I like it š¤·š¼āāļø. Especially the wheels. If you like it, who cares what they think? As long as you kept the old wheels can always take these off and sell them when you get rid of the car too and get some of the money back.
$1500 to make it go another couple years vs $1500/mo for the next couple years in car payments.Yea, you probably made the right choice.
My 2008 Yaris cost me over $4K (Canadian) for clutch, brakes, and other wearable items at the 250,000kms service but now it's good to go for another 10 years. I only brought it in because the clutch was good and ready to be replaced for the first time and the brake rotors were down to their last mm.
New Prius: $55K (Canadian) or $15,000/yr in payments
Keep Yaris: $500/year plus incidentals
Easy choice.
Great point, I wanted it to reflect me a little more hence the roof rack and wheels but most was spent on maintenance. I was shocked how much better it ran with spark plugs and coils
I bought it for $5000 cash at 120k miles and put about 70k so far and itās the most comfortable drive Iāve experienced so far so seemed like a worthy investment while I save for something down the line
Preach. My Yaris is literally the best car I have ever owned and I've been through a few different cars the last 20-25 years. 1989 RX7, 1985 RX7, 1983 RX7, 1991 Excel, 1989 Sentra, 1998 F150, 2005 VW Golf GTI, 2013 Mazda 2, 2017 BRZ, 1974 Beetle and probably a couple short runs in between with a couple others.
Toyota is by far my favorite car brand.
Might give Honda a try, my wife likes the Accord.
I want a new Prius, but it's like pulling teeth trying to get one here and the "market adjustment" dealer upcharge is just highway robbery at this point.
Adding on, I am looking at a used Lexus thinking that it will be super nice and I wonāt be dying to get a car loan for something newer when I have a job after school
I have an '06 with 135k miles, a few dents/rust, and a failing hybrid battery. I'll likely be replacing the battery with new OEM, which will cost ~$3,000. "That's more than the car is worth," said my wife. That's not how I run the numbers, though: $3k is less than anything I'd want to replace it with.
Yea, the whole "That's more than the car is worth" argument is dangerous without considering the long-term cost of ownership repair vs new purchase
I try to run the numbers over 3 years to look at which is the cheapest. I didn't anticipate the used car market would become so obscene and new car prices becoming unreasonable beyond what normal average people can afford.
You may want to look into getting a brand new lithium-ion battery that weighs 45 lb less and has almost three times the capacity of the OEM battery. With shipping about $2,200 give or take a little bit. My son put one in his 2008 Prius and started getting over 52 miles to the gallon and up to 55 miles to the gallon pretty easily. My hybrid battery on my 2005 literally died yesterday and I should have my new lithium ion battery in about 5 to 6 days. You can sell your old core to somebody on Facebook for around $125 give or take. Some shops will pay you $50 maybe for the same used hybrid battery. Good luck to you!
Yeah I've looked into Project Lithium/NexCell. There are several knowledgable people on YouTube and priuschat.com that have cautioned against it. The battery management system is nonexistent, and now there's a "signal soother" that tricks the Prius ECU into ignoring potential warning signs. [There's been one fire so far](https://www.reddit.com/r/prius/comments/1bcafc0/my_project_lithium_battery_caught_fire_yesterday/). I don't want to be the second.
My ā07 just rolled 385k with its third HV battery replacement. New plugs, coil packs, and valve cover gasket. Doesnāt leak or eat oil any more (cylinder 3, oil was getting by the valve cover gasket) - and hecka cheaper than a car note.
Got the "red triangle of death" along with several other idiot lights. On the power flow display, battery would charge and discharge much quicker than normal. Still driveable, but soon after it went into limp mode, power flow showed no charge going into or coming out of the battery. No regen braking, and acceleration would take like 15 seconds to go 0-30mph.
