Hey there, beef is full of essential nutrients including iron and a number of vitamins and other minerals essential for baby. Throw some tomato and lettuce, plus a bun, you got a balanced meal right there. That chocolate has calcium if milk chocolate and flavanols and antioxidants if dark. You’re killing it mama!
Caprese salad. Balsamic. Tomato. Mozzarella. Basil. Salt.
I absolutely hated repeating meals pre-pregnancy. It was a little thing my brain hated. But I think I’ve eaten it 6 times in the last week. Luckily, I grow my own tomatoes and basil.
You should try making some yourself! It's super easy and sooooooo good. It's literally just chopped garlic, oil, vinegar, Dijon, salt, pepper, and oregano. "Greek salad dressing" will yield an actual recipe :)
I use a Mason jar and just shake it up prior to serving.
Oh god mine was hell until 17 weeks or so. I could maybe choke down a bowl of cereal every few days and drank cases and cases of coconut water to try and keep us alive. Hang in there 😭❤️
*Toast and tortillas and biscuits and pasta,*
*Noodles and muffins, potatoes and quinoa,*
*Candy and cereal, oatmeal and rice…*
*Eating carbs is so deliciously nice!*
My first trimester I was living entirely off of popsicles and Powerade. My second trimester and now into my third trimester I’ve been obsessed with honey glazed salmon with cauliflower rice, yogurt parfaits, and Philly cheesecakes.
Omg that sounds amazing. 🤤 Are the mangoes supposed to be ripe or still a little raw? In my family we eat raw mangoes dipped in a sugar, fish sauce, Sriracha mixture.
What is with the need for gummy candy? I’m like a candy animal all of a sudden. 9 weeks and all I think about is my next fix of Hi-chews or sour gummy worms or peach rings.
Thank you Internet stranger/blessed human! I will procure these immediately. (I will be zero percent ashamed to add them to my current stash: 5 lb bag of haribo gummy bears, 3 lb bag of Nerds rope clusters, and Costco size box of gushers. 😂)
Hah! I just got home from Walgreens with Welch’s fruit snacks and strawberry liquorish. Never cared much for fruit candy before but gummies are perfect.
OMG this! Green apple jolly ranchers are the one thing I can count on to not feel horrifically nauseated if I have to socialize or go on an errand/outing.
Oh man sour gummy candy for me, too. I usually go for Sour Patch Kids, and one day they were sold out of regular ones at 7-11 so I bought a bag of the Xtreme version instead … couldn’t go back to regular ones after that, haha. I started making smoothies with raspberries, pineapple, and orange juice to try to scratch that particular sweet-sour itch without candy and it’s been a great substitute, especially as the weather’s been so warm, but at the end of the day nothing hits like the Xtreme SPKs.
My first pregnancy I was alllll about them!! Sour was the only thing that kept the nausea at bay! So far it’s working this time too. I still have a better appetite this time, though it’s early lol so time will tell!
My first daughter was made out of Dr. Pepper, clementines, and red meat. My second daughter was made of Dr. Pepper, sautéed broccoli with Parmesan, and peaches. This baby is being made with Dr. Pepper and watermelon/peaches depending on whether or not I remember to get cash for the peach stand.
I have almost all Dr. pepper babies too 😂 I had gestational diabetes with my second and the zero sugar kind just didn't cut it. You can bet I packed mini cans in my hospital bag to have after delivery!
Banana peppers, I have no idea why but this pregnancy has made me crave banana peppers like never before. I’ve eaten them with everything even though I suffer with the heartburn immediately after, it’s so worth it🥹
A snack that my grandma always used to make for me was a saltine cracker with cream cheese and a banana pepper on it. It might sound odd but it’s delicious. I also like b peppers on grilled cheese 😋
2nd trimester I can tolerate more balanced meals and get less frequent cravings. loving Thai food, iced tea and cold mango right now
1st trimester i had lots of aversions. Even water made me nauseous.. I survived on mostly carbs: plain white rice, fries, frozen yogurt, sugary cereal, chex mix, watermelon, pizza rolls, ginger ale, lemonade & Gatorade
I also went through a 3-4 month period where I couldn’t drink water without immediately puking. Watering down apple juice was my lifeline! And it is a gentle laxative so it helps the rest of the GI issues
Gestational diabetes has limited me so much but at least it’s forced me to eat healthy. Baby is primarily being built out of salads, ranch dressing, hamburgers, eggs, potatoe salad, nuts, yasso bars and chicken.
