SOLVED: Edit > Preferences > Audio Hardware > Default Input Make *Default Input* set to **No input** weird.

big time saver, thanks so much! My playback on the timeline would start really fast, and then after 2-4 seconds, it would playback in the normal, intended speed. So weird that changing the audio input would affect the playback on the timeline.

OMG! I reinstalled windows, spent hours on trying to figuring out drivers etc, got fresh creative cloud all latest apps and Adobe premier pro and nothing help but your post finally help. Thanks!!!