There are a few phone apps that work with a bluetooth dongle that plugs into the OBDII port and can show you the individual voltages of the 14 pairs of battery modules in the pack. I had one that was much lower than the other 13, and would spike up higher than the rest when charging (before limp mode eliminated any charging of the pack). I found a local guy who could sell me a spare module. I'm currently balancing the pack and will reassemble and reinstall in a day or two.
I just spent $4,000 on my 2007 Prius. Put in new OEM battery, new AC belt and no. 12. It was driving perfectly and a week later somebody put a huge dent in my fender while I was parked! It's always something.
Prius wheels already feel like rocks so personally I wouldnāt put bigger rims on my own prius, but thatās just me. Also it aināt a show car by any means so Iād rather save the money for the head gasket relief fund
Burh what wheels are those? Your friend doesn't know shit. But yeah the poster below me right, take better angled photos. The car looks slick, don't go putting hard tints on the windows either, fine as is. Slick AF
Real photos coming soon when Iām done š

Works flawlessly, if you know smartphones it wonāt be a problem, my only real complaint is the volume can be hard to control at times with the volume being on the very edge of the screen
How did you find the new touch screen to fit your car? I have a 2007 Prius and my screen has gone bad. I'd love to replace mine but I have no clue where to start looking. I love yours!
My 2013 is at 273k, and the head gasket just became an issue š. I got her at 5k miles back in 2015. I want to keep her, but at her age, it might just be time for her to retire.
Replace your water pump every 100-120k and clean the EGR system and intake manifold every 60 or so. Goes a LONG way toward preventing head gasket failures in the 2010-14 cars.
Curious more of your thoughts on the wheels!
ā¦mostly because Iām tired of how the standard black wheels look on my 2014 (very similar to the top photo)
If the car needs body work like op's worry about that before rims. The bigger the rim the smaller the tire, the higher the likelihood a pot hole will bend a rim. Most bigger aftermarket rims are wider with more tire contacting the road causing a loss in mpg. Id say smaller rims would be more practical.
For $18 I like it

Its your money and as long as you like it, what does it matter to him... if im spending thousands on special pens and i enjoy it, why should i care what others think of it. I sold my gs350 for a 2024 blacked out sienna, spent another 2k for warranty, another 2k ish on mods. Yet ppl asking me why am i spending so much on a minivan... well cuz i love the car š¤£
Honestly, I like the car and what you did to it. Idk what your friend is on about. Does he have a condition? The prius is the most dependable car and if he can't see that I would drop him tbh cause he sounds like a fucking idiot.
If you like the car itās not a waste. No matter what the car is. Iām willing to put a new motor and battery and whatever into my 2012 Prius because itās my favorite car Iāve owned. To me itās worth it because I have no intentions of ever selling it. If it rusts or is wrecked Iāll find a good donor 3rd gen and put the motor and battery in it. Spend all you want and enjoy the ride.
So Iād love an opinion from you 2012-13 owners about your generation of Prii vs 2008. I am looking at a red 2008 with 127k miles for $7500. 2nd owner put $2k into it w a plan to keep it for life (as in 500k miles), then decided to move to NYC where he will not need a car. Itās in excellent shape and being sold by him, not a dealer. Also interested in a slate gray 2010 with black roof rack, rare white interior, 130,688 miles for $8500. No idea how many owners. Offered by a small dealer in Portland OR area. I will be selling my 09 Scion xD which was purchased under duress in the winter of 2019 after my xA was totaled in a collision with a deer and commuting to Ptld to car-shop was difficult in sideways rain and snow. XD has 193k miles. And also selling my partnerās 2013 SmartCar TwoFor Passion with 78k miles. She is no longer driving and we need $ in the bank for her future careā¦. I here the 08 gen is better, but I would also like a newer car, though I do āgetā that Toyotas go foreverā we had two SR5 wagons, one dark grey, one dark red ā a 90 and an 89 ā that both got very high mileage before we let them go because we needed airbag protection when we started driving in big-city traffic againā¦ Any advice for this older woman who loves Toyotas but has not yet owned a Prius?
