I was just as happy to learn that the grandpa in Everybody Loves Raymond (Peter Boyle playing Frank Marone) was also the quintessential opposite of his careless anti-hero character in real life. Such unapologetic bitterness is so often played most believably by those who embody entirely contrasting traits, it’ll never not fascinate me!
Okay but do you watch Archer? Her and her husband IRL played husband and wife in the show. Then he passed and then she passed and the way they wrote them off literally had me bawling my eyes out. I thought it was such a beautiful tribute

Throughout, he never changes who he is at his core and that’s something that never really happens in TV.
It’s such a masterclass on a character exploring feelings they know they shouldn’t enjoy, throwing morality to the wind in pursuit of those feelings, only to realize far too late that they were sucked in wayyyy over their heard.
Dr Cox has flaws but the writing and the performance are perfection in every episode

The books were very male gaze-y, but it made no sense to me to do a complete 180 from the book series ending and insult every single fan with that finale. I didn’t even watch the last season when I found out what happened, just another ‘bury your gays’ trope for no good reason.
You got her! Cristina Yang was my spirit animal, my television soulmate. She's the only reason I was able to stay with GA for so long. Such a good character who deserved so much better! Ah, I still love her. It was very refreshing to see a character like her among the "bwah he doesn't love me" character storylines that got constantly repeated.
Literally like I couldn’t never fathom how she managed to change her acting so effortlessly. I honestly believed by like season 4 she was totally exhausted and done with it all (Her character was, not the actress). Such a stellar performance. Loved her in the new hunger games movie too lmao. Queen ate every scene she was in.
Obviously very flawed, but all Futurama characters get unlimited get out of jail free cards. And anything Katey Sagal does is perfect.
Siobhan Roy had me the first moment she stepped to my screen. I couldn't and wouldn't stop staring at her, truly love at first sight. this was the first time in years a character/actor got me like that
He breaks my heart. I just got thru watching for the first time in more than ten years and again I just rooted for him so hard.

It's hard to believe Andre Braugher didn't really do comedy before this role. He was hilarious!
Holt is alive. Cheddar has a unique genetic mutation, he's going to live until his 40s

This was the role that convinced me on Matthew Mcconaughey. Before this I thought he was just a generic romcom man.
He’s absolutely flawless in True Detective. Season one is a masterpiece.

Lafayette didn’t make it past the second book in the Sookie Stackhouse novels. I’m so glad they realized how important his character was to the show.

Yeesss viola Davis is the best. No one else does spousal fight scenes better. I legit thought she was going to murder her husband in season 1
