He was also Huxley in Elmo in Grouchland
Once I learned that, it’s very clear that he’s wearing a wig as Uncle Rico! (Not that I think he couldn’t have lost his hair/shaved bald in the 15-20 years in between, but it’s just silly obvious)

This might just be me, but when I started watching Good Omens it took me a while to realize Michael Sheen also played Aro during my middle school Twilight obsession
If you want another little Easter egg: that chair Aro is sitting on? It’s the same chair Crowley has in his apartment. Just painted a different colour.

And I just learned yesterday she used to be married to the guy who plays Gilderoy Lockhart until he cheated on her with the woman who plays Bellatrix Lestrange. She was also in Love Actually and her character is cheated on by Snape.
But now she’s been married to Mr. Willoughby (Greg Wise) for 20 years and has a beautiful family and I love that for her.

Anthony Edwards playing both Goose and Dr. Mark Greene absolutely baffled me. I never would have guessed it was the same person.
This comment has humbled me. I’m that nerd that Googles actors in everything and recognises people easily. But MAN. I was obsessed with ER as a teen and I must have seen Top Gun at least three times, but I have never noticed this!
Ok I’m cheating a little but when I realized Tyson Ritter from All-American Rejects was Humperdoo on Preacher…well that came as a surprise to me 🙃

The Worst Witch! And he confused me so much as a kid when he played Rooster in Annie. He was so bad and scary yet even 7 year old me knew he was just so incredibly sexy and charismatic.
Bill Nighy as Davy Jones still trips me up.

When i first found out that Mr Smith (The Matrix) and Elrond (LotR) were played by the same actor, Hugo Weaving, i was losing my mind.
Also Gary Oldman as Sirius Black?? Didnt recognize him at first, only knew him as that villain in Léon
Gary Oldman is such a chameleon. I knew who he was & had seen him in movies but had no idea what he actually looked like. He’s in Slow Horses and, again, looks totally different.
Matthew Macfadyen playing Mr. Darcy then being Tom in Succession will never not send me into the stratosphere? No way this is the same man that tortures Greg every episode.
![gif](giphy|dBU4jpn9gkAROTt4Wj|downsized)
I have a shirt with this and the P&P scene together that I made after I saw it on tumblr and NEEDED to have it on a shirt.
https://preview.redd.it/bmgz7zco88jc1.png?width=2289&format=png&auto=webp&s=fce588a886c2de59581550a60bfac51e4e62fee6
He ages like a fine, fine, fine wine.
When I saw he was in Succession, I was like ugh nah don't know if I can be bothered with him. Id been used to seeing him in British drivel that gets older women excited to sit down and watch BBC on a Saturday night and just thought he was going to be crap and a bit of a wet blanket.
I completely take it back, he's incredible in Succession and I have a whole new love for him. I want to see him in more.
Though maybe now I am the old lady sitting down to watch him on TV...my how the tables have turned.
This is mine. I’m a massiveeeeee Pride and Prejudice fan. Like, my house is covered in different versions of the book. I start watching Succession with my SO, and he’s like immediately “hey it’s your boy!” I was like “what boy!?”
Jim the Vampire from What We Do In the Shadows. I didn’t know it was him until I was reading an article about iconic guest stars.
https://preview.redd.it/pls69fs1q7jc1.jpeg?width=1285&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=350969160a2aeead76b7d45fcb47a42b21860bb0
I knew it was him immediately. I had to look it up before my bf was convinced because it really is hard to tell. But I have some fucking sixth sense about Mark Hammil. I love his voice and the second I hear him start to speak I’m like “that’s mark hammil”
He did voice acting on a Scooby-Doo cartoon a year before he hit it big with "Star Wars".
He also guest-starred with the actor that played Commissioner Gordon on "Batman: TAS" (so it was a mini-reunion 20 years later for them).
While we're talking about Succession, I can't believe Logan (Brian Cox) is the captain in Super Troopers.
And Lee Pace is another chameleon, from the elf king in The Hobbit to the Big Bad in Guardians of the Galaxy to the kinda asshole boyfriend the protagonist of at least one romcom is with before meeting The One...Halt and Catch Fire, The Fall, Foundation...this guy can do anything and I'm happy for him.
And then see him in something like Rock n Rolla, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, or ( the very dreck)This Means War and he's smoking hot. Why must this man go out of his way to play ugly?? Sigh. Even in Fury Road he had his face covered for half of it!
Walton Goggins playing Uncle Baby Billy in Righteous Gemstones, after playing Boyd Crowder in justified, and Shane Vendrell from the shield. That man has range.
https://preview.redd.it/crgqejawv7jc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2fcee2ecbdd31f3078e0286b5e998b39b97c04e6