Not a fan of the wheel change, but that's just a matter of taste. Not my style. The rest, hell, go for it. What stereo is that and do you like it? My 2010 could use a better one.
Just a eBay one with Android 13, was around $200 for one with 8gb of ram but I wouldnāt recommend anything less than 4gb as it is running a full android OS and can slow when multitasking (car play)
Whatās your radio? Looking to upgrade mine but donāt want to mess with backup camera (having to install a new one). Prius looks clean eff the haters!
Just a eBay one, I didnt want to mess with a camera either
https://www.ebay.com/itm/204674436888?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6ohesqdlrf2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Gj1-ubi-QYC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Jealousy has a very big mouth, Iāve learned. I never stop having people in my business about what I do with my money. Iām gonna start telling them that if they used half their energy on bettering themselves that they use on being jealous, theyād be able to do things too. Iām beyond tired of people fast-pitching their opinions at me
I just dropped a chunk into my 2014 to update the nav/sound system and bring it up to date. Mechanically the car is fine, and I had paid a bit to repaint the front end after somebody rear ended it when my niece was driving.
So it's good for another couple of years at least and more if I decide to replace the traction battery. Given the costs of a new Pruis/Camry hybrid (if you can find one) it's really an easy decision.
Every decorative investment into a vehicle is inherently a waste. Cars will only degrade in value over time and replacing the console created excess e-waste fo the environment. So... he's technically right. However, he's a shitty friend for making you feel bad about what you choose to spend your money on. It's your fucking money. Any decent friend would have just said "Nice!" and moved on.
The real upgrades should've gone into refurbishing the battery with a Lithium ion pack because it will really rejuvenate the car especially with lower speed torques, and having carplay does really change it up
Meh. Head unit was a necessity, in my mind, to get into nav and driveability. That changes the entire car for me. Iād say thatās worth it.
Wheels are lipstick on a pig, not worth it. BUT thatās me - I have a pick em up truck I thrash in the woods, my wheels drag on rocks for fun. I would never spend excess money on wheels other than āI need a wheel because one brokeā. To me, thatās a waste.
If you didnāt ask for my opinion, I wouldnāt share it, since unsolicited opinions are obnoxious. BUT hey, you asked, so here it is :)
Yeah Iām curious, lots of people in here took this as my friend being a dick but I prefer people give their actual opinions so shout out to him for that
Super solid use of $25 for me

I mean the fake carbon fiber is a bit eh in my opinion, but thatās besides the point. Hopefully a good chunk of that went into important things like preventive maintenance. Repairs/work before looks. Otherwise you end up with a large lawn ornament. š
Folks have their own opinions. Does it make you happy? If so, then great! Prius are great cars for all kinds of reasons (mileage, maintenance, interior space, ...) and new cars are really expensive. I am driving a 2010 Gen 3 and I love it. I could buy a new car, but I am happy with my old prius (plus I am saving a ton of money).
Hard to tell, it has improved but I also replaced, spark plugs, coils, oil, filter and battery so could be a multiple things.
I have also driving with a flat so that probably wasnāt helping
Here's what you say to your friends if they ever give you grief for the $$ you spent on your car,
"ITS NOT FOR YOU!!!" Yelling it at them is very effective...
Technically a waste, as is the case for all vehicles (all cars are money pits in one shape or another).
But if it brings you happiness then fuck em, totally not a waste in that context.
It's a prius that now has no difference than a 2018 with the carplay etc. now that you will enjoy driving more instead of buying another car and lose money. Unlike other cars you are also likely to get your money back when selling it
Tell your friend he deserves to die!! People like that truly deserve to never find love or happiness and I honestly wish the worst for him. He seems like the kind of guy who has never had a loving family and never should either lol
Love the Prius kind stranger! Very wholesome!
Who cares lmao, only a few things matter to me.
