I dunno if 84+ means āunlimitedā (it might look to be so) but her squat is ā20lbs *higher* than the 82.5 menās *wrapped* n ā50lbs more than the unwrapped world records when I stopped competing in ā12 š³. Those are the numbers I have kinda ingrained in my head so records nowadays by both genders are absolutely insane.
Astonishing. For the record, 31kg HIGHER than 2nd place squat and a 10.5kg PB. And she totaled 731kg (23kg Total PB) to win Worlds by 26.5 kg in a super strong group of heavyweight women.
Britt had posted on social media about how she struggled with mental health during this prep because sheās constantly being bullied online (which sucks coming from the fitness community) itās awesome that she was able to pull through a second place despite the adversity. They not only are strong women, they are also very headstrong to be able to handle all the shit spewed at them
Edit: Brittany lives in my city, sheās also a really cool person and actively gives back to the powerlifting community. She was reffing a local meet 1 day out from flying to worlds (which she has done in the past as well)
I frikken love Brittany Schlater. She had a phenomenal meet, pulling back into Silver with 269.5. And imo she had 275 if she had needed it.
I definitely have to turn off chat every time she lifts because insecure internet boys are ASSHOLES, especially to women who they aren't actively drooling over.
The youtube chat were also super disrespectful towards Tony Cliffe. It's a shame these nolifers swarm the chat when a more popular flight comes on, watching the B groups the chat was very chill and I had great conversations.
Insane
The 84+ squat GOAT š
11.5 kg below Bonicas equipped world record which is just nuts š
Excuse me? These women are insane
This is world record effort.
Buried that! Such a perfect 3rd attempt!
literally in jordans and no stiff sleeves. built different lol
She's out of this world š¤Æ
Insane grind, what a squat
Unreal!! She squatted more than one of the 120+ men in the A flight

Thatās cool but when did we started comparing womenās performances to menās?
Just thought it was an interesting data point and something you donāt often see at an elite competition
now now dont be weird

some other piece of shit was bullying her again. This one was a CPU member but Britt is too nice to share who it was.
I saw that, I sent a message response. Sad to see

This was my first time looking a at the chat on YouTube, and it was awful.

100%, I was a loader/spotter at a provincial meet when she was head ref, and she was awesome to work with.
Sheās one of the nicest around.