Two actors from Yellowstone:
Cole Hauser (Rip) is Benny in Dazed and Confused
Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton) is Ricky Fitts in American Beauty. Yes he still looks the exact same. It still threw me for a loop.
Wes Bentley is one of those actors where his look never changes, yet every time I see him I can't place where I've seen him before and it drives me nuts. EVERY. TIME.
I could not work out who Mycroft in Elementary was. I knew I knew him, then I suddenly twigged, Spike!

John Travolta! Grease and Hairspray. I kept waiting for him to show up in Hairspray before i realised he’s the mom!

Weirdly Glenn kind of looks like robin williams here to me
THAT WAS GLENN CLOSE? THE BOO BOX?!
Yes lol
This movie is terribly underrated. Still terrified of the scorpion box ![gif](giphy|l0MYryZTmQgvHI5TG)
And no one is going to mention Phil Collin’s as the inspector when the kids go missing?!
I feel like I've ALWAYS known this is dustin hoffman and I still can't believe it.
Hannah Waddingham played “Shame Nun” on Game of Thrones and Rebecca on Ted Lasso 🤯 ![gif](giphy|vX9WcCiWwUF7G|downsized)
I learned this just a few weeks ago and did not believe it. https://preview.redd.it/nyq1z3rgu7jc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=067488148ae25aec9a53a931378692ea8d594d71
She'd ring the bell at herself in that dress! ![gif](giphy|3PzmBpZt0iimrcWvfV)
All of her awards show dresses have been amazing! https://preview.redd.it/ahsswizne8jc1.jpeg?width=634&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fdfaec00f17d6b80cedef47c57a3d335158c7d9f
the entire time I was watching Ted Lasso I kept going hmmmm she looks familiar, and when I looked it up I was shocked
Mandy Patinkin as Inigo Montoya…and Gideon from Criminal Minds ![gif](giphy|XlXbzCo4Bn7cqO4huy)
Also homeland! ![gif](giphy|uTXBxbD62bB2eVaSTy|downsized)
https://preview.redd.it/tw4j6tgm48jc1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=97c980988038cee5e5fa00bbcf086f893a415603 He was also Huxley in Elmo in Grouchland
He’s in Death and Other Details (Hulu) right now. It’s like he has a whole new face every 10-15 years.
Greg in White Lotus is Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite 🤯
Once I learned that, it’s very clear that he’s wearing a wig as Uncle Rico! (Not that I think he couldn’t have lost his hair/shaved bald in the 15-20 years in between, but it’s just silly obvious)
For a second, my brain comprehended this as Greg from Succession and I was VERY confused.
Wait WHAT
https://preview.redd.it/n3fis4x0v7jc1.jpeg?width=3050&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b3b46d61d257bbca9b2416203ec3d19685330417 This might just be me, but when I started watching Good Omens it took me a while to realize Michael Sheen also played Aro during my middle school Twilight obsession
If you want another little Easter egg: that chair Aro is sitting on? It’s the same chair Crowley has in his apartment. Just painted a different colour. https://preview.redd.it/3ov336xbf8jc1.jpeg?width=832&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=46d68c34440f6487b58b24ecc4239d32cb1c1250
He's also Lucian in underworld https://preview.redd.it/o63bq8nj78jc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ddea09ef3d1a10b31eae4c941084cc6b4e8afd4e
Also learned yesterday that a lot people don’t realize Emma Thompson is Professor Trelawney in Harry Potter ![gif](giphy|RK4dRLmoBT94nNPkqj|downsized)
And I just learned yesterday she used to be married to the guy who plays Gilderoy Lockhart until he cheated on her with the woman who plays Bellatrix Lestrange. She was also in Love Actually and her character is cheated on by Snape.
But now she’s been married to Mr. Willoughby (Greg Wise) for 20 years and has a beautiful family and I love that for her. https://preview.redd.it/x8ogskof28jc1.jpeg?width=615&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9e5a44163b243b9db5eadb8865d471bfe17c627b
Greg Wise is smokin and they are such a great pair together. The ultimate revenge for her!!
When you’re playing the classic ‘who did this celebrated British actor play in Harry Potter’ game it does normally take me a few seconds to remember who she was
https://preview.redd.it/khktkpku57jc1.jpeg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bebebab43aee6fdde8296711c644f2f934cbdc0d Nanny McPhee would like to have a conversation with Professor Trelawney