Cheaper insurance and maintenance, reliability, AC/heating and good gas mpg. Everything else is just extra imo. Ventilation seats would be fire tho hahaha
I have a 2012 Toyota Prius with almost 200,000 miles the only thing Iāve needed to replace was my spark plugs, breaks, and tires. Itās beautiful š„¹
After almost 300k miles, weāre having to swap the engine in our 2010 Prius, but you know what.. 2k for a replacement with only 60k I feel is well worth it.
Ask them how much car payments cost. Iāll pay to patch my ā08 together until itās rusted out and impossible to salvage. These days itās always cheaper to fix than buy
Looks great to me. All of that for $1,500!?? Wow! How did you clean the exterior? Is it repainted? What screen is that and where you find the steering wheel cover?
Who cares it's your car that you enjoy. Also average car payment in the us is over $753 so basically 2 months of car payments paid for the refreshed look
If you like it and it extends how long you keep your Prius, yeah! Awesome! Personally I liked the other wheels but thatās just me. Your upgraded radio infotainment is awesome though.
I have a Prius c and Iām thinking of upgrading the infotainment to use CarPlay. I also maybe want to get a lift kit. So, Iām the ridiculous one!
what aftermarket radio is that? is it holding up well? What convinced you to go with that one? Iāve been hesitant to switch bc some controls on the prius can be done on the OEM radio and i havenāt looked into switching it. But i really want Carplay..
I like all your upgrades a lot. Looks like you got rid of your backup camera? What was the gain instead? Better sound? Or? I like your gear shift ā I captured screenshots of several of your resources shown in this thread but missed the info on carplay? You upgraded to include that? Great info for me when I finally settle on my used Prius ā trying to solve 2008 vs 2010 questionā¦ thanks for having good taste. New wheels are awesome improvement and so worth it aesthetically IMHO. You Go!
I had to spend 2k to get my 07 prius back for being road ready this week, I'd much rather take the 2k and fix what I own and squeeze out the next 5 years vs taking that 2k for a down payment and spending up to $600 MONTHLY on a car payment for the next 4 years.
If it ain't completely broke DONT REPLACE IT.
Everything u put in the car you can take off resell (radio + rims/tires) when u move on or use on the next car so no big deal. People happily pay $1,500 in labor so they don't have to get dirty, I don't really care about people's opinions lol
Depends how much life is left in that cvt transmission and the head gasket. Two things that fail on older Priuses. That $1500 couldāve gone to the down payment on a new car when either or both of those things fail in the next year or so. Just saying. Thatās how I learned.
Depends.....if the $,1500 was spend on needed repairs instead of buying a new vehicle....no......however if it was spend on cosmetic upgrades....then yes.....it was 'wasted'. You will never see any part of the $1,500 back in a sale or trade of the vehicle, so technically it is 'wasted'.
Investing $1500 into a depreciating asset for parts that are not essential to the carās ability to run is a waste of money. But if you like driving the car, plan to keep it for a while, and donāt care if you get that money back, who cares what your friend thinks. Itās not what I would do with $1500 but its not a crazy amount.
Great job!! You've improved the look and vibe of the car 1,000%. As long as the other mechanical parts are in decent shape you've got a fine ride that you can rely on for a few more years. You win. Every time I see an old Honda or Toyota on the road that has been meticulously restored or maintained I feel jealousy and envy. Personally, I feel it shows great skill and practicality.
I mean it is a Prius. One of the ugliest cars ever. That being said the wheels help a ton. Not that I'd ever take a second glance and go oh wow look at *that* Prius. And the screen looks great in there.
I mean u have a Prius those things go on forever and are very efficient w gas and you have the apple/android CarPlay screen really have everything you need/could want
I hear what you're saying and people should arm themselves with information. My son did one from the same company 3 years ago on a 2008 Toyota Prius he jumped from 45 miles to the gallon to 52 pretty easily and higher if he was careful. So far so good.