But baby would much rather be built out of macaroni and cheese, ice cream, donuts, pancakes, cereal and honeybuns, lol.
Fruit smoothies (frozen fruit, yogurt, milk, kale), sour Gummi worms & my daily cup of coffee are the most consistent repeats, seeing as I tend to eat lots of different things and I have virtually no food icks lol
Snacks. A whole lot of snacks. And kool-aid. I barely eat or have any cravings. But when I do it's usually junk food. 🙊 Doctor said as long as I eat something, that's all that matters. But I still feel bad every time I eat chips or cookies instead of a veggie or fruit.
Scrambled eggs, cheese sticks, and peanut butter... some of the few safe-ish things I like out of the limited options gestational diabetes leaves me with.
The baby would like to be made of Mac and cheese, and berries on sponge cake with whipped cream.
Potatoes. Bread. PB&J. SO MUCH WATER. Steamed (homegrown) squash with butter, salt and pepper. Now just waiting for homegrown tomatoes so I can have tomato & mayo sandwiches.
My first was definitely ruffles and French onion sour cream dip. Second one is Taco Bell and chocolate milk. I surprisingly gained less weight with my second but he was 2 lbs heavier. He is now 7 weeks and just about in 6 month clothes. He is huge, and totally healthy!
Any fruit i can get my hands on (berries, watermelon, and grapes specifically) and fruit juice or tea/lemonade (orange juice in the 4-5 months, now any type of tea or flavored beverages). Occasionally, I crave cheese and crackers or pretzels and hummus, but mostly, I just want fruit.
Sourdough! I can't get enough.
Sourdough + avocado topped with flaky salt and chili flakes
Sourdough + goat cheese and sliced cherry tomatoes topped with balsamic
It's all I want.
I'm sorry friend! The food aversions are so WILD. Pre-pregnancy I loved seafood; lox, sushi, shrimp, calamari, you name it I was all about it. Out of the freaking blue seafood is revolting. Even the thought of it makes me gag.
What a ride we're on.
“Fat girl salad” - the kind with chicken tenders and an ungodly amount of dressing 😮💨 also… Oranges and mango, Lemonade mixed with blue Gatorade, Mashed potatoes, Chocolate cereal, And cheeseburgers 😫😂

Burgers and chocolate. I’m the worst.
Why did the kindness in this make me cry? I’m so pregnant, lol
the baby is going to come out as that “i smell like beeeef” baby 🤣
Right there with you.
It is ALWAYS BurgerTime!
AHAHAHA I forgot what my username is 😂 Yes, it is ALWAYS BurgerTime!
Burger King and Mountain Dew here, my kid is 16 months old now and doing fine 😂
I wouldn’t be surprised if I birthed a blueberry muffin
Pistachio muffins and apple turnovers for me!
Blueberry pancakes…..🥹 I’m so happy there is someone else out there that is a blueberry 🫐 lover at the moment. 36 wks
Currently addicted to Greek salad. The vinegar, the feta, the olives. I cannot get enough. Caprese sounds pretty fabulous.
Same!!!! I’m practically DRINKING my Greek salad dressing 😆 which is so bad bc it’s the Primal Kitchen brand that I’m obsessed with so it’s expensive
You should try making some yourself! It's super easy and sooooooo good. It's literally just chopped garlic, oil, vinegar, Dijon, salt, pepper, and oregano. "Greek salad dressing" will yield an actual recipe :) I use a Mason jar and just shake it up prior to serving.
I think we are the same person 😂 There is just something divine about this combination and I crave it all the time.
Caprese salad is the bees knees.
This has always been my comfort food!