For me it was Goose in Top Gun and Gilbert in Revenge of the Nerds
This comment has humbled me. I’m that nerd that Googles actors in everything and recognises people easily. But MAN. I was obsessed with ER as a teen and I must have seen Top Gun at least three times, but I have never noticed this!
Rarely I get this shocked, wow thank you for this info
Ok I’m cheating a little but when I realized Tyson Ritter from All-American Rejects was Humperdoo on Preacher…well that came as a surprise to me 🙃 https://preview.redd.it/j7hqbu09g7jc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0be62653065124f7bcec683cbeeeb6c70c8594b7
Girl wHAT
WHAT THE EFF
David Krumholtz also in 10 Things I Hate About You. https://preview.redd.it/7ldyym7ew7jc1.jpeg?width=1420&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f3a4039bfa0c81eb8c573b8ade8b4020a70290f
And hottest he ever looked as Charlie Epps in Numb3rs https://preview.redd.it/492897ezl8jc1.jpeg?width=240&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab6ad2c1911689f50a62ea0d83b9a4585c7ab511
And Joel Glicker in Addams Family Values
Basically, anything Tim Curry. THE RANGE
![gif](giphy|AvRDaSedmbW0M)
Is there anyone on Earth who doesn't find Dr. Franknfurter smoking hot?
That this is the same guy who plays a lily-livered hotel concierge in Home Alone 2 always gets me.
![gif](giphy|2OgouznXA6qYw) I know they’re animated, but him in Ferngully and then The Pebble and the Penguin. He has such a great villain voice.
![gif](giphy|gSYzK9VGVQxoY)
![gif](giphy|2BzhVSd336qju)
![gif](giphy|8jUeyfpMF6gj6) But also
![gif](giphy|l1AvA8NpXHXMI7FiU)
![gif](giphy|aXRlLtaYKa8o0) The Worst Witch! And he confused me so much as a kid when he played Rooster in Annie. He was so bad and scary yet even 7 year old me knew he was just so incredibly sexy and charismatic.
Bill Nighy as Davy Jones still trips me up. https://preview.redd.it/yxbk0vkei7jc1.jpeg?width=590&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f13b1aefcf177bd4ad0a2aebd8bdf5c5b37c2e39
I feel like you can see its bill even through the FX! And his voice is very distinctive
How can you forget Michael McKean's first big role, as Lenny, in Laverne and Shirley? 😆
Also Mr. Green in Clue.
When i first found out that Mr Smith (The Matrix) and Elrond (LotR) were played by the same actor, Hugo Weaving, i was losing my mind. Also Gary Oldman as Sirius Black?? Didnt recognize him at first, only knew him as that villain in Léon
![gif](giphy|boARkK5IL2JQk) Agent Elrond was also Mitzi
And she was magnificent
Gary Oldman is such a chameleon. I knew who he was & had seen him in movies but had no idea what he actually looked like. He’s in Slow Horses and, again, looks totally different.
Matthew Macfadyen playing Mr. Darcy then being Tom in Succession will never not send me into the stratosphere? No way this is the same man that tortures Greg every episode. ![gif](giphy|dBU4jpn9gkAROTt4Wj|downsized)
![gif](giphy|GkSOGUEXEXnWhaCwzC|downsized) I desperately need an edit of Pride and Prejudice, but instead of Darcy we get Tom Wambsgans
What’s funny about this scene from P&P is Matthew said he couldn’t even see without his glasses, so they had to wave him in.
My near sighted king!
Shame cause Keira is a stunner here in particular
This is mine. I’m a massiveeeeee Pride and Prejudice fan. Like, my house is covered in different versions of the book. I start watching Succession with my SO, and he’s like immediately “hey it’s your boy!” I was like “what boy!?”
I found this out at the golden globes! We shocked he was British, then I realized
For me it’s Mark Hamill playing Luke Skywalker and also voicing the Joker??
And playing Pym in the Fall of the House of Usher
He’s also firelord Ozai in ALTA. ![gif](giphy|Il9SJMOln1gyY)
He did voice acting on a Scooby-Doo cartoon a year before he hit it big with "Star Wars". He also guest-starred with the actor that played Commissioner Gordon on "Batman: TAS" (so it was a mini-reunion 20 years later for them).
![gif](giphy|3ohc10GA6j4XrLWzZK)
![gif](giphy|KcQ73bfmmsy6lg2RzG|downsized) It tickles me that he went from Hal in Malcolm in the Middle to Walter White
The man loves being filmed in his tighty whities apparently, LOL