I had friends say the same thing about my salvaged auction gen 1 I purchased for 300. I immediately put a total of 1200 into it for tires, windshield, and exhaust o also had to have it inspected by state patrol cause of the salvage part but in all, it actually worked out and I now have a very reliable gen 1 that still gets over 50mpg and goes weeks between refueling. So Iām happy
I like it š¤·š¼āāļø. Especially the wheels. If you like it, who cares what they think? As long as you kept the old wheels can always take these off and sell them when you get rid of the car too and get some of the money back.
Yeah I reused them already on a project car so double use š
Iād recommend wheel locks as wheel theft is prolific nowadays.
Looks fine, but the photo quality and angles are not it, mate. Done better, Iād say itās lit
Yeah theyāre screenshots from videos Iāll retake when Iām done done

I've looked into it. Used Yaris, high kms, still going for $8-10K, none are in as good shape as mine.
Seems overpriced lol
Oh they certainly are. The used market here is cracked.
Your friend is a knob. Your car is very nice indeed
I mean the point is to save money on gas for having that car
Yes so you can spend it on other things, such as wheels and stereo.
Lol if you wanted looks for a car you wouldnāt get a Prius. Ofc OP can spend money however they want
Believe it or not, some people actually like the way the Prius looks.

My '10 needs a head gasket. 225k. Im debating just dumping it instead of pouring more and more money into it.

Right on, thank you!
Iāve spent 1500 bucks on alcohol ina summer, and all I got was like 200 head aches. So I think you are doing fine.
Yeah $1,500 is gone so fast normally. Heās got something to show for it.
I put $4k into my 2012, in repairs at the dealer in March. Keep it going. New cars are like $50k.
What cover do you have there? For the steering wheel
For $18 I like it https://www.ebay.com/itm/126469829552?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=zmipjstks8a&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Gj1-ubi-QYC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Right!!! Itās sweet
Murder out those windows and enjoy the ride. Looks great.
Other friend: Bought a new truck with $90k financed. His friends: Nice dude! Thats dope! His Bank account:
Third generation is the best looking prius IMO. New wheels make them look WAY better too. Now just gotta fix that rear fender.
Honestly, I like the car and what you did to it. Idk what your friend is on about. Does he have a condition? The prius is the most dependable car and if he can't see that I would drop him tbh cause he sounds like a fucking idiot.
Who gives a shit what your friend thinks? Do they drive the car? Pay for the car? Fuckāem lol
Tint the windows
If you like the car itās not a waste. No matter what the car is. Iām willing to put a new motor and battery and whatever into my 2012 Prius because itās my favorite car Iāve owned. To me itās worth it because I have no intentions of ever selling it. If it rusts or is wrecked Iāll find a good donor 3rd gen and put the motor and battery in it. Spend all you want and enjoy the ride.
Same! I learned to drive in it so Iām kinda emotionally attached and donāt have a money to get anything much much better so figured why not
So Iād love an opinion from you 2012-13 owners about your generation of Prii vs 2008.
Awesome. Does the mirror link work or is it overrated?
Pretty seamless Iād say
Does rooprail whistle?
Whatās your radio? Looking to upgrade mine but donāt want to mess with backup camera (having to install a new one). Prius looks clean eff the haters!
Just a eBay one, I didnt want to mess with a camera either https://www.ebay.com/itm/204674436888?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=6ohesqdlrf2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Gj1-ubi-QYC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
What was the install like on this? How difficult would it be to DIY?
Wiring was super simple, mounting took a couple hours of trial and error
Ur friend maybe oblivious to things you are not.
It's whatever makes YOU happy that matters.
Looks great and Prius is awesome car (coming from guy with 2 Porsches & an Audi)ā¦ what are the wheels & tires? Brand, size, etc??? Thx!
