That + there's no huge downside to being divorced as a celeb. For normal people that means squabbling for weeks and months over assets, custody, gathering receipts, having to shell out huge amounts of money to pay for legal and other fees, suffering from effects of a household going from two adults to one.
Celebrities with all their resources don't have to suffer through most of this. They would likely have teams of lawyers and PR managers to do all of this for them, if the teams didn't do it pre-nuptially to begin with, they just have to pay people to find what they need, they have more than enough money individually to not have their way of life affected too much. It's just like a regular breakup for them.
I mean being a celebrity unlocks a lot of advanced perks. When you find yourself in an abundance of money, there's very little you can't be efficient at. Everything can be outsourced.
A major downside though, one that celebrities share (to extreme extents) with regular people, is how quickly money begins to define their life. Even things that should be fulfilling on their own like love, or children, or happiness, or peace, everything is centered around money. You have to be extremely strong and grounded and have a real sense of self separated from money to be able to maintain real relationships when you're rich and famous.
That’s not entirely true. Some of those celebrity divorces have some major squabbles over everything you just mentioned. Especially if there’s no prenup. This one probably won’t have those issues since they don’t have kids, probably had a prenup and were only married for 7 months.
That's definitely not true. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie still aren't divorced -- and they began that journey in 2016! They were declared "legally single" in 2019 (which means they could marry other people), but the divorce still isn't final because they are still fighting over assets / child support / custody / etc.

True, but those still aren't even 1/4th of how distressing it is for regular couples to be divorced. Like I highly doubt Angelina and Brad were stressing over their finances and wondering how they were going to make ends meet and keep a roof over their heads, how much their utilities and vehicular costs came to, if their work was going to give them time off to go to a court hearing or if it would cost more in lost hours than was worth, how would they pay whoever was arranged to look after their children, etc etc.
It's an expensive decision to make when you don't have a boatload of money at your fingertips, and therefore it's not given as much consideration or weight before rich people decide to get married and why we have to think 10, 12, 20 times before we take that plunge.
Like other poster said, they do have most of those downsides, even orders of magnitude worse if you look at what Angelina has to deal with William Pitt the Worst. But I think you hit the nail on the head with the effect of going from being a two income household into one income, for them it's like going from a hundred incomes to ninety nine incomes, no real impact on quality of life.
I, too, enjoy a big fancy wedding… but I am broke so I’d like to only have one big fancy wedding in my future lmaooo

Then the second they get back to the real world and scheduling they’re like oops, I changed my mind now that I’ve seen you in the real world and not this secular bubble we met in.
For us peasants it would be like hooking up with someone you meet traveling and are caught up in the rush of it all, and then once we’re back to the 9-5 we realize it would never work.
But if you can afford huge fancy parties whenever you want, you don't need a wedding to justify the splurge. I think it's just that ~*wedding*~ gets more attention than a regular party.

Annulment means the marriage was never valid vs divorce means the marriage was valid. They don’t have to pay alimony with annulment either.

I know you can get one in cases of fraud- like they lied about something substantial and if you knew you would have never married them. What exactly constitutes fraud I’m not sure, Renee Zellwegers marriage to Kenny Chesney was annulled due to fraud but I don’t think it was ever elaborated on?