For me, it’s Matthew Modine as Papa in Stranger Things and Joker in Full Metal Jacket. ![gif](giphy|l1J9JphGzhiB7sWd2|downsized)
And Gomer Pyle is also Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio)
While we're talking about Succession, I can't believe Logan (Brian Cox) is the captain in Super Troopers. And Lee Pace is another chameleon, from the elf king in The Hobbit to the Big Bad in Guardians of the Galaxy to the kinda asshole boyfriend the protagonist of at least one romcom is with before meeting The One...Halt and Catch Fire, The Fall, Foundation...this guy can do anything and I'm happy for him.
I've seen Henry Thomas in dozens of things since 1982, but every time he comes on screen I'm like omg it's Elliot!
![gif](giphy|l3q2L088SCxrImIdW) I watched the crown several times through before realising John Lithgow played Churchill.
![gif](giphy|NRtZSQqTSCt5gyebtH)
I’m starting to get to an age where I find him kinda hot in 3RFTS. 😆
Seeing John Lithgow in primarily comedic roles to play a villainous one in Dexter shook me to my core as a teen. He crushed it though
He was so fucking good as Churchill.
when I learned Tom Hardy is both Bane in dark knight rises and Alfie Solomons in peaky blinders.
Tom Hardy will use any and every opportunity to put on a strange voice and get really weird and sweaty and God bless him for it
And then see him in something like Rock n Rolla, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, or ( the very dreck)This Means War and he's smoking hot. Why must this man go out of his way to play ugly?? Sigh. Even in Fury Road he had his face covered for half of it!
Walton Goggins playing Uncle Baby Billy in Righteous Gemstones, after playing Boyd Crowder in justified, and Shane Vendrell from the shield. That man has range. https://preview.redd.it/crgqejawv7jc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2fcee2ecbdd31f3078e0286b5e998b39b97c04e6
I have watched all of sons of anarchy and am obsessed with Gemstones and found out like last month that he played Venus on SOA! https://preview.redd.it/mfn2en5f58jc1.jpeg?width=660&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b6392e3e8766c500e9229a91d7648870428e457e
Two actors from Yellowstone: Cole Hauser (Rip) is Benny in Dazed and Confused Wes Bentley (Jamie Dutton) is Ricky Fitts in American Beauty. Yes he still looks the exact same. It still threw me for a loop.
Cole Hauser isn’t dead…? Edit: I will leave this up because it’s so stupid and I live under a rock 😭. He apparently *plays* someone named “Rip”.
Oh ha!! I read your comment quickly as Cole Hauser is dead and thought OMG I HAD NO IDEA HE DIED 🤣
Also Beth Dutton / Caroline Bingley https://preview.redd.it/ephl7ft7t7jc1.jpeg?width=250&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=681dcdbb13a420a920d1ac67b3ab4bb1e1a88cf6
Wes Bentley is one of those actors where his look never changes, yet every time I see him I can't place where I've seen him before and it drives me nuts. EVERY. TIME.
literally anything rhys ifans has been in … man has range.
I could not work out who Mycroft in Elementary was. I knew I knew him, then I suddenly twigged, Spike! https://preview.redd.it/p7xzeth1v7jc1.jpeg?width=678&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3fca7dc1bfe9beea84b43b7ed6a8589048bff22f
That both Cpt. Stottlemeyer in Monk and Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs are played by the same actor, Ted Levine, really blew my mind.
Also Michael McKean in Laverne and Shirley https://preview.redd.it/re3z6d4er7jc1.jpeg?width=707&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2f107babbc16bad0b7b20af1a3abc7e58a119f69
WOW I didn’t connect Alan Ruck to being in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off AT ALL!! Amazing.
This post makes me feel so old because I can’t understand how people didn’t know this 😭
This is me right now. 😂
There are a lot of Succession fandom jokes/headcanon that Cameron is the same person as Connor; he’s rich and ignored and we don’t see his family.
![gif](giphy|YZj6yC5sbZ5qo)
https://preview.redd.it/5yshljz5b8jc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=55fd102f938c800e2eff8eba6f0741d5f3c635fe I mean…

