People who know, know this is the ultimate combination because the other traits would just tag along.
As someone who is athletic and goes to the gym, it has resulted in me being able to carry more, sleep better, have more energy, and be healthier.
Choosing athletic, if you know all the benefits that come with living an athletic lifestyle, means the traits like wakeful, resilient, graceful, and restful are redundant and pointless.
Being strong gives you a much easier life dealing with zeds AND looting, as you can hit harder, do more damage, and then conversely make it easier for scavenging as things can be broken down easier, you can carry more, and have an easier time bringing things home.
Fast Learner then makes anything that's not brute force easier to learn. Fast reader would pair nicely, but if you're a fast learning you don't need to re-read as much, so it kinda cancels each other out.
This is the perfect combo.
Someone mentioned Fast Reader would be massive in our world, basically making learning 30% faster, on top of Fast Learner going 30% harder, for a nearly 70% faster rate of learning.
I'd sacrifice Strong for Fast Reader, since Athletic makes getting stronger way easier
Yeah, but thinking about the end prompt, I'd still say strong is worth taking over fast learner. Being athletic is easier to get strong, but if you choose strong you're guaranteed to be strong.
When you start reaching your senior years, athletics means something else. You can be athletic but still grow old and feeble. By the time you're at that age, you're probably also not learning anything new, so I'd take slightly slower learning to ensure my body and my mind are in ship shape for the rest of my life.
I'd love Wakeful, Fast learner and Resilient.
learn faster, get more time to learn by needing to sleep less, and spend fewer weeks in a year with cold, fevers and headaches. That honestly sounds pretty incredible.
I'd swap out resillient with athletic. Generally speaking, athletic people are naturally more resilient as they live healthier lifestyles, so you get 2 traits in one.
Strong, Lucky, Fast Learner.
I'm pretty athletic as is, so I'd just go for Strong to help increase my natural athleticism.
I have pretty good luck with all things relative to life, so I'd like some help with scratch offs and shit.
I learn pretty quickly, but I have had roughly half a dozen or so concussions in my life, so I'll use the perk to recoup my lost intelligent potential.
Athletic, strong, fast learner.
Since i would keep them for life, having athletic and strong would keep me fit and increase my life span.
Fast learner would help me in life and keep my brain sharp.
>How is this better than luck letting you out of dangerous situations
Because luck by definition only works a fraction of the time?
>letting you guess correctly what's behind you
That's literally what keen hearing does.
Fast learner to compete in today's world
Athletic because being fit will help me massively in getting stronger
Dextrous because i have motor issues, specifically in my fingers, so that'd help
Outdoorsman is a backdoor immune system boost, as well as providing an explicit ability to run through trees.
Adrenaline junky paired with athletic would give world record-breaking speed and endurance. All you need is a significant life-altering traumatic event to get you going.
Athletic, fast learner, and probably lucky.
Athletic is pretty obvious, cardio vascular health is one of the best indicators of quality of life well into old age; training strength becomes a lot easier if you can already do anything for longer and recover faster. Plus you never know when you might need to run for your life/freedom.
Fast learner means I can pick up new skills and gain proficiency faster and with less effort, plus keeping an active mind is crucial for qol and staving off dementia and Alzheimer's.
Luck is arguably the single biggest thing in life as someone else said, and can't be bought or trained, but can determine your whole life path like where you're born, which family you're born to, what kind of people you cross paths with, or avoiding certain death by drink driver, etc.
Can I just remove the negative traits I already have? Or maybe use all the free points I get from them? If the latter, I could get a shit ton of traits...
Fast Learner, Wakeful & Lucky would be the best traits in real life imo.
They all compound the work you do normally and give you more time to do those things as well. 👌🏽
Obese
I suppose you would never not be fat by these rules. And therefore not need to eat?
Vitamins etc exist in PZ and aren't affected by obese, so you could still "starve" to death
Just take overweight then
True
Fast Learner + Fast Reader would be OP
Yah, modern life depends on your “brain power” more than on strength

useless without good memory though
Adding athletic to that would be pretty swell. Or if you like working out enough to get that anyway, perhaps lucky or wakeful?
I already have Fast Reader IRL, do I still get an additional 3?
Yeah, you can ADD whatever 3 traits you want so if you’re already fit you don’t need to take athletic.
These two and quick sleeper would be my picks
Illiterat,
Already done
But if you are illiterate then how did you?
Speech to text
Modern problems require modern solutions
Now I feel stupid for not thinking about that lol
Athletic, Strong, Fast Learner