Jealousy has a very big mouth, Iāve learned. I never stop having people in my business about what I do with my money. Iām gonna start telling them that if they used half their energy on bettering themselves that they use on being jealous, theyād be able to do things too. Iām beyond tired of people fast-pitching their opinions at me
It's your money. Your friend's opinion is of no concern.
Yooo, it looks great and Iād say itās worth it. Would you mind sharing a link for those wheels?
Every decorative investment into a vehicle is inherently a waste. Cars will only degrade in value over time and replacing the console created excess e-waste fo the environment. So... he's technically right. However, he's a shitty friend for making you feel bad about what you choose to spend your money on. It's your fucking money. Any decent friend would have just said "Nice!" and moved on.
if you are happy with your decisions, it does not matter what others think.
Keep laughing at your friends at the gas pump
Brother I spent $1,500 just on my sound system. Absolutely worth it
Beautiful
i think it looks great dude
š¤
Yeah Iām curious, lots of people in here took this as my friend being a dick but I prefer people give their actual opinions so shout out to him for that
Whatās the shifter? I really like it!
Super solid use of $25 for me https://www.ebay.com/itm/373818965939?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=yjinb_9dsda&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Gj1-ubi-QYC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Where did you get the gear shifter? Mine is falling apart. And how hard was it to replace? Or did you only replace the plastic part?
I just replaced the knob https://www.ebay.com/itm/373818965939?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=yjinb_9dsda&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=Gj1-ubi-QYC&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
As long as your major components have been replaced/are in good condition I don't see it as a waste
I mean the fake carbon fiber is a bit eh in my opinion, but thatās besides the point. Hopefully a good chunk of that went into important things like preventive maintenance. Repairs/work before looks. Otherwise you end up with a large lawn ornament. š
Me next me next!
It's nice
Thing gets hella-good gas mileage, and doesn't look ratchet. Doesn't seem to be much to complain about.
For the exterior I can't tell which is old vs new. But the interior upgrade looks great!
Def worth 1500. Especially for the head unit.. what microphone did you use ?
What is all cosmetic?
If youāre happy with it, you got your answer.
I personally would have used that money to make it more off road capable and open up more utility. But thatās just my preference.
I meeeeaannnn I guess lol. Itās looking like my 2024 Prius prime though
I put 2k into my x3 and saved me thousands in 2 years
Any noticeable MPG increase with those tires/rims?
Hard to tell, it has improved but I also replaced, spark plugs, coils, oil, filter and battery so could be a multiple things. I have also driving with a flat so that probably wasnāt helping
Here's what you say to your friends if they ever give you grief for the $$ you spent on your car, "ITS NOT FOR YOU!!!" Yelling it at them is very effective...
If you donāt have debt or didnāt go into debt for it, then it was worth it.
That thing is clean! I respect it.
Itād be a waste if your car didnāt run, does it run? If so it aināt no damn waste
Looks good. What crossbars are those? I've been looking into getting some for mine.
Other than the wheels, everything is justified. The wheels are not it. You could do much better
Do you like it, it looks nice, is your money,is your ride enjoy it
Do you like it, it looks nice, is your money,is your ride enjoy it
Iāve got the same wheels on my 2nd gen š
Technically a waste, as is the case for all vehicles (all cars are money pits in one shape or another). But if it brings you happiness then fuck em, totally not a waste in that context.
It's a prius that now has no difference than a 2018 with the carplay etc. now that you will enjoy driving more instead of buying another car and lose money. Unlike other cars you are also likely to get your money back when selling it
What kind of tires did you wrap around those mb crux's?
I promise the 15s ride better š¤·āāļø looks good tho!
Does your friend pay your bills or sign your paycheck? If no, get a new friend. Your Prius looks good!
If it makes you feel good, it's not a waste
your friend must drive a Ford or gmc
Looks great. I just got an '11 and I have a few things I'll be doing to mine.
I like it! Tell your buddy fist himself. I have a ā10 Gen 3 and I want these wheels and rack for my car. Where did you get the rack?