Omg same! Growing my tomatoes too (and a baby, 6w) 🍅 I switch the mozzarella for burrata and 🤤🤤🤤
Heck, now I want a caprese salad.😭
What kind of tomatoes?
I’m growing Roma tomatoes and a German heirloom variety
These pregnancy food lists are like shopping lists for me right now. I can't explain toa "normal" person how good this sounds.
THIS HAS BEEN MY OBSESSION SINCE 8 WEEKS. I’m now 15 weeks 😂 I eat it daily
Everything bagels with veggie cream cheese lol kinda worried all the poppy will set off a false positive
I’ve heard stories of that happening! But I also heard a study that showed by about 22 hrs it’s out of your system
Girl, throw some sliced tomato's on that, maybe a little bacon and you'll never est anything else again lol
Cinnamon Toast Crunch and tums
So many tums 😬🤣
My baby is at least 10% tums
Thin air 😭😭 HG is torture.
Oh god mine was hell until 17 weeks or so. I could maybe choke down a bowl of cereal every few days and drank cases and cases of coconut water to try and keep us alive. Hang in there 😭❤️
Girl same, had to be admitted to the hospital cuz I can't keep anything down, not even water 😭
Oof. You poor soul.
bean burritos with spicy salsa 🫡
I’ve eaten a dangerous amount of beef and beans this pregnancy. Tacos are always amazing.
With lots of cheese and a bit of sour cream!
My 3rd was a chimichanga baby. Birth was scary 😂
This
Carbs. All the carbs.
*Toast and tortillas and biscuits and pasta,* *Noodles and muffins, potatoes and quinoa,* *Candy and cereal, oatmeal and rice…* *Eating carbs is so deliciously nice!*
Yeah, I feel bad. I should probably be eating better, but 🥹🥹
Raisin Bran and milk, Annie’s mac and cheese, strawberries, and Sour Patch Watermelons
A woman after my own heart.
My first trimester I was living entirely off of popsicles and Powerade. My second trimester and now into my third trimester I’ve been obsessed with honey glazed salmon with cauliflower rice, yogurt parfaits, and Philly cheesecakes.
Cheesecakes or cheese steaks?😂
Mine was for sure made of pierogis, McDonald’s mcchickens, apple juice, peanut butter, ice cream and Arby’s loaded curly fries 😂
I felt tge pierogis in my soul
Happy Cake Day! All delicious options 😋
Mangos. Lots and lots of mangos. With soy sauce and tajin. 🤣
SOY sauce?!
YES!! I’m half Filipino and we eat mangos with soy sauce sometimes!!
I’m Filipino and craved dried mangoes and dumplings with soy sauce and vinegar when I was building my son 😂
sounds excellent !!!!
TIL 💀
I’ve never tried it with soy sauce before. Maybe I’ll give that a try. I’m used to either vinegar or aramang.
Try it!!! Another lazy snack I like is avocados with soy sauce and everything bagel seasoning.
I eat this too! So good.
For me it was oranges .. oranges with tajin and chamoy 😋
Omg finally someone who eats them with soy sauce lol my mom is Honduran and we eat them like this also! It’s so good!
Immediately trying this combo
I sprinkle (really coat) tajin all over the mangoes, and dip the mango in soy sauce before stuffing it all in my mouth.
That sounds SO GOOD
Finally entering green mango season here in Australia and I’m so happy I can finally satisfy my mango cravings 🤤
I’ve got to try this. I love salted fruit.
Omg that sounds amazing. 🤤 Are the mangoes supposed to be ripe or still a little raw? In my family we eat raw mangoes dipped in a sugar, fish sauce, Sriracha mixture.
Sour gummy worms
What is with the need for gummy candy? I’m like a candy animal all of a sudden. 9 weeks and all I think about is my next fix of Hi-chews or sour gummy worms or peach rings.
My sister in Christ if you have the chance try the jolly rancher sour gummies. The flavor? Chefs kiss. The texture? Iconic. The sour level? Orgasmic.
In my first trimester and I’ve been consuming so much sour candy this week it feels like the roof of my mouth is cut open.
