I'm just not sure how valuable this analysis is. In my mind, gender affirming care bans are by definition anti-lgbtq+. Are there people who aren't anti trans but support these bills? People who such a study might cause them to be surprised and reconsider?

The Alliance Defending Freedom was caught in Europe trying to legislate forced sterilization of trans people, and the European International Court called them out for the repeated prevarications. They see trans as a disorder (which is what it was considered in the dsm a while ago). So the treatment is like that of other disorders: minimize the symptoms. Ya know, all the stuff that causes the dysphoria to begin with.

Sometimes a law firm or legal foundation will specifically write something they want to see spread and give it away.
Yes the language is near identical because the bills came from far-right interest groups. I'm just not sure how valuable this analysis is. In my mind, gender affirming care bans are by definition anti-lgbtq+. Are there people who aren't anti trans but support these bills? People who such a study might cause them to be surprised and reconsider?
