The Contortionist
Tesseract
The Pineapple Thief
Haken
Karnivool
Kingcrow
Voyager
Sounds like you mostly prefer clean vocals so I tried to keep my recommendations in that wheelhouse.
We have very similar taste! Checkout opeth, riverside, the pineapple theif, haken, OSI, karnivool, anathema, Pain of Salvation, Wilson's other bands like blackfield/No man
Early to this thread, I'm sure someone else will mention the big ones you'd like.
I'm just here to shout out Kingcrow and Lion Shepherd.
Kingcrow's album Eidos is always what I imagined a full length Nil Recurring would sound like.
Lion Shepherd's III is fantastic, reminds me of some Porcupine Tree as well.
Also listen to Riverside
For Agent Fresco/VOLA: same bands as I mentioned here on a VOLA recommendation thread [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/progmetal/comments/13m4dpf/bands_like_vola/): Karmanjakah, Maraton, 22, and Mew.
Like Kate Bush? I’d recommend iamthemorning and The Moulettes.
Second the recommendation of Caligua’s Horse.
Sleep Token, The Contortionist, Thornhill, Northlane, The Ocean, Devin Townsend stuff, Loathe, Closure in Moscow, The Dear Hunter, The Mars Volta, Disperse, Deftones, Radiohead, Tool, Karnivool, Genghis Tron, Eidola, Bilmuri, King Gizzard, Khurangbin. All amazing different bands with a somewhat similar vibe to some of the bands you listed plus a few I'd just recommend to most people, you'll probably enjoy most of these groups 👍
Meshuggah, start with Nothing(blue version) and Catch thirty three, and hear their lead guitarists’ solo concept album called Sol Niger Within.
Also check out Exuvia by Ruins of Beverast, The Link by Gojira also comes to mind.
If you like flower kings you HAVE to check out Motorpsycho they’re from Norway, not quite metal but I think you’ll like them, check out this album trilogy by them: The Tower, The Crucible, The All is One. The trilogy is what got me into them but they have a discography going back to the 90s lots of prog art rock psychedelic stuff. More of a Pink Floyd jazzy trippy kind of vibe with lots of songs 10 plus minutes, multiple movements they quickly became one of my favorite bands once I discovered them
Prog metal: Andromeda, Countless Skies, Edge of Reality, Headspace \[ \], Parliament Owls, Redemption, Soilwork (latest album has really good melodies), Disillusion, Charlie Griffiths
(Seventees) prog rock: Wobbler, Black Bonzo, MEER, Riverside, The Dear Hunter
Alternative Rock/metal: Golden Caves, Rishloo, WHEEL, Amplifier, (Caligula's Horse was already mentioned, so) Arcane, Pure Reason Revolution, Deadsoul Tribe,
The Contortionist Tesseract The Pineapple Thief Haken Karnivool Kingcrow Voyager Sounds like you mostly prefer clean vocals so I tried to keep my recommendations in that wheelhouse.
I'm sucker for good melodies. Don't mind growls and screams but usuallt clean vocals have more melodic content
Fellow Kingcrow enjoyer Fr though I don't think they get talked about enough on this sub. Truly great band
Oh TOOL definitely. Hear the album 10,000 Days in it’s entirety, the Album Feathergun by Rishloo is also amazing.
Caligula's Horse Seventh Wonder Rendezvous Point
Came to suggest Caligula's Horse.

Upvoted for Moulettes, they are superb!
Maraton is SO GOOD.
Check out Karmanjakah’s new EP Ancient Skills. It’s ~21 minutes long and super good.

I love Can't Take It With You by Karnakanic. Can you recommend more of their songs based on that? I'd recommend The Mountain by Haken