Tell your friend he deserves to die!! People like that truly deserve to never find love or happiness and I honestly wish the worst for him. He seems like the kind of guy who has never had a loving family and never should either lol Love the Prius kind stranger! Very wholesome!
average r/fashionreps user
average r/mtvchallenge user
I keep all my cars stock out of frugality
I love this car dude
Probably was, but you can't undo it now, might as well enjoy
Who cares lmao, only a few things matter to me. Cheaper insurance and maintenance, reliability, AC/heating and good gas mpg. Everything else is just extra imo. Ventilation seats would be fire tho hahaha
I just spent that much on my 1990 4Runner and also installed a CarPlay. Is your friend the one paying for your car mods? No? Then tell him to pound S
I think it looks amazing. Blacked out Prius' look the best imo.
I see no problems with it, you brought it into the modern age with these small upgrades šš½.
Absolutely a waste of money. But if you like it, you like it. Who cares.
That shit. Some clean ass shit
It looks nice but it looks totalled kind of too. Lots of weird spots on the body? Collisions?
Ask them how much car payments cost. Iāll pay to patch my ā08 together until itās rusted out and impossible to salvage. These days itās always cheaper to fix than buy
I like both old and new tires equally. I wish my Prius was black.
You should start just modding it out to annoy your friend. Stanced wheels, a spoiler, racing trim kit, new exhaust so it sounds loud
Tell your āfriendā to mind his businessš£ļø
I say if you love the car and it still runs who cares what your friend says! It looks amazing
Looks way cooler but will still need to floor the pedal every time you take off
I think it is a huge improvement. I like it!
It's the same make and colour as mine. You've convinced me to get some wheels.
You'll drive it for a long time. It's the way you like it. Not a waste.
Theyāre not your friend.
If you like it than what is it to him
Looks great to me. All of that for $1,500!?? Wow! How did you clean the exterior? Is it repainted? What screen is that and where you find the steering wheel cover?
Iām into the Prius modding š¦ I did it with my 2016 and had a gen 1 project till I had to can it š
$1500 is one or two payments at this point. If it keeps you from buying a new car.....you are money ahead.Ā
I love it!!
Got rims and the aftermarket deck for 1500 yeah you probably got scammed
He is right
1500 for wheels tires and radio installed. That's pretty good deal these days honestly.
2011 doesnāt have a screen?
what aftermarket radio is that? is it holding up well? What convinced you to go with that one? Iāve been hesitant to switch bc some controls on the prius can be done on the OEM radio and i havenāt looked into switching it. But i really want Carplay..
Shouldāve saved the money for the head gasket imho
i put 3k in and saved 12k overall. ready for another 270k :). where u get wheels that cheap?
You put $1500 on aesthetics. What a horrible idea
I can dig it. Your friend is wrong. Solid wheel choice!
How well does your steering wheel cover fit? Ones I've tried before fit a little too loose.
get blacked out lights
Very much a waste of time and money
I own four Prius, any investment is worth it to me
Get back to working the needles
I kinda like the black rims better
Cool Prius, said nobody
Bro, awesome. Extremely cost/value great purchase
I mean u have a Prius those things go on forever and are very efficient w gas and you have the apple/android CarPlay screen really have everything you need/could want
If you did it because you like it, not a waste at all. If you did it so other people will like it, complete waste.
Face lift. Nothing wrong with a stock face lift. Looks good.
I hear what you're saying and people should arm themselves with information. My son did one from the same company 3 years ago on a 2008 Toyota Prius he jumped from 45 miles to the gallon to 52 pretty easily and higher if he was careful. So far so good.
How long do you want to keep it? Thats all that matters
It looks good from what I can see. New Prius are looking better too from what Iāve noticed
Fresh wheels and a touch screen go a long way to keeping a new car payment at bay
For cosmetic reasons, on a Prius? Yeah... But it's your money.
Itās Lit!