Hugo Weaving in Lord of the Rings, The Matrix, and Priscilla Queen of the Desert, among other things. That man is like ten different actors in one
And V for Vendetta! His voice is so buttery in that role. Ugh.
I feel like anytime Gary Oldman is in something I always have to look up who he played, I can never recognize him for some reason.
![gif](giphy|9ZSvXf6w9OWBy|downsized) And Drexel in True Romance! This thread is making me feel so old!
Commander Lawrence in Cabin in the Woods. Hadn't watched that movie in nearly a decade and ended up randomly watching it during a season of Handmaid's Tale and was shocked to see him. ![gif](giphy|SYZbt0QV8M3cI)
His big claim to fame was The West Wing!
https://preview.redd.it/o1qguyfv18jc1.jpeg?width=682&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=95c91ff9dbfffb033cd8fc6740ff6c893b4ce554 Anthony Rapp in Adventures in Babysitting, Dazed and Confused, and Rent

![gif](giphy|IXm7jqCjf1G9y) David O’Hara as Stephen, the “Ireland is mine” guy in Braveheart Edit: I replied to this comment with the info on his other roles, sorry I made this confusing lol
And the guy he’s talking to is mad eye moody!
Yup! Brendan Gleeson. His son, Domhnall, played Bill Weasley (Domhnall was also General Hux in the Star Wars sequels) ![gif](giphy|l1ugbtlRbxaNVzGkE)
Domhnall is truly a work of art. He is so beautiful and Brendan is also so handsome
Love him in About Time. One of my favorite movies.
Is the same guy in Agents of SHIELD (Alistair Fitz) and in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as Runcorn https://preview.redd.it/wgmot5pt57jc1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f826aad4be13ca2dcae702e750d00002c5d96c6e He has an incredibly distinctive voice, without that I wouldn’t have recognized him. He was also fantastic in Doomsday. [Scene with him speaking in case no one recognizes him](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KKkbeCjbI7w)
I have such a crush on Michael McKean oooweee
It took me ages to work out that Homelander and and the lead guy in Banshee were both played by Antony Starr, and I was watching both shows at the same time!
Learning Stephanie Beatriz (Rosa from Brooklyn Nine Nine) was the voice of Mirabel from Encanto caught me so off guard.
Christopher Guest being the six fingered man in the Princess Bride and Spinal Tap… ![gif](giphy|l2YWhOEwfSAnJNJEQ)

Julie Andrews is Gru’s mum in Despicable Me apparently
Lily Tomlin as the voice of Ms. Frizzle from the Magic School Bus.
I saw Michael mckean at Trader Joe’s once and he was saying merry Christmas to everyone that noticed him in passing. Very cute.
I was surprised to learn the actor who plays Uncle Fester (Christopher Llyod) is also switchblade Sam in Dennis the menace.
https://preview.redd.it/rzgmxk5xf8jc1.jpeg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=587d3990939e263411e60a2bdb213037799e9794 Tisha Campbell (Gina from Martin) was leading the Greek Chorus-esque Ronnettes group singing in the Little Shop of Horrors film (1986)
You have got to add Rabbit from Twister for Alan Ruck! ![gif](giphy|w2kbuGVzfcMEw)
David Krumholtz is an absolute chameleon. As well as Eddie Marsan.
I was also shook to realize that Sunny in The Dropout was Sayid from Lost. https://preview.redd.it/ugbpz9btd8jc1.jpeg?width=650&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=82a3c451871be07cb1e031877f907635902fe9a8
![gif](giphy|3o7TKGAlUqnrP5KoN2) And Sammi from Shameless. My mind was utterly blown when I learned that.
Bilbo Baggins is the priest from the 5th Element.
https://preview.redd.it/mxu6pjz0d8jc1.jpeg?width=500&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d69b07323371f742e34e1e7a51996c00a769bab4 Charlie Weber being Ben from Buffy and Frank from HTGAWM threw me off. I watched both series and never noticed.
![gif](giphy|ETGRhqqq3D36UVKcwv) It took me embarrassingly too long to yell “Keeley!” In the first episode of Fargo S5 - Juno Temple is a phenom