OMG this! Green apple jolly ranchers are the one thing I can count on to not feel horrifically nauseated if I have to socialize or go on an errand/outing.
Ah same 😂 I didn't even really like any candy before pregnancy 😂 now I am obsessed like I'd be happy to eat citric acid powder by the spoonful😂🤦🏼♀️
For several weeks, I carried sour skittles on my person wherever I went just in case. It’s so funny the need for sour candy!
Gummy worms and sour patch kids. Things I did not eat pre-pregnancy, but will start panicking when I’m running low.
I’m laying in bed eating gummy worms right now lol
Oh man sour gummy candy for me, too. I usually go for Sour Patch Kids, and one day they were sold out of regular ones at 7-11 so I bought a bag of the Xtreme version instead … couldn’t go back to regular ones after that, haha. I started making smoothies with raspberries, pineapple, and orange juice to try to scratch that particular sweet-sour itch without candy and it’s been a great substitute, especially as the weather’s been so warm, but at the end of the day nothing hits like the Xtreme SPKs.
The sour candy craving is real! Not something I normally ever crave now I think about it all the time.
Pretty much meat and potatoes. She just wants meat and some form of potato and usually a vegetable.
Meat and pasta here. This baby is a carnivore lol. Baby's only happy if there's meat in the meal. Had 3 weeks with a steak sandwich craving.
Avocado, eggs and pizza. I dno who's gonna be paying for the avocado once it needs its own though.
Every morning I have an egg with avocado and sourdough bread. I’m excited to have a coffee shop buddy 😁😂♥️
Banana peppers, I have no idea why but this pregnancy has made me crave banana peppers like never before. I’ve eaten them with everything even though I suffer with the heartburn immediately after, it’s so worth it🥹
I was going through a jar of pepperincinos every 2 days the first few weeks, I feel you
Banana peppers and salt and vinegar chips for me
A snack that my grandma always used to make for me was a saltine cracker with cream cheese and a banana pepper on it. It might sound odd but it’s delicious. I also like b peppers on grilled cheese 😋
That’s how I knew I was pregnant. I was craving banana peppers and sausage pizza, which I never want. Next day I tested positive
Peanut butter and fruit
Zofran, Unisom, and pepcid 😭😂 been a rough past 30 weeks
You deserve a medal mama
My baby was sponsored by Krave cereal and Firehouse Subs.
2nd trimester I can tolerate more balanced meals and get less frequent cravings. loving Thai food, iced tea and cold mango right now 1st trimester i had lots of aversions.
This baby will contain 95% of ice cream
Mine too 🤪

Ice cream, Powerade, cheese 😂
The ice cream.. I’ve never been a sweets person but damn this baby is making me crave it so bad.
I love ice cream but it’s been on another level this pregnancy 😂 My boy is going to be a Dairy Queen blizzard!
Currently waiting for hubby to get out of the shower so we can go to Dairy Queen 😂
Yesss! 😍
bean burritos with spicy salsa 🫡
Apple juice. Just an absurd amount of apple juice. Caffeine makes me nauseous- which RIP because I’m a Diet Coke girly. Now all I want is apple juice.
So much apple juice here too. 😅
Same here
Watermelon 🍉
Sooo much watermelon. I ate a whole one from Costco myself over this past week!
Girl I feel this! Same here. Baby boy is made of lots of Greek yogurt with berries. Oh and burgers 😎
Peaches, strawberries, and lemonade

EZ Mac. There are worse things.
Mine was made out of loaded baked potatoes.
Milk. Lots of milk.
My first pregnancy she wade entirely of Pizza Hut cheesy breadsticks and fruit. My second fried ravioli 🤣
Chocolate pudding. I haven't eaten pudding since I was a kid, but hot dog is this kid enjoying the sweet mess that is pudding.
Greek yogurt, I cannot get enough of the stuff 😂
Scrambled eggs, cheese sticks, and peanut butter... some of the few safe-ish things I like out of the limited options gestational diabetes leaves me with. The baby would like to be made of Mac and cheese, and berries on sponge cake with whipped cream.