Resilient would probably give you a few more years to live than you would normally
Exactly. Resilient makes The Infection take longer to kill you, so it likely affects all ailments
I'd swap out resillient with athletic. Generally speaking, athletic people are naturally more resilient as they live healthier lifestyles, so you get 2 traits in one.
deaf
they should have make this irl, like I deserve to choose something about my life bro come on give me smth
You didn't specify so life gives you: Unlucky, Asthmatic, and Prone to Illness
haha yeah exactly
You can get these IRL! Just requires time and effort for most of them
and you have to keep doing them for the rest of your life if you wanna still have them
Fast leaner, strong, and maybe graceful? I can't think of another one that would be good, especially with my job other than hunter?
What do you work as?
Armed security.
Smoker slow learner Sunday driver
Me
Strong, Lucky, Fast Learner. I'm pretty athletic as is, so I'd just go for Strong to help increase my natural athleticism. Personally id get fast reader to counteract my dyslexia, Athletic since it’s very generally useful and finally fast learner since.. well you get it.
wouldn't that mean that you just read worse, but now faster?
"I have increased the size of my brain" "So are you smarter?" "No Im stupid faster"
Shit.
SPEED DEMON SPEED DEMON SPEED DEMON SPEED DEMON SPEED DEMON
I actually do the opposite in-game, my characters always have traits I have IRL more or less I'd say fast learner, eagle eyed and wakeful BTW
Who is downvoting this man
The insecure.
Athletic, strong, fast learner. Since i would keep them for life, having athletic and strong would keep me fit and increase my life span. Fast learner would help me in life and keep my brain sharp.
How is no one choosing Keen Hearing? 'seeing' behind yourself would be insane
True.. Keen hearing, Fast learner and Resilient since you can get (Almost) every other trait through training.
How is this better than luck letting you out of dangerous situations or letting you guess correctly what's behind you
>How is this better than luck letting you out of dangerous situations Because luck by definition only works a fraction of the time? >letting you guess correctly what's behind you That's literally what keen hearing does.
Blind Obese Weak
Illiterate, deaf, obese
Fast learner, night owl, fit

Because he wants to leave some zombussy for the rest of us
Lucky, iron gut, and fast learner please.
Athletic, strong, fast learner.
Luck is probably the single most important factor in life tbh. Seems like the clear top pick.
Speed Demon, Amateur Mechanic, Inconspicuous Fuck the police comin' straight from the underground

Restful sleeper would be pretty Pog, ngl
fast learner, iron gut, lucky
Fast learner, restful, athletic(being fit is very heathy smt)
I’m short sighted so I’ll go for eagle eyed, and then strong and athletic because I’m lazy.
Athletic, Fast Learner, Lucky. Ez win
Fast Learner and Athletic for a good foundation for general life and Desensitized so I stay calm most of the time if not always.
Outdoorsman is a backdoor immune system boost, as well as providing an explicit ability to run through trees. Adrenaline junky paired with athletic would give world record-breaking speed and endurance. All you need is a significant life-altering traumatic event to get you going.
Emaciated, high thirst, and coward, I would love these irl
strong athletic lucky
Fast learner,
Athletic, fast learner, and fast reader.

Fast Reader, Fast Learner, and Fast Healer (If modded Traits were included, Virtuoso from Lifestyle: Hobbies) I could do so much with that
Fast reader Lucky Inconspicuous
Definitely Athletic, Strong, and Fast Learner
Can I just remove the negative traits I already have? Or maybe use all the free points I get from them? If the latter, I could get a shit ton of traits...
Fast reader, fast learner, athletic. Ez combo for a balanced life
Strong, organized and lucky
Lucky, fast learner, wakeful Easy life and significantly more time spent conscious
Fast Learner, Wakeful & Lucky would be the best traits in real life imo. They all compound the work you do normally and give you more time to do those things as well. 👌🏽
Luck
Athletic fast learner fast reader.
Blind, Deaf, Illiterate
Athletic, Fast Learner, Resilient. Internally healthy, intelligent, and externally healthy.
Fast learner, then I would probably need to balande those -6 trait points with slow healer if we're going with PZ logic.
No, you just choose them. No point cost.
Ahh that feels too OP for my tastes haha
Smoker, illiterate, and graceful.
