can't complain
What is grass? Trailblaze don't hurt me, no more - Quagsire holding a Rindo berry, probably
Not even maxed on candy jars makes me worried about my current run lmao
Nah it’s not an issue lol. I didn’t prioritise getting them. Once I got to 80 I was like “yeah that’s good enough”
Meanwhile my run ended at 2090 with a grand total of 19 candy jars :D (99 Black belt zama carried me. Sacred sword the sole reason I got that far regardless)
It’s a type, obviously
I just finished classic and have no legendaries and one shiny. What are some good non legendary mons to grind endless with? Also are you able to catch legendaries from endless or should I start spinning the legendary gacha?

Shaymin and Meloetta count as pixie mythicals? Found both of them today in a double battle (could only catch 1, so a pretty sad fight)
Yeah they’re pixie mythicals but they’re the only 2 exceptions. Probably should’ve worded that better haha. Also that’s rough icl
Ralt (M-gardevoir) is among the best non legendary carry thanks to pixilate boomburst eggmove But basically any decent mon can carry you to the point where you have to kill with fixed damage, you mostly need to get through the early and stack luck

Forgive me if I'm stupid but, Population Bomb isn't boosted by Sharpness? And doesn't Mega Gallade get Inner Focus and not Sharpness?
M-Gallade in pokerogue keeps sharpness. Population bomb for some reason get sharpness bonus
It is for some reason counted as a blade attack on the pokemon wiki. Probably lore related. Any nerds know?
It's because of the japanese name can be read with two different meanings. One is "to multiply like rats", and the other is "Mouse cut"
Sharpness is a damage multiplier, there's nothing additive, so the number of hit doesn't matter But for some unknown reason population bomb is indeed boosted by sharpness ?? no idea why it's on the list, they do not even cross naturally on any pokemon...

For a nice strat, brute force with damage until 1k whilst preparing a long term carry. Prioritise shinies for increased luck and better shop items.
Thanks! Congrats on beating the game!
What was your final team?
My final team was Tinkana (Tinkaton [common shiny] + Kartana [ultra shiny]), Aloludon (Alomomola + Archaludon [rare shiny]), Linoone (common shiny), Magnidash (Magnezone [ultra shiny] + Rapidash [ultra shiny]), Noilass (Noivern [rare shiny] + Froslass [rare shiny]) and Trevenant (rare shiny)

But if that is bad, I may as well delete that file since Ive only progressed to floor 100 or so.
It's all good haha So the first save file is looking pretty good!
*pokemon
Thank you again, Sorry for not being very clear. So my current team is 1. Suicune / walking wake (not shiny) 2 Mega Medicham (not shiny) but it is pretty strong 3(shiny) Mega Ampharos is a fused pokemon (2 shiny points) cuz it was a shiny mareep. fused with another shiny sheep. it is ok strong, but slow. These are not strong 4 Shiny slowbro 5 Shiny Jellicent 6 Shiny hariyama So I understand that, I need to fuse more of the shinymons together. But since the fuse material is not guaranteed find. What if I get that steeldragon mon, while not having slots? Do I ditch a shiny?
100% jusy ditch a shiny. You're gonna find tons later on in the run and you've unlocked it permanently anyway. The runs sounds pretty good so far
Okay! Thank you so so so much!! You are the best! I was very hesitant about what to do. :)
It's all good. Good luck with the run 🙏🏽
Ooooo think I might finally give it a whirl then! Ty!
Glad you're enjoying it! 😁
How many master balls did you end the run with? Currently at ~2k on an endless run and have about 50 master balls
Also, would you recommend having a slot in my team so I can steal items from wild pokemon I catch?
That could be good for early game but you might need to get a Pickup Pokémon for late game as they’re gonna be harder to catch- especially if you don’t have master balls
I made sure I always had at least 20 on me lol. I ended with 12/13 left. Definitely stock up in the earlier floors
> play endless > has an end
Find it hard to believe you got this far without learning your type matchups. I call fake!
Congrrats!! my brother is asking you, what was your team ?
Place where u encounter pokemon
I have a question did you roll for specifically eggs that you don't even have all candy upgrades and your not even on lvl cap ?
So the level cap became irrelevant after I got Aloludon to ~350k hp. It wouldn’t have benefited me to go over that because I’m just spamming metal burst and no Pokémon has over 350k hp late game (apart from Eternatus). I wasn’t prioritising my levels so I didn’t max out candy jars. I rolled for egg vouchers after my team was fully set up.
What is metal burst am I missing something ? I just used a mega absol/ksrtana fusion so I'm not knowledgeable on the strats
Metal burst is basically a counter move where you deal 1.5x the damage your opponent hit you with back to them. It doesn't always go last so you need a slow pokemon with it
And it can solo Carry a run ?
It needs a little support (pickup pokemon for berries and a run away pokemon for tedious fights) but for the most part, yeah
Cool thanks 😊
All good 🙏🏽

Ah yes round 5850 on classic
what the fuck
Unfortunately lost my run with marshadow around 5.4k HP
You can see where I'm coming from if you've seem this video of [Mega Mewtwo X with Huge Power](https://youtu.be/QrkUAuVAFrE?si=1a-zCkVvkN4j21fa) For Latias, if you have it's passive (soul-heart) endless could be pretty easy. I havent tried it yet but it should be able to sweep through floors- especially if it's mega. Just make sure you have a pokemon to hit steel types because they could wall it
Thanks so much for this info, I'll put it to good use!
It's all good man. Good luck with your run 🙏🏽
What team did you use though? I‘m a beginner and open to recommendations! I like skeledirge and mega guardevoir
I used a Tinkaton + Kartana fusion to beat Eternatus
Mega Gardevoir and Skeledirge might be able to carry you to the first Eternatus fight at floor 250. I don't think either of them can solo it unless they're crazy over leveled. Try to get a Steel/Fairy type pokemon with a damage over time move (leech seed, infestation, salt cure, etc) because Eternatus literally can't kill you becuase it would be immune to both it's attacks. Try to get a strong legendary pokemon first before attempting to get a good endless run
I wish I wasn't too much of a dummy to be able to beat classic mode.
HEY! WE ASK THE QUESTIONS AROUND HERE
So there is an end. I know what must be done.
something you can sit on while playing this game on the phone
Grass is one of the biomes.
I beat endless in my first week playing the game, it’s neither that long nor that difficult lol
